As always we offer a warm welcome to our match officials today.

Clare Warren

It’s possible you won’t agree with every decision they make during the course of the game, but please remember this is Rugby Union, not Association Football – if you’re the type who enjoys berating or even abusing officials, I would respectfully suggest this is not the place for you.

Please respect the match officials.

WELCOME FROM THE PRESIDENT

Hopefully the weather this week allows us to give a very warm welcome to the league leaders Lutterworth for our return game at Waverley Road, they are 15 points clear at the top and unbeaten and I really cannot see nobody catching them as they look to achieve

their ambition of promotion to Regional 1 Midlands. Kettering on the other hand are well and truly in the relegation mix, but, as everyone involved with rugby in this league knows all too well, it's a long old season, and there's plenty of excitement still to come for the rest of the season. Whatever the result today we already know that our two home league games in February are crucial, so your support of the side would be most welcome. Tables are available for both lunches and all event information is on the main club website www.ketteringrugbyclub.com and you can also speak to Clare in order to book a place or even a table:

SAT 1ST FEBRUARY

Kettering RFC vs Market Bosworth RFC

The Presidents Lunch

SAT 15TH FEBRUARY

Kettering RFC vs Leicester Forest RFC

The Farmers Lunch

Following our game next Saturday the start of the 6 Nations with England away to Ireland will be shown on the clubs screens, so why not make it an afternoon of rugby and come along and join us. Remember, Sunday Night is QUIZ NIGHT at Kettering Rugby Club, so why not get a table together and have some fun and even have the chance of winning some money. We already have a number of tables booked for the CHELTENHAM GOLD CUP LUNCH on Friday 14th March so if you are looking to attend please see the posters around the Club or on the website for information on how to get involved. On behalf of everyone at the Club can I say a big thank you to all the Match Officials who will come to Kettering this year. Without them there is no game, and we greatly appreciate your efforts. Please Remember: Be Loud, Be Proud and Be Respectful.

FROM THE DUGOUT

WORDS

GInconsistent is a word well used so far this season. Inconsistent in our play - Awesome at times and poor at others. Inconsistent in our availability - Numerous changes most

weeks due to injury, holidays , shopping trips, tattoos etc , which in turn makes it very hard to gel as a playing group. Excuses, I know, but the reality is real. All that being said the positivity in the group hasn’t wavered one bit they continue to train hard , with great numbers attending both sessions during the week. With seven league games remaining ( 5 Home 2 Away ) we remain confident in our ability to get the results to finish our season on a high note

Big thank you to our unwavering supporters who continue to offer words of advice and attend matches home and away on a weekly basis. Lastly congratulations to Lutterworth on their league position, dropping only one point so far this season , which is very impressive considering the strength of some of our other league clubs.Hopefully today we can offer you a better game than we did at your place earlier in the season
