Dear Wolverine State Missionary Baptist Convention Family,
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, it is a great honor to gather once again at the Wolverine State Missionary Baptist Convention. As we convene in our 106th session, our aim is to look to the future with renewed purpose. Our convention's central theme is "Strengthening the Local Church and Supporting the Greater Work," and our focus will be on reimagining ministry for the 21st century. This year's sub-theme, “Contending For the Faith,” is a call to address and confront heretical teachings that have infiltrated Christendom. We are committed to upholding the faith that has been entrusted to us and refusing to compromise its integrity. Let us express our gratitude to God for His faithfulness while also embracing the challenges ahead with optimism and determination. This is my earnest prayer for all of us.
I want to express my sincerest gratitude to the esteemed executive team of our convention for their unwavering commitment in organizing a truly remarkable and fulfilling week of ministry. Additionally, my heartfelt appreciation goes out to Pastor Douglas P. Jones and the kind and generous members of Welcome Missionary Baptist Church of Pontiac, Michigan, for their gracious hospitality in hosting our session this year. It is with great honor and pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to all, as we gather at the Welcome Missionary Baptist Church for the highly anticipated 2024 Session of the Wolverine State Missionary Baptist Convention. May the Almighty bless us with a deeply meaningful and life-transforming experience during this sacred and blessed gathering.
