Holiday Tree Lighting to be live this year It’s coming back live – Levittown Chamber of Commerce Holiday Tree Lighting will take place live on Monday, December 6 at Veterans Memorial Park. Town of Hempstead workers under the guidance of Terrance Murray, regional supervisor for the town’s Parks Department, decorated the 30-foot tree with more than 2500 bulbs in preparation for the event which takes place from 6 to 8 p.m., with the final attraction being a visit from Santa, who arrives via special transport provided by the Levittown Fire Department.
