As always we offer a warm welcome to our match officials today.
Clare Warren
It’s possible you won’t agree with every decision they make during the course of the game, but please remember this is Rugby Union, not Association Football – if you’re the type who enjoys berating or even abusing officials, I would respectfully suggest this is not the place for you.
Please respect the match officials.
Today is another one of those special days at Kettering Rugby Football Club as we welcome some special VIP guests to help us begin the launch of another step forward in the ambitions of our Club by launching Kettering Rugby Community Foundation.
We also give a very warm welcome to Market Bosworth RFC for our return game at Waverley Road, both teams know that this is a crucial encounter which both teams really have to win if they have any chance of escaping relegation come the end of the season. Last week’s performance against the league leaders Lutterworth should give the Kettering side a lot of confidence as we bettered them up front and created a number of try scoring chances on top of the three tries we scored.
We know we are well and truly involved in the relegation mix, but, as everyone involved with rugby knows all too well, it's a long old season, and there's plenty of excitement still to come for the rest of the season for both todays sides.
After today’s game we have another crucial home game against bottom of the table Leicester Forest on Saturday 15th, it is the Clubs Annual Farmers Lunch and with no Six Nations games the side will have plenty of support. Tables and places are available for lunch on the day and all event information is on the main club website at www.ketteringrugbyclub.com and you can also speak to Clare in order to book a place or even a table:

All 6 Nations games will be shown on the clubs screens, so why not make it an afternoon of rugby and come along and join us. After today’s game against Ireland, next week sees England taking on France at Twickenham with a 4:45pm kick off.
The draw has been made for the Papa John Cup , we have a home tie against Peterborough on Saturday 12th April and if we win that game we will be at home again, this time to Wellingborough on Saturday 26th April. The draw then opens up and we could then play one of the following clubs, Ledbury, Malvern or Stratford upon Avon.
Remember, Sunday Night is QUIZ NIGHT at Kettering Rugby Club, so why not get a table together and have some fun and even have the chance of winning some money.
We already have a number of tables booked for the CHELTENHAM GOLD CUP LUNCH on Friday 14th March so if you are looking to attend please see the posters around the Club or on the website for information on how to get involved in one of the great events at the Club.
