CAST IRON
We are filing to the NYC Landmark Commission for a permit to replace the side door with a proper French Second Empire design.
Once we receive the permit we can get an estimate on costs. The Steel door itself is about $1500, The Decorative Cast iron with angels is in the Yuko Nii Foundation Collection.
The Yuko Nii Foundation has a pair of antique mid 19th Century cast iron French Second Empire fence doors that it wants to use for the side entrance. They were shipped from France a few years ago.
