Beginning January 1, 2026, the Village will charge a 3% fee on all debit/credit card transactions; other forms of payments (cash, check) will not incur a fee.
PRORATING
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS
We do not prorate daily camp fees. You will be charged for the entire session regardless of how many days you attend.
In order to qualify for the resident rate (R), the participant must reside within the corporate boundaries of Lincolnwood on a year-round (12 month) basis. Proof of residency may be required at time of registration. Anyone not meeting these requirements will be responsible for paying the non-resident (NR) rate.
EARLY REGISTRATION FEE We encourage families to register for camp by March 16, 2026 at 5:00 pm to receive the early bird discount.

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE LINCOLNWOOD SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAM? Whether you are new to our programs or you’ve been a part of our camps for years, everyone has questions. Whatever the case may be, we would be delighted to have you attend the Parent Orientation on Wednesday, June 3 via Microsoft TEAMS from 6:30-7:30 pm. We will review the Parent Handbook, highlighting pertinent information specific to each camp. A question and answer period will wrap up the evening allowing everyone to leave feeling fully prepared for the first day of camp!

______________________________________________________________________________ Due to construction at the south end of Proesel Park, Tree Tikes will have a new temporary home for Summer 2026 at the School District 74 campus! Camp will be held in the tent located between Todd Hall and the Administrative Building, with drop-off and pick-up taking place in the Todd Hall parking lot. More details about drop-off and pick-up procedures will be shared in the Parent Manual and reviewed during the Virtual Parent Meeting. All of the fun, engaging Tree Tikes activities and swimming will remain the same this season, though campers will not participate in Camp Swim Lessons for Summer 2026. Tree Tikes is a joyful and nurturing camp experience designed especially for our youngest adventurers. Each day is filled with hands-on activities that inspire creativity, spark curiosity, and encourage social connection. Campers explore art, music, movement, nature, and water play—discovering new interests and friendships along the way. This camp is the perfect first step into the world of summer fun, helping children grow in confidence, independence, and imagination. Tree Tikes campers swim on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Proesel Park Aquatic Center. Campers will be bussed to and from the pool and will enjoy water time in the kiddie pool area designed for their age group. Campers should come prepared to swim on these days. To attend this camp, campers must be fully potty trained and should have an extra change of clothes on hand in case of accidents. They must also be three years old by September 1, 2026. ______________________________________________________________________________ This summer, Little Lincolns will temporarily move to the two large tents next to the Aquatic Center due to construction at the south end of Proesel Park. All activities, field trips, and programs will continue as usual. Each morning, campers will bus to Flowers Park for playground time, games, and plenty of open space to explore. In the afternoon, they’ll return to Proesel Park for more activities and swimming. Drop-Off & Pick-Up: Park along Kostner Avenue and walk to the tents for sign-in and sign-out. Reserved parking will be posted from 2:50–3:15 p.m. Please avoid using the Aquatic Center parking lot. Session 2 [Lincolnwood Fest Week (July 20-24)]: Pricing is slightly higher to support extra field trips during Lincolnwood Fest. During Week 6, campers will take a field trip every day, and drop-off/pick-up will move to the Lincolnwood Community Center. Little Lincolns offers outdoor games, crafts, teamwork activities, and swimming Monday–Thursday (12:30–2:30 p.m.). Fridays are field trip days. Campers must be six by September 1, 2026. Half Day Camp will be Monday-Thursday, and Friday they will be joining Little Lincolns and Proesel Pals on the field trip! Get ready for a week packed with fun, friendship, and adventure! Our Half Day Afternoon Camp runs Monday through Thursday, and on Fridays, campers will team up with Little Lincolns and Proesel Pals for an exciting field trip experience. Looking for something fun after summer school, or simply a half-day program full of creativity and energy? Half Day Afternoon Camp is the perfect fit! Open to District 74 students ages 6–12 (and to anyone looking for a half-day option), this camp runs from 12:00–3:00 PM and offers an engaging mix of sports, arts and crafts, team challenges, and outdoor adventures. Whether your child loves to stay active, get creative, or just make new friends, every afternoon brings new opportunities for fun and discovery in a safe, supervised environment. Campers will enjoy lunch from 12:00–12:30 PM. Lunch must be brought from home. If your camper prefers to eat at home, they may arrive at 12:30 PM instead. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, campers will swim at the Proesel Park Aquatic Center from 12:30–3:00 PM. Campers will be bused from Lincoln Hall School to the pool, and pick-up will take place at the Aquatic Center on those days. On Fridays, Half Day Campers will join Little Lincolns and Proesel Pals for a full-day field trip! Drop-off is at Proesel Park at 9:00 AM, and pick-up will be at 3:00 PM at the same location. Camp Lunch Campers have the option to enjoy a daily lunch Monday through Thursday through Munchies, the Aquatic Center concession stand. Lunch includes a main entree, and two sides. There are no substitutions, and participants must register for all four days – individual days are not available. Families interested in enrolling must email Kandice Newton, at knewton@lwd.org to receive the registration form. The completed form must be returned before your camper can participate. Exciting improvements are coming to the south end of Henry A. Proesel Park! Construction is set to begin in 2026 as part of a significant renovation project funded by an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR).

Tumbling and Cheer (Ages 5-12)† Under the direction of Chicago Loves Dance, participants will be sure to have a blast at this summer camp. The kids will learn cheer and poms choreography and work on flexibility and tumbling moves! Participants will learn a variety of cheers each day and will spend time on the tumbling mats while working on their tumbling skills. Have your child dress in comfortable clothing. Hip Hop and Gymnastics (Ages 5-12)† Introduce your child to some dance moves and some time on the tumbling mat! This summer camp, led by Chicago Loves Dance, will give your child time to learn new hip hop moves and then time on the mats, working on their tumbling and gymnastics moves. L.I.S.A Soccer Camp (Ages 5-13)† Let’s get your child ‘soccer-fit’ this summer. This soccer camp is designed for players of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Each participant will be evaluated on their skills and age to form groups within the camp. Coaches will ensure players get the most from their camp experience. Kids will be challenged, entertained and kept active throughout the day. Soccer campers are required to wear soccer shoes and shin guards. Please pack water bottles, a lunch, and a snack for your child. Please dress your child appropriately and apply sunblock at the start of each day. General Information STAFF SUPERVISION
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Each camp is supervised daily by a qualified adult supervisor. Counselors are carefully selected for their demonstration of maturity and enthusiasm as well as experience working with children. All camp staff members complete an extensive training including first aid and CPR certification prior to the start of camp. Please see staff-to-camper ratios highlighted for each general recreation camp throughout this publication.
All campers must complete a Camper Data Form at the time of registration. No camper will be allowed to stay at camp if he/she does not have a completed Camper Data Form on file. Information collected on this form includes emergency contacts, medical information, allergy information, permission to attend field trips, and authorized pick-up persons. It is your responsibility as a parent/guardian to notify the Parks and Recreation Department of any conditions that may require special attention while your child is at camp. Please do not send your child to camp if they are sick. Children should be fever-free for 24 hours before returning to camp after an illness.
BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT All campers are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times. Guidelines have been developed to help make our programs safe and enjoyable for all. The Camper Code of Conduct in the Parent Handbook should be reviewed with your child prior to the first day of camp. WEATHER Camp is held rain or shine, with participants moved to indoor space when necessary. We will communicate camp drop-off and pick-up location changes as this information becomes available. If there is inclement weather during swim time, recreational swim will not be made up that day. LUNCH Campers have the option to enjoy a daily lunch Monday through Thursday through Munchies, the Aquatic Center concession stand. Lunch includes a main entree, and two sides. There are no substitutions, and participants must register for all four days – individual days are not available. Families interested in enrolling must email Kandice Newton, at knewton@lwd.org to receive the registration form. The completed form must be returned before your camper can participate. Registration for camp lunch closes the Friday before each week at 12:00pm. Registration will not be taken after that time. Price: $48/week
WAIVER/RELEASE OF LIABILITY In accordance with our registration policy, a signed waiver must be on file for participation in any of our programs. This agreement can be found on the reverse side of our registration form as well as online at www.lincolnwoodil.org. INSURANCE The Parks and Recreation Department does not carry medical insurance and assumes no liability for personal injury or loss of personal property while attending any of our programs. BROCHURE ERRORS Due to the large amount of information included in the brochure, errors may occur. There may be changes in days and times of programs, registration requirements, and fees once the brochure has gone to print. You will be advised in a timely manner of any changes. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

CAMP SCHEDULE
The Parent Handbook will be available online at www.recreation.lwd.org and in person. Please read through this booklet prior to the start of camp for everything you need to know about camp including information on lunches, field trips, sunscreen, swimming, camp clothing, hours and drop-off/pick-up procedures. Camp calendars will be emailed to families. Each calendar will list highlighted activities, theme days, field trips and special food days. Although we do our best to adhere to the calendars, activities are subject to change. We will communicate all changes with you well in advance to avoid confusion. In an effort to remain “green”, all newsletters and calendars will be emailed. Please make sure to provide a current email address at time of registration.
Due to the School District 74 snow schedule, camp start dates are subject to change. Please call the Parks and Recreation office for more information.
PAYMENT PLANS For your convenience, we offer a payment plan. We collect a $100 non-refundable deposit per child (also due at registration), which is applied toward the total camp cost for your child. Camp payments must be paid in full by June 5, 2026. Please visit the Parks and Recreation Department to complete all necessary paperwork. SCHOLARSHIP/FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM This program is designed to provide financial assistance/scholarship to residents of Lincolnwood in order to support participation in recreational programs. The deadline to request financial assistance for summer 2026 programs is June 1, 2026. Please contact the Parks and Recreation Department for more information.
M-NASR CAMP INFORMATION The Village of Lincolnwood welcomes the participation of all individuals in our programs. We are fully committed to providing reasonable accommodations to facilitate participation in our programs. The Village works with the Maine-Niles Association of Special Recreation (M-NASR) to provide inclusion support on a case-by-case scenario for participants who register and meet the behavior guidelines. SUMMER CAMP REFUND POLICY The Camp Refund policy is stated below: • 25% cancellation charge per child, per camp session up to a maximum of $100 if the cancellation occurs two or more weeks prior to the start of the camp session. • 50% cancellation charge per child, per camp session up to a maximum of $200 if the cancellation occurs less than two weeks prior to the start of the camp session. • No refund will be issued if the cancellation occurs on the first day of camp or after. *Registration forms available in the Parks & Recreation office and at www.lincolnwoodil.org.
