ADVERTORIAL “AQUATHERM, redefining piping, heating & cooling as well as environmental protection”

Architects, engineers, designers and building owners are often restricted to selecting pipes that are available on the market and not what will serve their purposes. These limitations come with future maintenance costs, pipe bursts and frequent pipe replacement.

Piping System Planning

In addition to ecological and economic factors, the following criteria must be considered when planning pipe systems: • Weight • Stability • Pipe roughness • Impact strength • Thermal conductivity • Corrosion resistance • Processing spans • Temperature ranges • Insulation against energy loss or exposure to cold weather • Flow and flow noise • Longevity and reuse of the material

Aquatherm Green Pipe

The special composition of the Aquatherm-owned plastic fusiolen® PP-R makes the green pipe a specialist for use in potable water applications and is suitable for many other applications.

Applications:

• Potable water application (cold and hot water pipes) • Connection to heating and cooling • Heat pumps • Compressed air system • Swimming pool technology • Chemical transport (considering to chemical resistance) • Applications in shipbuilding • Underground supply networks • Pipelines in agriculture and horticulture

Characteristics:

• Suitable for potable water installations • Completely free of heavy metals • Has high environmental compatibility • High stability • Low weight • High impact rate • Less pipe roughness • Easy to process • Virtually leak free, homogeneous fusion welding • Heat and sound insulating characteristics and corrosionresistant

Ecology and Sustainability

The environmentally friendly and hygienically enhanced potable water system from Aquatherm is physiologically and microbiologically harmless.

This has been verified in the numerous certifications and approvals from all over the world. Our pipes are NSF (National Sanitation Foundation), BREEAM (Building Research Establishment's Environmental Assessment Method) and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental) certified for hygienic, environmental sustainability and energy efficiency applications. Aquatherm is the most widely certified and greenest PP-R piping system on the market today.

Aquatherm Blue Pipe

The specialist for the transport of cooling and heating media in closed systems as well as for many industrial applications has been specially developed for applications outside the potable water installations.

Applications

• Connection to heating and cooling • Chilled water applications • Compressed air systems • Vacuum systems • Swimming pool technology • Chemical transport (considering chemical resistance) • Applications in shipbuilding • Underground supply networks • Pipelines in agriculture • Geothermal energy The Aquatherm blue pipe includes a complete solution system in combination with Aquatherm green pipe fittings in the field of chilled water and various industrial applications.

No corrosion problems

Air conditioning systems (problems with dew-point) installed with steel pipes especially are affected by corrosion at the outer surface of the pipes. Aquatherm blue pipe is manufactured from 100% corrosion resistant materials which increases the lifecycle of airconditioning pipe systems considerably.

Less Insulation

Due to its excellent thermal insulation properties Aquatherm blue pipes compared to metal pipes require a considerably thinner insulation.

Energy Saving

Lower pressure drops and smaller pump power required when compared to normal metal pipes, due to lower surface roughness. Pump capacities and dimensions can be selected smaller than for steel pipe systems with expected incrustation. Even with lower energy costs the savings potential is clear.

No additional chemicals necessary to protect the pipe

No treatment plants required for complete Aquatherm blue pipe installations, save costs and maintenance intervals.

Value Added Services

• 10-year warranty • 20M Euro product liability • Design assistance (CAD, BIM files, Fluid flow, Pipe stress, Manifold design) • Training -ECSA CPD -Installation
