Nassau County Police are seeking information on three men who burglarized a store in Syosset on Thursday, April 6, at 3:30 a.m. According to detectives, police responded to the
Designer Exchange, located at 18 Jackson Avenue and observed that a side window was broken and multiple items inside were missing. A subsequent investigation revealed that three unknown

Cereal box challenge at Jericho Cares event BY GARY SIMEONE
There were over 800 boxes of cereal on the floor of the gymnasium of the G Jackson Elementary School in Jericho this past Tuesday. The boxes were arranged in the shape of the letter J and ready to be knocked over as part of the Jericho Cares nonprofit organization initiative. Fran O’Connor, a PTA member and president of Jericho Cares, said that the community had donated the cereal boxes to the school, and that they’d be given to local pantries as part of their food drives.
“After our event here today, the boxes of cereal will be given to us, as well as organizations like NSSK (North Shore Soup Kitchen) and Mid Island Y JCC and a few other local charities,” said O’Connor. “We decided to hold this event to get the community involved, and because food insecurity is very big on Long Island right now. This is just an extra way to have fun with the kids and get the school involved and most importantly to stock shelves in pantries.” For the event, the 3rd, 4th and See page 14
