The Yuko Nii Foundation owns the working blueprints of McKim, Meade and White (and Caparn) who oversaw work on the new 1929 East Flatbush Gate. Some of these blueprints are over eight feet in length and in some cases show exposure to sunlight. Some are in pristine condition. There are 26 blueprints in total. Some are pictured here.

In 1897 New York State reserved 39 acres for a botanic garden. In 1910 the Olmsted firm who designed Central Park created the original site plans. In 1912 Harold Caparn was appointed the landscape architect. He designed much of the garden over the next three decades and worked under McKim, Meade and White for the 1929 work on the Flatbush Avenue Gate.
