Architecture is about the understanding of the spatial needs to me However, having the ability to provide more values than initially intended always keeps me inspired As a freshman, I am competent in 3D illustrating and drafting skills. Besides, I am highly interested to pursue the path in Architecture sustainability. Ultimately, my goal is to bring positive impact to the community and take part in improving today’s architecture

Design within the context of dynamic building performance calculation of a small dwelling in London with principles related to the climatic conditions through simulation in Design Builder software . The aim is to optimise the building energy consumption particularly in heating/cooling demand whilst improve the spatial quality for the buillding users including testing it against CIBSE TM59 overheating risk assesment.

Base Case

With the rise of overheating risks in dwellings and the need for sustainable infrastructure as a result of increasing population in urban area, understand the constraints unique to the site and analyse the microclimate & environmental factors in designing a high-density residential scheme in Royal Albert Island, London. Whilst using simulation software and building physics calculation to aid in making design decisions, the proposal includes the explorations in sustainable timber as main construction material and meet the Passivhaus requirement (German standard) in effort to minimise environmental impact by demonstrating the use of sustainable methodologies & Passivhaus Planning Package (PHPP).

A retrofitting project located in Silver Building, Silvertown London. Explore the potential of sustainability, materiality and technology within the challenges in improving an existing structure. The aim of the proposal lies between reducing embodied carbon whilst creating sptially rich architecural solution considering the rising demand of reusing construction materials in bult environment. The project demonstrates that retrofitting not only create efficient building but joyful spaces, and respond sensitively to place, community and existing ecologies. The fundamentals of passive design principles are the project main drive and at the same time strike the balance of relationship between architecture, energy and wellbeing.
Artist residence is the proposed programme which the intention derived from the current building users’ artistic background. Considering the brutalist history of Silver Building, the design concept revolves around bringing the building’s character into the space quality to form an inspiring backdrop for the artist society and Silvertown community.
