Qatar is now our 10th country, and this milestone is extra special because we exported our products from Europe & LIKO-S India.
Expanding into multiple countries with a small but dedicated team in India was never easy, but here we are—making it happen! This global exposure isn‘t just great for the company; it gives our team the chance to collaborate with clients and partners from the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, experiencing different markets firsthand.
Let’s talk about our recent project in Qatar.
Just a few days before the Christmas holidays, we secured a massive 30-floor project covering 1,800 m² of partitions. Sounds great, right? But the catch was an almost impossible delivery timeline. The clients wanted it ASAP, and the holidays were right around the corner.
And guess what? We pulled it off!
Thanks to the incredible support from our European team, we managed to airlift the materials within four days of the order— even during the holiday season.
The first shipment reached the client in just two weeks, and the rest followed in four weeks, perfectly aligned with their site phases. This wasn’t just any project—it was our first big success with the new 55 dB+ system through our Indian entity, and we delivered beyond expectations.
But getting here wasn’t easy. Establishing a strong dealer partnership in Qatar took months of effort. We evaluated multiple potential partners, pitched for several projects, and finally landed this order with Electra Qatar.
This led to something even bigger—we signed an exclusive dealership agreement for the territory. The game-changer? LIKO-S dB+ partitions, which set us apart from the competition and won the client’s confidence.
I firmly believe that companies that fail to adapt, innovate, or evolve won’t survive—especially in our industry. And this is where LIKO-S stands way ahead of even some of the biggest global brands.
Meanwhile, back home in India…
While we were busy conquering new markets, the challenges in India didn’t slow down either! Over the last four months, we’ve tackled some of the most demanding and complex projects, including:
• 3.3 m high partitions with large volumes delivered in just 8 days
• Single glass partitions with fluted glass and horizontal profiles
• Scratch-resistant anodizing for durability
• 4.5 m doors with over panels
• Extensive curved partitions in almost 60% of all our projects
• Glass design doors
• Arched partitions
We didn’t just accept these challenges—we embraced them, customized solutions, and delivered on time.
Whether it was Hyderabad, Gujarat, Delhi, or Chennai, our dealers and project teams went all out to make sure everything was executed smoothly.
Looking ahead, we are growing stronger in the Middle East with our solid base in Qatar and Oman.
Next stop? Dubai? Saudi Arabia? Bharain?
The future looks exciting, and this is just the beginning!
Here’s to bigger wins, stronger partnerships, and setting new benchmarks in our industry.

Strengthening Indo-Czech ties in Slavkov
We had the honor of welcoming His Excellency Ambassador of India, Raveesh Kumar, accompanied by Defense Attaché Colonel Vijayant Sing, to our headquarters in Slavkov.
We were proud to showcase our journey in India—the exponential growth of LIKO-S India, the power of the “Designed in Europe, Made in India“ model, and the dedication of our amazing team represented by our country manager DINESH S online on the SMART-i-WALL.
His Excellency Ambassador Raveesh Kumar explored our Interiors and Industry divisions, witnessing firsthand what we’ve accomplished in both India and the Czech Republic. While time constraints meant he couldn’t visit our green façade nursery, he already promised to return in spring to see our living walls in full bloom. As we discussed the future of Indo-Czech business relations, one key takeaway stood out:
“You have to be patient if you start a business in India.“ We couldn’t agree more, and we’re proud of how far we’ve come. But we still have a plan for a more substantial presence of Czech companies in India. The Czech Industrial Cluster case study in Bangalore reinforces a key idea—“When you establish yourself in India, you gain the entire Middle East.“
We are looking forward to deepening business ties between India and the Czech Republic Embassy of India.
You have to be patient if you start a business in India.
A Design Gem Full of Greenery
The new offices of JSK Investments show how a modern workspace can honor the character of a historic building.
Functional design with natural materials.
We were proud to contribute to this inspiring project by installing glass partitions that combine spatial openness with acoustic comfort.
The offices feature our Omega 100.1 system with horizontal divisions and Micra I Industry, giving the interiors a sleek and contemporary look.
To meet fire safety requirements without sacrificing aesthetics, we also integrated Fira fire-rated partitions.
A warm-toned aluminum frame finish brings a refined touch to the entire space. To enhance the atmosphere further, we added lush greenery throughout, including PlantBox living walls with an automatic irrigation system.
“During our year in a shared office, it became clear how important space really is.
Even when there’s a lot of work, an open and airy environment helps you feel less overwhelmed and reduces stress.
Here, we now have plenty of room—even as we grow, we won’t be getting under each other‘s feet.
From the very beginning, I knew I wanted bright, spacious offices. I love open views— they help me think clearly about our future and make business planning easier.
I wanted that for the whole team, and I believe that’s exactly what we’ve created here.”

I love how many plants we have everywhere.
Looking at greenery is calming and energizing at the same time. It’s also uplifting to watch them grow.
And with all those leaves breaking up sound naturally, the office feels quieter and more focused.
Plus—they’re just beautiful, adds Kijonková.

Measuring the benefits of vertical gardens in urban environments
Cities around the world are facing growing challenges related to air quality, temperature extremes, and rapid urbanization.
In response, innovative solutions like vertical gardens are gaining attention—not only for their aesthetic appeal, but also for their environmental and health benefits.
A recent study published in Science of the Total Environment offers valuable insights into how these green systems can be measured and evaluated in real urban settings.
Measuring the impact of vertical gardens
Vertical gardens are increasingly evaluated for their contributions to air quality, temperature regulation, and biodiversity. A case study in a densely populated urban area provided detailed data across three major categories:
1. Air quality improvement
The study measured the ability of vertical gardens to capture airborne particulate matter (PM) and absorb gases such as NO2 and CO2. The methodology included:
• Air sampling before and after the wall installation, using devices to measure concentrations of particulates and gases.
• Leaf surface analysis, to determine the number of particles trapped on plant surfaces during various seasons.
2. Temperature regulation
Green walls can reduce thermal stress on buildings through shading and evaporative cooling. The measurements included:
• Thermal imaging of building façades, comparing temperature differences with and without green wall coverage.
• Monitoring ambient humidity and temperature, using sensors placed in the garden vicinity.
3. Biodiversity and aesthetics
Beyond environmental performance, vertical gardens also support urban biodiversity and enhance public spaces. The evaluation focused on:
• Fauna observation, tracking the presence of pollinators and other beneficial insects.
• Public perception surveys, assessing how local residents view the vertical garden in their neighborhood.
Vertical gardens showed a reduction of PM10 concentrations by up to 20% in their immediate surroundings, and NO2 levels decreased by more than 15%, contributing to better urban microclimates.
Façade surface temperatures dropped by up to 5°C during summer months, and humidity levels were noticeably higher around the garden area, improving thermal comfort.
There was a 30% increase in pollinator activity near the garden, and over 80% of residents rated the installation as pleasant and quality-enhancing for the urban environment.
Greener, healthier cities with vertical gardens
The findings make it clear: vertical gardens are not just decorative features—they are powerful tools for healthier, more resilient cities.
By integrating these systems into urban design, cities can lower environmental stress, improve citizen wellbeing, and enhance the aesthetic value of built environments.
Recommendations include:
• Urban planning integration: strategically placing vertical gardens in areas with high pollution levels.
• Ongoing research: funding long-term studies to further assess environmental and social benefits.
• Community engagement: educating and involving local residents to foster broader acceptance and care for green infrastructure. reduction in PM10 reduction in NO2 20% 15%

A New Record in Vertical Greenery
Green façades are transforming the way we design urban and industrial spaces. When we completed the 690 m² green façade at a major commercial center, it became the largest of its kind in Central Europe. However, this title lasted only a month—until we completed an even larger green façade at ROBE’s industrial facility.
Maximum cooling effect
BIOTILE cools both the building and its surroundings
ROBE’s industrial complex now features green façades on two buildings—its administrative offices and central warehouse.
Spanning an impressive 740 m², the façade integrates over 45,000 plants, carefully arranged in 2,800 Biotile® modules.
Each plant contributes to the environment—cooling the building, improving air quality, and reducing noise pollution.
Beginning the installation Before
Green walls in numbers:
• 740 m² of green space
• More than 45,000 plants
• 2,800 individual BIOTILE® modules
• 11 plant species
• Reduction in dust and noise pollution
Explore our vertical greenery systems:
Biotile®: Hydroponic System for Vertical Greenery
The Biotile® modular system used in ROBE’s green façade is the same proven solution installed at previous commercial and industrial sites.
The project required detailed planning and careful pre-cultivation of the plants in a specialized greenhouse.
The plant selection was meticulously adjusted based on building orientation and environmental conditions.
After
A Green Façade that Comes to Life with Lighting
As a global leader in lighting technology, ROBE lighting, s.r.o. ensured that the green façade also integrates a dynamic lighting system.
This not only enhances its ecological benefits, but also turns it into a striking architectural feature—a visual highlight that stands out even at night.
Proven Benefits from Experience
The advantages of green façades are not just theoretical. In 2019, we built the world‘s first living hall—LIKO-Vo.
After more than five years of operation, we have clear evidence of the benefits that greenery provides—not only to the building itself but also to the surrounding environment.
The plants on the façade help stabilize temperatures, enhance biodiversity, and reduce dust levels in industrial settings.
Why Implement Green Walls in Industrial Areas?
Industrial zones are often dominated by concrete and steel, which absorb and amplify heat, especially in summer.
Green façades act as natural climate control systems—they cool down buildings and their surroundings, trap dust particles, and significantly lower noise pollution.
The green façade at ROBE’s facility not only provides a cooling effect, but also helps retain water, regulate humidity, and promote biodiversity.
Inside Würth’s New Hungarian HQ
In the heart of Törökbálint, Hungary, the new Würth headquarters stands as a testament to innovative design and functionality.
Testament to functionality
Commited to efficiency and inspiration
This facility, encompassing an 1,800 m² office space and a 4,800 m² logistics center, was brought to life through the collaborative efforts of Demeter Design Stúdió and Reload Építészstúdió.
At LIKO-S, we are proud to have contributed to this landmark project by supplying our premium frameless glass partitions.
These installations not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the interiors, but also provide optimal acoustic comfort, aligning with Würth‘s commitment to creating an inspiring and efficient work environment.
The design emphasizes transparency and openness, fostering collaboration among the nearly 100 employees who now call this space their workplace.
The integration of our glass partitions complements the building‘s modern architecture, allowing natural light to permeate the interiors and creating a seamless connection between different functional areas.
This project exemplifies the synergy between cutting-edge design and practical solutions, setting a new standard for office spaces in the region.
Growing Company, Growing Workspace
As a company expands, its workspace evolves with it. We have now helped PKV create their third office environment—this time spanning four floors of a modern building in the Vlněna complex. The new offices, which employees themselves call the “Energy Lab of the Future,” offer a unique blend of design, functionality, and a healthy work environment.
Back for the third time
It started in 2016
We first supplied PKV with glass partitions back in 2016 when the company was based in AZ Tower, the tallest building in the Czech Republic. Our solutions also played a role in shaping their first workspace in the Vlněna complex in 2020, which you can explore here.
As the company grew, so did its needs—and we were proud to be part of that journey.
This time, we delivered glass partitions for their new office in the “I” building, located just a few meters from their previous space, still within the Vlněna complex.
In selected meeting rooms, we installed MICRA dB+ acoustic partitions with sound insulation of up to 55 dB...
As time went on...
• Different size, different location, but always the same purpose – to create a space where people feel good and have everything they need to do their work.

Office of the Year Award
2024 - Vlněna Office Park, Brno
3000 m2
An exceptional space with a view
• The 3,000 m² office space was primarily divided using MICRA I frameless glass partitions.
• Some of these feature curved designs, adding natural flow and harmony to the interior.
• This system was also used in PKV’s previous offices, where it proved highly effective, leading the company to choose it once again.
• MICRA I partitions are characterized by simplicity and minimalism—qualities that perfectly align with the overall design concept.
• In selected meeting rooms, we installed MICRA dB+ acoustic partitions with sound insulation of up to 55 dB.
• These are complemented by high-soundproof glass doors, ensuring a quiet environment for discussions and meetings.
Working with PKV over the years has been a great experience — from their first offices to their new, thoughtfully designed space.
The biggest reward for me is when a client comes back, because it shows we’re a partner they can rely on.
Each project brings something new and keeps us moving forward together.
I’m glad we could once again be part of their journey...
Pavel Pavlík
Sales Manager, LIKO-S
A Project Full of Challenges and Innovations
One of the project’s unique technical requirements was integrating a smart lock system for full-glass doors. “We needed to ensure controlled access to selected office spaces, which required specific smart lock solutions.
Our goal was to keep the ACS system as discreet as possible without disrupting the minimalist design. In the end, we found a solution where the entire locking mechanism is integrated directly into the handle,“ explains Pavel Pavlík, LIKO-S sales manager.
Another standout feature is the nearly 2.8-meter-high GLASS DESIGN sliding doors, which retract into concealed pockets.
These doors elegantly and flexibly separate different office zones. Most of the time, they remain open, preserving the visual continuity of the space and maintaining a clean, uncluttered aesthetic.
Some days feel like a reward
Some workdays feel like a treat. This was one of them. I had the chance to travel to Salzburg with our Austrian country manager, Martina Konecká—and it turned out to be one of those rare days that leave you both inspired and recharged.
Notes from a trip to Salzburg Some
We visited two completed projects, both of which were very different, yet equally impressive. We also participated in the GRÜNSTATTGRAU Netzwerkpartnertag—a day filled with fresh ideas and innovative perspectives on green architecture.
We had the opportunity to present our Aupark project there, and it gained some well-deserved attention.
But just as valuable was seeing how Austria is pushing the boundaries in green building—and how much support cities give to blue-green infrastructure.
Our first project stop
A law firm spread over two floors, each with its own distinct atmosphere. But it wasn’t about bold colors — the magic was in the details.
The investor, whom we had the chance to meet, had a clear vision to tune every element to fit the historic setting. The glass partitions were installed in a heritage building, so the frames were given a special surface finish to blend in subtly with the interior.
Even the door hardware—classic-style handles and locks— followed this historical theme. It was fascinating to see how thoughtful choices, such as a soft gold-toned anodized frame or a traditionally styled latch, can completely transform the mood of a space.
Suddenly, a modern partition doesn’t feel out of place—it feels like it belongs. Usually, we supply partitions in black or silver anodized aluminum, so this softer, more nuanced approach to design was a refreshing change.
Green building isn’t just a trend.
It’s a space full of opportunity.
With our partitions, we’ve already carved out our place on the market.
But when it comes to green façades, we’re just getting started.
And I can’t wait to see where this path takes us.
Country Manager, LIKO-S Austria Martina Konecká
Alt-Wien Drücker (sometimes also referred to as “Alt-Wien Türdrücker”) refers to a classic door handle in the “Alt-Wien” style—a historicist Old Vienna design that draws inspiration from the aesthetic trends of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, often associated with the Austro-Hungarian Empire era.
Stop number two
The second project we visited, BIOGENA, had a similar feeling — warm, calm, thoughtful. The chosen anodized finish wasn’t loud or flashy, but it shaped the entire space. It created a sense of comfort and softness that perfectly suited the building‘s purpose.
I’ve noticed this kind of approach—soft tones, subtle finishes, an overall gentle aesthetic—more often in Austria than elsewhere. It made me wonder if this was a design direction that would find its way to us, too.
It was one of those days that reminds us why we do what we do. The spaces we help create truly matter—not just functionally, but emotionally as well.
And there’s something else I took away from this trip: green building isn’t just a trend. It’s a space full of opportunity. With our partitions, we’ve already carved out our place on the market. But when it comes to green façades, we’re just getting started — and I can’t wait to see where this path takes us.
