POLAR BEAR PLUNGE

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino (center) recently joined with fellow participants for the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County Inc. (CP Nassau) 15th Annual Polar Bear Plunge held at Town of Oyster Bay’s Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park, Beach and Marina in Oyster Bay. This event helps hundreds of children and adults with disabilities that and receive services through CP Nassau. Supervisor Saladino thanked the organization before taking part in the Polar Plunge himself.

Spring Senior Citizens’ Luncheon planned for Hicksville Public Schools Hicksville Public Schools is pleased to host the 27th Annual Spring Senior Citizen Luncheon on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Hicksville High School. Festivities will begin at 2:00 pm with an opening reception for guests, followed by a luncheon with a choice of three delicious entrees: • Hot sliced turkey with mashed potatoes • Pasta in pink sauce • Chicken meatballs in gravy over noodles. Tickets are available for purchase to Hicksville senior citizen residents at $6 each during the hours of 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at the Hicksville Administration Building Reception Desk located at 200 Division Avenue. Entertainment during the luncheon will be provided by talented Hicksville High School music and theater students who will present musical numbers and acting prepared especially for our guests. Town looking at new concession services for TOBAY Beach The Town of Oyster Bay will hold a special meeting to hear applications for new concession services at TOBAY Beach on Thursday, March 21st, beginning at 10 a.m. at Oyster Bay Town Hall. “The Town Board will publicly hear presentations submitted in response to a request for proposals for the operation of food and beverage concessions at

TOBAY Beach,” Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino stated. “As with all our regular Town Board meetings, the presentations will be live-streamed through the Town’s website.” Presentations will take place as part of a work session, which the Board will enter into at the start of the 10 a.m. meeting. During that time, interested applicants will present their pro-

posals for concessions at TOBAY and answer questions from the Town Board. Councilmembers will utilize a scoring sheet to assist in making their selections based on evaluation criteria that includes the applicant’s overall capabilities, experience, organizational ability, financial capability, and fee and price structure.
