The Park & Recreation Board reviews and recommends policies, fees, administrative and budgetary matters to the Village Board. The Park & Recreation Board meetings are held on the third Monday of each month in the Gerald C. Turry Village Board Room. Meetings begin promptly at 6:00 pm. The public is encouraged to attend.

L.I.S.A. Soccer

Spring soccer is back at a new temporary location! Led by professional coaching staff, the goal of the clinic is to help players of all levels improve their game in a fun and safe atmosphere that stresses respect and sportsmanship. The kids will be taught the fundamentals of soccer, as well as technical and tactical skills through drills. Players will be challenged physically and mentally and will remain active throughout the program. This class is outdoors; please dress for that day's weather and pack a water bottle! Shin guards are mandatory, cleats are optional but are recommended.

The Adaptive Skating Program is designed to guide skaters with physical disabilities to develop skating skills. The program encourages skaters to begin and continue to develop skating skills progressively with the intention of maintaining recreational participation and competitive development. Skaters completing the Adaptive Skating curriculum may complete skills assisted or unassisted. The term "assisted” refers to the skater performing skills with the aid of another person. Magic Class with The Great Boodini

New Class! Amaze your family and friends with incredible magic tricks! Easy to accomplish magical effects will be taught with a patient teaching style while having lots of fun! Each student will receive their own magic kit which will include all of the props needed. Students still learn a variety of magic that will even introduce them to ‘sleight of hand’ skills. This is sure to be an incredibly fun class that goes beyond the standard magic class!

Come join Glitzy Girls staff and break away from the Winter Blues! Participants can dress in pretty winter whites for this event! Staff will be giving a White Glam make-over (hair clip-ins with tinsel, glitter white makeup and Glitter White Nails with snowflake nail art). Each participant will decorate a Snowflake White Photo Frame and will also design a beautiful, beaded bracelet with Winter Charm selection. The class will end with a group fashion show, complete with a winter-scene backdrop to take the photo that will go into the frame that you designed! A snowy surprise goodie bag will go home with each participant. This is a drop-off class; parents do not stay for this class.

Each participant will decorate an overnight drawstring backpack complete with a peace/love charm selection. The night will end with neon disco lights in the dark while we play Freeze Dance and Limbo! Take a photo by the neon peace backdrop with props for a memory with friends. Each participant will leave with a special goodie bag!

Let’s get out of the house and do a little antiquing! Antiques of Winfield has timeless treasures, cool collectables, unique antiques and vintage finds. Antiques of Winfield is HUGE! 3 floors, covering 6000 square feet, lots of space to roam around and find some interesting antiques. The senior group will meet at the Lincolnwood Community Center at 10am and will board the bus. We’ll arrive at Antiques of Winfield at 11am and we’ll spend a couple hours shopping around. We’ll board the bus around 1pm and we’ll head towards home, stopping for lunch at Portillo’s where you can make a selection from their lunch menu, along with one soft drink. After lunch, we’ll head back to Lincolnwood. Registration fee covers the bus and lunch. There is no admission cost into the antique shop. Estimated time of arrival back in Lincolnwood will be 3 pm.

The Halim Time and Glass Museum is home to a private collection of hundreds of historical timepieces and clocks and nearly 100 stained glass windows. Let’s head into the city for an afternoon at the Art Institute Chicago. The senior group will meet at the Lincolnwood Community Center at 10:45am. The bus will head out at 11am. The group will spend a few hours in the Art Institute and will board the bus at 3pm to head back to Lincolnwood. Feel free to pack a light snack or lunch to enjoy on the bus. The Art Institute does have Cafe and giftshop, feel free to visit both! You may bring in your own water bottle, but it needs to be empty and once inside the museum, you can fill it up.

Spring is finally here again, so let’s celebrate this season of renewal, growth and sunshine! We’ll start off with painting and decorating our planters. While those dry, we’ll have lunch, catered in from L Woods and catch up with each other. After lunch, we’ll get to planting. Each person will get to plant two plants: one flower and one herb. You will be able to take your plant home that day or you can leave it overnight and pickup the following week. Each person will leave with a special springtime memento.

Exciting improvements are coming to the south end of Henry A. Proesel Park! Construction is set to begin in 2026 as part of a significant renovation project funded by an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR).
Planned enhancements include:
A universally accessible playground
Upgraded tennis and sand volleyball courts
Two dedicated pickleball courts
A renovated inline skate court
Improved basketball courts
Enhanced pedestrian pathways

Place your completed registration form in a sealed envelope in the 24-hour brown drop box located in the front of the Municipal Complex in the circular drive. Checks and credit cards only. Make checks payable to the Village of Lincolnwood.
Registration forms are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. To register for a class you must complete a registration form including participant name and program name. One family per registration form. All classes have minimums and maximums. Sign up a minimum of two weeks prior to the start of the class to avoid class cancellations.
The Lincolnwood Parks & Recreation Department is committed to providing high quality recreation programs and services. We want everyone to be satisfied with their recreation experiences. If you are not completely satisfied with our programs or services, please contact us as soon as possible.
General refunds will be granted when requested five full working days before the start of a program. All refunds are subject to a 10% administrative fee and will be mailed in the form of a check within 4-6 weeks of your request.
We understand that there may be a time when the program you registered for didn’t match your needs. If that is the case, we encourage you to share your feedback, ideas and suggestions for improvement as soon as possible. If we are unable to work through it together, we will refund you for all the classes not attended less a 10% administrative fee.
Should you need to discontinue the program due to an illness, emergency, or relocation, we ask that you submit proof of relocation or a written medical explanation from a physician. Upon receipt, we will refund for all the classes not attended less a 10% administrative fee.
In the event a program does not meet minimum registration, the class may be canceled with full refunds issued.
Due the large amount of information included in each season brochure, errors may occur. There may be last minute changes in days and times of classes, registration requirements, and fees once the brochure has gone to print. You will be advised in a timely manner of any changes. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
Photographs and videos are periodically taken of participants while they are engaging in programs, special events, or enjoying the parks. Please be aware that these photos and videos may appear in local newspapers, Village publications, cable access program or on the Village website.
Since 1972, M-NASR has provided and facilitated recreation programs and services for children, teens and adults with disabilities.
We are an extension of the park districts in Des Plaines, Golf-Maine, Morton Grove, Niles, Park Ridge, Skokie, and Lincolnwood’s Parks and Recreation Department.
M-NASR offers a wide range of recreation programming, both in person and virtual. Programs include athletics, adaptive sports, camps, cultural arts, social opportunities, special events and much more. M-NASR’s full time recreation staff have therapeutic recreation backgrounds and all programs are designed with the cognitive, psychological, social and physical needs of participants in mind.
M-NASR programs are offered throughout our member districts. M-NASR participants may register for all programs regardless of location and transportation is available to select programs.
