Jalan Tun Sambanthan

Formerly Jalan Brickelds, this road runs directly to the original centre of the city of Kuala Lumpur. It was renamed in the 1980s after the late Tun VT Sambanthan, one of the founding fathers of Malaysia and a leading member of the Indian community.

Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad

Names after the fourth Sultan of Selangor who reigned from 1857 to 1898.

Jalan Travers

Formely part of the Jalan Brickelds, this section was renamed by the Kuala Lumpur Sanitary Board in 1923 after Dr. Emest Aston Otho Travers, the State Surgeon of Selangor.

Jalan Rozario

Named after F.L Rozario who was a Chief Clerk to William Treacher, British Resident of Selangor from 1892 to 1896.

Jalan Scott

Mr. S Scott was one of the pioneer entrepreneurs in Brickelds, a Scottish gentleman who used to run the Selangor Ice & Aerated Water Company in the area.

Jalan Berhala

Formely known as Temple Street (now translated to "Worship Street") due to the many settlements of religious building along the street.

Jalan Vivekananda

Swami Vivekananda was a well known Indian philosopher. This street also runs a school and ashram of the same name.

Jalan Thambypillai

Named after Mr.Thambypillai who was an inuential landlord in Brickelds.

Jalan Chan Ah Tong

Named after another Chief Clerk who served under William Treacher, as an acknowledgment of his services to the government.

Jalan Ang Seng

Named after a contractor who built some of the major buildings in town, such as the Sultan Abdul Samad building, using bricks from Brickelds.
