We’re hiring Trainee Steam Plant Boiler Attendant

Based at Mount Gambier Full Time

OneFortyOne is looking for a Trainee Steam Plant Boiler Attendant to join the Jubilee Sawmill.

The main duties of this role includes, but not be limited to:

• Monitoring and maintaining boiler operations, steam and hot water systems • Minor maintenance tasks on the above system • Testing, monitoring and maintenance of chemicals for boiler operations • General housekeeping duties

You will also undergo training to hold an Advanced Boiler ticket and will be able to undertake general duties within our sawmilling operations.

Ideally you will have:

• A solid work ethic • Basic mechanical understanding • Sound IT skills and the ability to learn new computer systems • The ability to learn new skills and a willingness to undertake further training to develop these skills This role requires commitment to a 24 hour rotating 4 shift roster and is an annualised salary position.

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Condition Monitoring Technician to provide and maintain predictive maintenance programs,

reducing unplanned maintenance and repairs to maximise the efficiency of

plant and equipment. Primarily this position is day shift, however there are times when the successful applicant will be required to work a rotating 4-shift roster. Duties and responsibilities will include: • Perform and maintain site analysis programs • Perform condition monitoring tasks to detect faults in their infancy, correct

in a planned manner and maximise process online efficiency (OLE)

• Report key performance indicators to maintenance planner for site reporting • Assist in planning, scheduling, and performing repairs to faults detected from the conditioning monitoring programs

• Be actively involved in root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability centered maintenance (RCM) reviews / programs as directed • Label rotable plant and update rotable plant changes and spares in Mainpac • Perform breakdown tasks as directed and assist trades / contractors during

breakdowns as required • Analyse records and identify opportunities to improve maintenance programmes and suitability of plant • Perform tasks to the required quality to reduce wasted resources through

work and / or breakdowns

• Supervise and provide coaching and development to apprentices

• Liaise with stakeholders and resolve issues as they arise

To be considered for this position you will have:

• Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitting / Machining) • Previous experience / training in vibration and oil analysis (highly desirable)

• Demonstrated experience in machine trouble shooting, problem solving and

fault finding

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge working with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment

• Ability to read and interpret drawings / blueprints • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant computer applications • Strong numeric, oral and written communication skills • High technical and analytical skills

• Excellent data and record keeping skills

To be successful, you must be self-managed, motivated and willing to put

in the effort to complete the role to the high standard required. Attention to

detail is paramount. Successful applicant will be supported to undertake VCAT-1 Vibration Analysis

Accredited Certification.
