LIONHEART ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS
If you are an electric vehicle (EV) owner, you may find yourself needing to charge your vehicle while at work, therefore, Lionheart have installed charging stations at a number of our schools across Leicestershire.
The charging stations at our schools (see page 2 for locations) are a level 2 supply, providing a faster charge of up to 22kW, and users will need to ensure they have an appropriate charging cable with them.
FOLLOW THIS GUIDE FOR EASY CHARGING:
• To access the reduced staff rate of £0.47 p/kWh, register via this form first if you have not already done so. This allows us to approve application of the reduced rate in advance of your first use.
• Once approved as a staff user, you will receive an email from eCharge. Download their eCharge app, logging in with your work email address and the password supplied in their email. This is essential to charge at the discounted staff rate.
• Park by the charger at one of our school locations and plug the charging cable into your car.
• Find the charger location on the app via search, or by scanning the QR code on the site’s charger.
• Follow the instructions in the app to start charging.
Please be mindful that other users may wish to use the charging station, so we’d ask that you move your car to a parking bay once your charge is complete, and as soon as you are able. Thank you.
If you use an EV charger at a Lionheart School before you have registered and been approved as a staff user, you will be charged the public rate of £0.66p/kwh.

FAQS
Do I need to be part of the Lionheart Tusker staff benefit scheme to use the chargers?
No, the charging points can be used by private EV owners too.
Help, I can’t get the charger to work. Who do I contact?
If you need assistance, call eCharge driver support on 020 3813 1514. Unfortunately, staff at our schools are unable to assist.
Can I use any of the chargers, or only the one at my permanent place of work?
You are welcome to use any of the Lionheart charger locations, although it is worth familiarising yourself with car park/gate opening and closure times.
Can school visitors use the EV Chargers?
Yes, anyone visiting the school can make use of the EV chargers during the visit, however, as a non-staff member they will pay the full rate of £0.66 p/kWh. Please note that charger locations will not be shown as open to the public on maps, therefore, not encouraging general public onto our school sites.
There isn’t a charger currently listed at my place of work. Will you be installing further EV chargers?
Yes, site surveys were undertaken at all other Lionheart schools in December 2023 and phase two installations will take place throughout 2024, with more details on locations released soon.
