De vraag blijft, echter, of een esthetiek van het oordelen zelf wel bestand is tegen de listigheid van de Rede. Stel : via de oordeelskracht wil Kant de Rede met zichzelf verzoenen – de noodzakelijkheid van de natuur leeft nu eenmaal op gespannen voet met de menselijke willekeur – dan nog blijft de kwestie overeind of wij die verzoeningsoperatie kunnen “zien” of alleen maar
