Thursday 18th & Friday 19th August The Tale of Peter Rabbit & Benjamin Bunny - Outdoor Theatre
Peter and his naughty cousin Benjamin know very well that they are not to go into Mr McGregor’s Garden, but they just can’t resist. Soon enough, they fi nd themselves in all sorts of scrapes. From Quantum Theatre, this charming adaptation will have the whole family spellbound. Grab a blanket and a picnic and join Peter and Benjamin at Bradgate Park for a delightful day of fun. Shows at 11am and 2.30pm on Thursday and 2.30pm on Friday. Allow time for your walk from either the Newtown Linford [LE6 0HB] car park or Hallgates [LE7 7HQ] car park. There will be signs directing you to the Deer Meadow. Bring a picnic and blanket. Tickets cost £15 for adults, £10 for children (3-16) and £45 for a family.
Saturday 27th August Twilight Walk for All
Join the team at Wild Minds for a Twilight Walk around the woodlands of Moira Furnace and Donisthorpe. Bring your torch and get ready for a hunt for fungi, to learn about the nocturnal animals that live in the woods and to explore the woodland in a different light. This walk is suitable for adults and children and is a great way to spend an evening. Meet at 7pm. Cost £6 per person. Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th August Ashby Big Weekend
A brand new event combining Ashby’s REALfest on Saturday with Proms in in the Park on Sunday. Two days packed full of great entertainment are planned, all on Ashby Bath Grounds with plenty of food and drink vendors. Saturday will feature live entertainment beginning with a street dance performance, local bands and tribute acts & ending with a screening of Grease the Singalong Musical. The artisan market and children’s entertainment will keep everyone happy. On Sunday, Proms in the Park returns with soul and Motown hits, a full swing orchestra and a performance by the D-Day Darlings. Tickets start from £15 and can be purchased online at www.ashbybigweekend.co.uk
