As always we offer a warm welcome to our match officials today.

Clare Warren

It’s possible you won’t agree with every decision they make during the course of the game, but please remember this is Rugby Union, not Association Football – if you’re the type who enjoys berating or even abusing officials, I would respectfully suggest this is not the place for you.

Please respect the match officials.

WELCOME FROM THE PRESIDENT

Today is another busy day at Kettering Rugby Football Club as we welcome some special guests, firstly it’s our Annual Farmers Lunch and our grateful thanks to Berrys for all their hard work. Also today we welcome the East Midlands Rugby Union Referees Society for their Assessors

Day Dinner, you are all very welcome. We also give a very warm welcome to Leicester Forest RFC for our return game at Waverley Road, both teams know that this is another crucial encounter affecting relegation come the end of the season, but our last match performance against Market Bosworth should give the Kettering side a lot of confidence going into today’s game.

We know we are well and truly involved in the relegation mix, but, as everyone involved with rugby knows all too well, it's a long old season, and there's plenty of excitement still to come for the rest of the season. After today’s game and another week off we travel tup the A6 to Market Harborough before we host Old Scouts on our Old Players Lunch day - tables and places are available for lunch on the day and all event information is on the main club website at www.ketteringrugbyclub.com and you can also speak to Clare in order to book a place or even a table: SAT 8TH MARCH - Kettering RFC v Old Scouts RFC - Old Players Lunch

All 6 Nations games will be shown on the clubs screens, so why not make it an afternoon of rugby and come along and join us. Next week sees England taking on Scotland at Twickenham with a 4:45pm kick off.

The draw has been made for the Papa John Cup , we have a home tie against Peterborough on Saturday 12th April and if we win that game we will be at home again, this time to Wellingborough on Saturday 26th April. The draw then opens up and we could then play one of the following clubs, Ledbury, Malvern or Stratford upon Avon.

Remember, Sunday Night is QUIZ NIGHT at Kettering Rugby Club, so why not get a table together and have some fun and even have the chance of winning some money.

We already have a number of tables booked for the CHELTENHAM GOLD CUP LUNCH on Friday 14th March so if you are looking to attend please see the posters around the Club or on the website for information on how to get involved in one of the great events at the Club.

On behalf of everyone at the Club can I say a big thank you to all the Match Officials who come to Kettering this season, please remember that without them there is no game, and we greatly appreciate their efforts. Please Remember: Be Loud, Be Proud and Be Respectful.

Peter May – President, Kettering Rugby Club

A FEW WORDS FROM SENIORS FORWARDS COACH DANNY NOBLE

GAfter a big win for all last time out, the players have been building momentum in training ready for another tough fixture this weekend.

Over the last few games, a huge focus has been around the word “WE”

WE must make the right decisions on and off the field. WE must be positive. WE must have the right attitude. WE control the outcome.

With all this in mind, hopefully we’ll be successful in the outcome of today’s game.
