One year ago – in March of 2018 – we published the first issue of the Lindenhurst Kiwanian. An article in that issue shared the history of the Kiwanis Club of Lindenhurst and explained that until 1987 – in accordance with the Kiwanis International bylaws – membership was limited to men. Happily, On July 7, 1987, facing rebellious clubs and federal lawsuits, delegates to the International convention in Washington, DC voted to allow women into the ranks of membership.

Country Music Dance Party III By: Paula Magdalena-Vidal

The Kiwanis Club of Lindenhurst will host a Country Music Dance Party on Friday, April 12. The festivities start at 7 pm at Firemen’s Pavilion in Lindenhurst. Unwined - Long Island’s premier country music dance band - will provide the entertainment and

wonderful prizes straight from Nashville will be raffled off. There will be free popcorn and portraits and delicious dinners available for purchase. All money raised will support our Lindenhurst High School Scholarship Fund.

Did you know that since the Kiwanis Club of Lindenhurst was founded in 1950 we have awarded over $430,000 in scholarships to high school seniors in our community! Please help our kids to achieve their educational goals!
