With a strong passion for responsible, natural materials, we design and produce in Denmark. With quality in focus, most of our designs are carefully crafted incorporating OEKO-TEX® certified recycled leather as a fundamental component. offer timeless design with Nordic aesthetics and function in mind. We want to challenge the perception of timeless design while demonstrating what new and exciting things are possible within interior design. Without compromising the possibility of pushing against conventional norms, we are using a few carefully selected materials. Unnecessary elements are trimmed during the design phase, as we believe wholeheartedly in the timelessness of simplicity and responsible materials.

RECYCLED LEATHER

Environmental consciousness is at the heart of the LIND DNA strategy. Our recycled leather is made from 80% recycled leather and 20% natural rubber.

CUSTOMIZATION

Our in-house design and graphic team combined with our extensive range of colours provide great flexibility in supporting special customization ideas from our customers.

FLEXIBILITY AND SPEED DELIVERY

Due to local production, delivery time is short for both customized and standard orders, which ensures the highest degree of flexibility.

TABLE MATS IN RECYCLED LEATHER

Our journey started back in 2013 with the introduction of our first and eventually most famous and widely used design; the curve-shaped table mat in recycled leather. Since then our collection has expanded over the years. Today our table mats are available in five leather textures and over 90 colours, all made from recycled leather. Choose from various types, such as glass, lunch, and dinner mats, which you can use as they are originally designed or customize according to your preferences in terms of colour, size, shape, and logo-embossing.

CORE LEATHER

The recycled leather, we use in our designs, originates from vegetable-tanned core leather sourced from surplus production in the furniture and fashion industry — such as leftover pieces of leather from the production of a sofa or shoe soles. The fact that the leather used is vegetable-tanned means, that only plant-based liquids have been used in the tanning process, which is a more sustainable method, that also enables the recycling of the leather.

GRANULATE

The vegetable-tanned core leather is granulated into tiny pieces, transforming it from a solid piece of leather into crumbs that feel soft and lightweight to the touch. This granulate is mixed with natural rubber from trees in a ratio of 80% core leather to 20% natural rubber, and then pressed to create recycled leather.

RECYCLED LEATHER

From core leather to granulate to recycled leather. This process has been carefully developed to create a unique material offering remarkable versatility, easy maintenance, and a lifetime of durability. Also, a material that, during the process, grants us the opportunity to explore boundless design possibilities in terms of colours and textures. Both water-based colours and textures are developed with a focus on creating an organic, natural expression and colour interplay, that stays true to the natural material.

Our collection draws inspiration from the refined simplicity of Nordic aesthetics. The designs are creative, yet classic, and fit into most decors, creating a stylish, timeless base. We design and produce at our headquater in Denmark. With our direct involvement in production, we have the flexibility to tailor our products to individual needs and preferences. This grants us the ability to create unique, personalized solutions that meet your specific desires and requirements. Leveraging our expertise in Danish design and production, we can craft bespoke products that not only meet but exceed your expectations.

THE CURVE

The curve is unique to LIND DNA. The first time this organic shape was introduced was in our curve-shaped table mats. The idea back then was to create an innovative, decorative, and functional design for the table mat with the perfect dimensions to accommodate a plate, glass, and cutlery. The shape boasts timeless design with a contemporary feel, and its organic form complements all types of tables, whether round or rectangular, and everything in between. Today, the curve shape is synonymous with LIND DNA and remains a highly popular choice, but our range also includes Square, Circle, and Oval shapes.

SQUARE-SHAPED

The square shape is a classic and popular choice offering the opportunity to adorn elegant tables by playing with lines and angles. The square-shaped table mats come in three sizes: 35x45 cm, 26.5x34.5 cm, 28x28 cm, and glass mat in the size 10x10 cm – and can always be customized to desired sizes.

CURVE-SHAPED

The curve shape is a highly popular choice allowing you to embrace the organic shape that complements a variety of table forms. The curve-shaped table mats come in three sizes: 37x44 cm, 31x35 cm, 24x28 cm, and glass mat in the size 11x13 cm – and can always be customized to desired sizes.

CIRCLE-SHAPED

The circle shape is sleek and elegant, creating a beautiful layered effect when paired with classic round plates. The circle-shaped table mats come in three sizes with diameters of: 40 cm, 30 cm, 24 cm and glass mat with a diameter of 10 cm – and can always be customized to desired sizes.

OVAL-SHAPED

The oval shape exudes grace and versatility, offering a unique twist to traditional table settings. The oval-shaped table mat come in two sizes: 35x46 cm and 26x33 cm – and can always be customized to desired sizes.

NUPO COLLECTION

Nupo is our best-selling recycled leather texture, named for its distinctive nubbed surface. The matte finish has a Nordic and minimalistic expression with a subtle suede-like feel. It features a two-toned colour play, where two similar colours are seamlessly combined, creating a captivating interplay of hues. The embossing in this texture is simple and discreet.

The latest recycled leather texture in our collection, Serene, is a modern take on a classic and highly authentic leather texture. It presents a look and feel reminiscent of the sophistication experienced from an exclusive bag.

The authentic appeal extends to the colour selection in this texture, making it a reliable choice due to its timeless expression and easy maintenance.

Being the softest recycled leather texture, it allows for easy rolling and convenient storage, even in a drawer, while the slightly polished surface makes it exceptionally easy to clean.

Bull, our very first recycled leather texture developed more than 10 years ago, remains timeless with its natural colour selection and enduring leather finish — a classic choice both then and now. Bull is one of our most robust textures, enhancing durability and simplifying maintenance, which is why this recycled leather texture is used on many of our furniture pieces. The surface is adorned with a distinct yet subtle pattern and exudes a classic leathery appearance.

CLEANING COLLECTION

We put a lot of work into producing recycled leather mats designed to maintain their beauty year after year. Therefore, we have developed our cleaning collection for this purpose. Two cleaning products for two different needs, both ensuring that our recycled leather mats receive the best care and stay beautiful.

CARE GUIDE

Like most natural materials, our recycled leather needs some care and maintenance to ensure its long-lasting appeal year after year. A few simple tips will help preserve the recycled leather natural beauty.

1. Clean the product with a damp cloth and LIND DNAs cleaning spray, Clean&Care. When a thorough in-depth cleaning is neccessary, then use LIND DNA’s Deep Cleaning Soap.

2. Do not put the products in the dishwasher and do not soak your products in water or soap.

3. Avoid staining from certain foods and liquids such as spices (e.g. paprika, saffron or curry), chili and red wine, as they may leave permanent stains, especially on lighter colours.

4. Avoid placing hot items such as pots and frying pans on the products.

5. Do not fold products in recycled leather.

6. We recommend that you always place your products on dry and plain surfaces. Be careful with oil-treated tables as excess oil might be absorbed by your recycled leather product.

7. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight for longer periods of time.

DEEP CLEANING SOAP

Deep Cleaning Soap is developed for an in-depth cleaning of mats in recycled leather. Apply the soap with a sponge, wait a minute, and wipe with a damp cloth to remove stains and maintain the leather surface.

CLEAN & CARE

Clean & Care is developed as an everyday cleaning spray for mats in recycled leather. Spray and wipe with a dry cloth for a quick cleaning that removes new stains and leaves the surface clean.
