Ibstock Community College Project 24: Our vision for the next 3 years, and beyond
In January this year The DfE gave their approval to enable the secondary schools in the Ashby and Ibstock area to change the year groups taught in each of the secondary schools with a gradual transition from August / September 2022.

Ibstock Community College and Ivanhoe College will both become 11-16 schools, whilst Ashby School will become an 11-18 school.
This means by 2024 Ibstock Community College will have transformed into an 11-16 school and we will be looking forward to our fi rst set of GCSE Key Stage 4 examination outcomes!
We aim to be an exceptional learning environment in which all members of our community can be the very best version of themselves.
The rich curriculum, delivered passionately and knowledgeably in and out of the classroom, will lay the fi rmest of foundations for every young person whatever their starting point. Ibstock students will be expected to become active citizens who take their environmental and charitable responsibilities seriously and our outward-looking philosophy will underpin our work in partnerships which contribute to Ibstock becoming a vibrant and stimulating centre of educational excellence.
To help us along this journey we have set up a parent focus group who meet once every half term to ensure we remain to track to achieve our vision. If you would like to be part of this group as a current or future parent please email principalspa@ ibstockcollege.co.uk for more information.
