Help is needed from those who participated prior to 1990, but all stories are welcome. THE VISITORS WILLAMETTE at a glance The Bearcats are riding a four-match win streak with wins over Whitworth and Whitman last week. They avoided an upset with a 21-19 win over the sixthplace Blues. Maddie Garcia leads the team with 38 goals to go with six assists. Lily Bachiochi has nearly as many assists (33) as she does goals (35).

Catie Kawamura has racked up 31 goals and 80 draw controls while Analise Wilson has caused 26 turnovers. Shelby Sawyer has played every minute in goal this season. She owns a 10-3 record with 119 saves and a 9.62 goals against average.

THE SERIES Linfield and Willamette have met five times since the Bearcats’ inaugural 2019 season. The Wildcats are 3-2 against their in-state rivals. The Wildcats won the first three matches before the Bearcats bounced back to win two straight. Willamette took the first meeting of the season, 18-8, on March 13 in Salem.

THE RECORDS Entering the week, Linfield stands just shy of a .500 Northwest Conference record at 7-5 overall and 3-4 in NWC play. Willamette sits in second place behind unbeaten George Fox with a 10-3 overall record and a 7-1 NWC mark.

The Wildcats got their revenge on Puget Sound with a 13-12 double-overtime win over the Loggers to extend their win streak to six matches. That streak was ended in a 19-6 loss to George Fox later in the week. Abby Ross scored the unassisted golden goal against the Loggers in the second overtime period. She has 27 goals, 10 assists, 65 draw controls and 19 caused turnovers on the season. Amelia Wright leads the team with 33 goals on 66 shots. Bethany Shade has 31 goals and a team-leading 17 assists, 36 ground balls, 87 draw controls and 38 caused turnovers. Lizzy Harms is 7-2 in goal with a 12.02 goals against average.

fans can now follow the ’Cats on the roku app The Linfield Sports Network brings fans live action of Linfield lacrosse each week. Fans can watch live play-by-play action of all home matches on their desktop computer, tablet or mobile device or smart TV. The Farnham Electric Pregame Show starts 10 minutes prior to each lacrosse match’s joe stuart scheduled start time. Broadcasts include a complete postgame wrap-up, with analysis and final statistics.

McMinnville native Joe Stuart begins his sixth season as the lead play-by-play announcer.

A 2020 Linfield graduate, Stuart is the athletic department’s broadcast coordinator, managing all aspects of Linfield’s webcasting outreach, logan clizer while assisting with sports communications and social media needs.

Stuart got his start in sports broadcasting with LSN, calling play-by-place for men’s and women’s soccer, basketball, baseball and softball contests. He also served as football sideline reporter for two seasons.

Current Linfield men’s soccer player Logan Clizer embarks on his first season of involvement with Linfield sports broadcasts, and will serve as play-by-play voice, alternating with Stuart.

For the first time, all Linfield Sports Network broadcasts are available on the Roku app, making it possible for fans to watch live and archived games on their home televisions.
