LINDALE ISD HIRES NEW CURRICULUM DIRECTOR
The Lindale Independent School District is pleased to announce that the current principal of E.J. Moss Intermediate, Candace Widemon, has been hired as one of the new curriculum directors of the Lindale ISD. Widemon is currently in her second year as the principal of E.J. Moss. She began her career at Lindale ISD in 2006, serving as a teacher, assistant principal and principal. “I am honored to have the opportunity to take on the leadership role as an Elementary Curriculum Director in Lindale ISD,” said Widemon. “I am grateful to our school board and administration for entrusting me with such a great responsibility. I look forward to working with administrators and campus level educators across the district to continue to cultivate and support our capacity for excellence in curriculum and instruction.” Widemon earned her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Texas at Tyler. She also holds a master’s degree in Education Administration from Lamar University. She will be taking over for current curriculum director, Jane Silvey. Silvey is retiring from Lindale ISD after serving in the district for 8 years. “Mrs. Widemon has been a very successful administrator in our district for many years,” said Stan Surratt, LISD Superintendent. “Widemon will serve as our Director of Elementary
