JOURNALISM In journalism, I've learned a lot. I can find good info, know what's legit, and follow the rules. When I write, I make it clear and interesting, whether it's for a paper or online. I get that journalism isn't just words; it affects what people think. So, I'm kinda good at telling stories and sharing info and making it tuned to where its being posted. Other then this just taking place at UNL collage of journalism, we also got a tour of the building and the inside. We as a group at Bay High were told about the opportunities that the collage offers and theres a lot that spikes my interest there its a great program. This is a photo I took on a Journalism field trip to UNL collage of journalism.
Press Release for Socktober
In this assignment I used the help of AI and my own creativity to create a press release for socktober an event that takes place in october, this assignment is cool to me because it shows how you can collaborate you ideas with AI to create good articles. It can help with writers block and I think will be revolutionary to the world of reading, and writing. The press release written will be below this line. “Get Ready to Celebrate Socktober: A Month of Warmth and Giving! Lincoln, Nebraska - October 3, 2023 - Socktober is here and it's time to put on your warmest socks and spread some love! WEB DESIGN In my web design journey, I've picked up some cool tricks. I know how to make a site look good, understand what works and what doesn't. Ive learned basic HTML and CSS code for making websites and I enjoy changing things that contribute to the design.
This is the earlier website I made.
My proudest assignment I’ve worked on is the most recent website on code.org. It’s similar to the website above but I’ve learned more code and styling like classes and more advanced coding. It’s my favortite thing I’ve made in web design because it has pictures that look like my cat. Learning to code has its ups and downs but with being able to have some freedom and see what goes on behind websites, it’s pretty cool to learn about.

PERSONAL BRANDING With my personal branding I've started to brand myself. I've acquired my values and have thought about what defines me as a person in a business sense. I'm mainly into art, design, clothing and fashion. With these many interests of mine I've started a project called Sqwurll. It's a pillar project connecting all the classes into one big project and including all my skills. I've created a brand that does fashion and art from the ground up, from all the designing, graphics work and printing. Im learning every single day something new all the time and with that its all about personal branding and how I identify my branding. This is the branding board assignment, and it gave me a basis to what my brand is, and what peices put it together. It gave me an idea of my overall aesthetic and listed out my values.

PILLAR PROJECT is my pillar project that connects all of The Bays classes together, it includes my personal branding, journalism, content creation, and even web design all in one. I decided to chose Sqwurll as my project because I was working on it outside of school first then saw the opportunity of the assignments and extra tools that will help guide me through it, and I’ve made huge progress since. I design and do just about everything my self, Im very driven to create something that can generate income, and give me that satisfaction when it comes to creating and expressing my self through art. Being able to launch a small business that includes all my hobbies and interest is a dream come true and I continue to work on it almost every day,
I primarily focus on fashion, art, and design work. I plan to get into the fashion industry more but currently have a small amazing selection of shirts. In the future this will be big and more then just a school project. 5
Currently with doing all my own design and graphic work, I also do all my own printing work. I personaly hand screen print all of my shirts. Every shirt takes time and effort and has thought put into it. Above is the pictures of my T shirt mock-ups. I can’t wait to officially drop my clothing and I will do so with the consumer in mind, its not just about selling but the message I get across, the art and fashion communities are great and I’de love to make a impact. Other then just clothes I will also be making hand crafted things like fingerboard ramps ( tiny skateboard ramps for tiny skateboards for your fingers ) out of wood. Selling prints or art peices is also a goal of mine to workout. Sqwurll will always be expanding and always growing so stay up to date with the process. MY INSPO’
