Day Program Renovations The main hall is where we spend a lot of our time together, in the mornings it quickly turns into our dance floor or yoga studio for morning movement, staff and clients enjoy connecting by doing motor life skills, crafts, and just sitting and conversing with each other.

Update Each month we feature two of our eleven programs. Each program is unique and based on the indivduals supported within each program.

SILP News

Spring has finally arrived, and the SILP & Preston team is thoroughly enjoying it! March was a celebratory month for us, as we marked the birthdays of Dwayne and Tim with a delightful dinner joined by friends and family. April kept the festive spirit alive with birthdays for Drew and Allan.

The city feels vibrant and energized, and our calendars are quickly filling up with various celebrations and events we're excited to attend. Here's what everyone’s been up to:

Angela Ange l a e s caped the cold with a solo f l i g h t to Arizon a, enjoying the warm e r weather.

Allan Alla n h a s been savoring coffee, spen d i n g quality time with family, and l o o k i ng forward to Salsa by the Rive r .

Tristan Tris t a n e njoyed an exciting trip to Palm S p r i ngs and also spent some time i n L as Vegas.

Eastview Update!

Eastview has had a lively year, hosting various fun events like a 1950sthemed supper, mall scavenger hunt, coffee socials, cooking classes, and a 70s-themed karaoke night turned dance party. Each event was uniquely enhanced by participants' contributions.

With spring's arrival, Devan and Winston c l e a n e d t h e b a c k y a r d, preparing it for summer a n d a f a m i l y w e i n e r r oa s t n e x t m o n t h . E x c i t e me n t a l s o s u r r o u n d s u p c om i n g f r o n t y a r d l a n d s c a pi n g improvements.

D e v a n h a s b e e n c r e a t i ng impressive artwork in weekly art therapy classes, to be showcased at an e x p o n e x t m o n t h . S he e n j o y s w e e k l y o u t i ng s w i t h SaskAbilities and brightens e v e r y o n e ’ s d a y w i t h he r jokes.

Jeremy has learned to play the violin and French horn, performing weekly w i t h t h e C o s m o R h y t hm B a n d . H e e n j o y s p l a nn i n g potluck menus and choosing movies for m o n t h l y m o v i e n i g h t s . He now spends weekends at E a s t v i e w , v a l u i n g t he r e l a t i o n s h i p s a n d s up p o r t .

Winston completed the Saskatchewan 5k M a r a t h o n i n 6 6 m i n ut e s and plans to participate in m o r e m a r a t h o n s . I n hi s free time, he enjoys Lego projects, puzzles, music, gaming, and making p e o p l e l a u g h w i t h hi s jokes.

Leah, when not working, plays soccer, watches hockey, and creates Diamond art p a i n t i n g s . S h e a n d he r d a d a t t e n d e d thrilling hockey games, leading to a t e m p o r a r y l o s s o f he r v o i c e , w h i c h s h e amusingly managed with a text-to-voice app.
