all about that blu e MODERN CRAFTSMAN DONE RIGHT IN HOME RENOVATION BY FACTOR DESIGN BUILD
FOR LOCAL DENVER FIRM FACTOR DESIGN BUILD, HOME RENOVATION PROJECTS ARE A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO TRULY FIND THE SOUL OF A SPACE—MESHING A HOME’S INNATE CHARACTER WITH THE TASTES, GOALS AND LIFESTYLES OF ITS OWNERS. “We provide a comprehensive design build experience,” says Josh Fiester, co-founder of Factor Design Build. “We’ve assembled a diverse team of specialists in architecture, interior design, project management and carpentry that all work together to give a truly expert perspective to every aspect of a project.” This level of detail and expertise is especially evident in one recent home renovation project in Denver’s Hale neighborhood taken on by the Factor Design Build team. Seeking to address the last rooms of their 1936 home and bring them up to the same design standards as the rest of the residence—while also gaining more play and living space for their son—the family was also focused on ensuring that the whole home remained cohesive in look and feel. “It was important to all of us that the work we do really tie into the existing feel and materiality of the home, both inside and out,” Fiester says. “And I think we were really able to achieve that.” Working from original design plans produced by Denver’s Chalet Colorado, Factor Design Build put its unique structural touch on the project while also executing the construction and overall interior design. The project included the renovation of the home’s existing master suite, kids bedroom and basement, as well as creating a 178- square-foot addition that includes a family room, mud room and kids toy storage closet.
