THOUGHT
One of the greatest ways we honour God is by honouring the role of a father. Throughout Scripture, we see the heart of God revealed through the picture of a loving Father who leads, protects, provides and guides His children. Whether we have had a great earthly father or not, every one of us has been invited into a relationship with our perfect Heavenly Father.
In a culture where fatherhood is often neglected or undervalued, God reminds us that fathers are worthy of honour. Healthy fathers bring strength, stability and direction to families and communities. They are not called to be perfect, but they are called to be present. The impact of a father who loves God and faithfully leads his family can echo through generations
As we reflect on the theme, “Worthy of Honour,” let us take time to appreciate and pray for the fathers and father figures in our lives. Their influence matters more than they may ever realise, and honouring them reflects the heart of God.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank you for being the perfect example of love, faithfulness and care. Today I pray for fathers and father figures. Strengthen them, encourage them and help them lead with wisdom and humility. Teach me to honour those You have placed in my life and to reflect Your heart in my relationships. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.
THOUGHT
When we hear: “Every good gift comes from our Father in heaven”, most of us would agree with this principle. Yet, when life becomes difficult, we often question that truth. We wonder why God allowed a disappointment, a delay, a loss, or a closed door. The struggle is not usually with God’s goodness; it is with our definition of what is good.
As children, we often thought sweets, late bedtimes, and getting our own way were good things. Our fathers knew better. They understood that what felt good in the moment was not always good for us in the long run. Wisdom allowed them to see beyond our limited perspective.
Our heavenly Father is the same, only infinitely wiser. He sees the end from the beginning. What we call a setback may be protection. What we call a delay may be preparation What we call a loss may be the very thing that shapes our character and draws us closer to Him
Our Father never stops giving good gifts. Sometimes those gifts come wrapped in blessings, and sometimes they come wrapped in lessons. Faith trusts that our Father’s definition of good is far greater than our own.
PRAYER
Almighty God and Heavenly Father You are good You desire what is good. Open our eyes to see, and our hearts to trust. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

For the LORD disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child… No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening, it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.
THOUGHT
One of the most beautiful pictures of God in Scripture is that of a loving Father. Unlike a distant ruler or an uninvolved observer, our Heavenly Father is deeply invested in our growth and development. For many people, the word father brings different emotions and experiences. Some have known the love, protection, and guidance of a caring father, while others may have experienced absence, disappointment, or hurt. Yet Scripture reveals that God is the perfect Father, one who loves unconditionally, remains faithful, and is deeply invested in the lives of His children.
One of the characteristics of a loving father is that he disciplines those he loves. Hebrews reminds us that God’s discipline is not evidence of His anger or rejection; it is evidence of His love Just as a good earthly father corrects his children because he desires what is best for them, God lovingly shapes and guides us so that we may become more like Christ
Discipline is rarely comfortable In the moment, correction can feel painful, frustrating, or difficult to understand We may question why God allows certain challenges or lessons in our lives. Yet, our Heavenly Father sees what we cannot. He knows the character He is forming, the faith He is strengthening, and the purpose He is accomplishing through every season. His discipline is never meant to harm us; it is meant to help us grow.
A loving father does not leave his children without guidance. He teaches, corrects, protects, and prepares them for maturity. In the same way, God uses His loving discipline to produce righteousness, wisdom, and spiritual growth in His children. Today, if you find yourself in a difficult season, remember that your Father is at work. Trust His heart, knowing that every lesson He teaches is rooted in His perfect love for you.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me enough to guide, correct, and shape my life. Help me to trust Your heart even when I do not understand what You are doing. Teach me to receive Your discipline with humility and faith, knowing that Your plans for me are good. Produce in me a harvest of righteousness, peace, and Christlike character. See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!
THOUGHT
Have you ever paused and wondered what the Father sees when He looks at you? Many of us immediately think about our strengths, weaknesses, successes, or failures. Yet, this verse points us somewhere entirely different: to the Father’s love.
John invites us to stop and consider the depth of that love. How great is it? The Father calls us His children Not servants trying to earn a place, not strangers trying to find acceptance, but sons and daughters who belong to Him.
The Father’s love is not based on performance. It is rooted in His character and expressed through relationship. He knows your strengths and weaknesses, your victories and failures, yet He does not withdraw His love. He calls us His children, and that is what we are.
Fully known, yet fully loved.
As you honour God as Father, may you learn to rest in that truth. Through Christ, you have been welcomed into His family. From that place of belonging, you can grow, serve, and follow Him with confidence.

Father, thank you for Your great love toward us. Thank you that You call us Your children and welcome us into Your family. Help us to rest in Your love, trust Your heart, and find our identity in who You say we are. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THOUGHT
Matthew 3 records the story of Jesus approaching John the Baptist to be baptised After the baptism, the heavens were opened, and the Holy Spirit descended like a dove and settled on Him. Whilst the heavens were open, God the Father spoke audibly to the listening audience: “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”
This is the first time the Trinity is made visible, and the voice of the Father is heard audibly in the New Testament. How amazing that the first words the audience hears of God the Father are words of affirmation and love for His Son, Jesus Christ. This displays the beauty of the Father's heart. The Father is deeply loving and greatly delights in His children.
What a joy it is that Jesus says that when we pray, we should start with these words: “Our Father in heaven”. We have an amazing Father who dearly loves and takes great delight in us

The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
THOUGHT
When David calls God his Shepherd, he's not using a random illustration. A shepherd was responsible for everything concerning the sheep. He guided them, protected them and provided for them. Without a shepherd, sheep were vulnerable and easily led astray.
The same is true for us as well One of the easiest things to do is to trust God as our Shepherd when the path ahead is clear. The challenge comes when we don't understand where He's leading us to. Sometimes God allows us to walk through seasons that challenge our comfort and require us to depend on Him more deeply. Yet, through every season, His character remains the same, God stays the same.
What makes God worthy of honour is that He doesn't lead from a distance, He is present through it all. He knows every concern before we bring it to Him and every need before we recognise it ourselves. He sees what we cannot see and guides us according to His perfect wisdom. Even when the journey feels uncertain, the Shepherd is fully trustworthy.
Honouring God as our Shepherd means surrendering our own plans and trusting His leadership. It means believing that His direction is better than our understanding and that His care never fails. The more we follow His voice, the more we discover the peace and security that comes from walking closely with Him.
PRAYER
Father, thank you for being our faithful Shepherd. Thank you for leading and protecting us each day. Help us to trust You even when we cannot see the full picture. Teach us to follow Your voice above every distraction and to rest in Your guidance. May our lives honour You as we walk closely with You and depend on Your leadership. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THOUGHT
Psalm 23 is a great scripture because it shows the characteristics of God and how He reveals Himself as a loving shepherd who knows, guides, protects and cares for His people. The amazing thing is that He doesn’t lead and push them from the back, but leads them from the front.
And this is what He does, God guides us through life’s uncertainties, giving us wisdom and direction.
He says in verse 2 that He leads us by peaceful streams. He leads us there so that He can bring peace to our troubled hearts. When we are weary, discouraged, or wounded, He restores our souls with His presence and grace.
Honouring God as our Shepherd means we need to trust in His leadership, we need to follow His voice, as we need to rest in His care, even when our paths get difficult. He wants us to be confident in Him as the Shepherd and how He leads us, because He is faithful and good.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, thank you for being my Shepherd, thank you for guiding me when I am uncertain, comforting me when I am afraid and restoring me when I am weary. Help me trust Your voice above all others and to follow where You lead. May my life honour You as I walk closely with You each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THOUGHT
Have you ever felt lost, confused or unsure of what to do next?
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, and we may not know which direction to take. In those moments, it is comforting to remember that we do not have to figure everything out on our own
In John 10:11, Jesus calls Himself the Good Shepherd. A shepherd’s role is to guide, protect and care for his sheep. Jesus does the same for us. He watches over us, leads us and loves us deeply. His love is so great that He willingly gave His life for us on the cross. Even when we feel lost or uncertain, Jesus is right beside us, holding out His hand and inviting us to trust Him.
He sees the path ahead when we cannot and gently leads us in the right direction. All we need to do is reach out, take His hand and follow where He leads.
Will you take the Good Shepherd’s hand and allow Him to lead you today?

THOUGHT
We confess that Christ is not only our Saviour but also our faithful Shepherd. From eternity, God set His love upon His people and, in His perfect timing, called them into His fold. Left to ourselves, we would wander endlessly, but the Good Shepherd seeks, gathers, and keeps every sheep entrusted to Him by the Father.
Jesus is worthy of all honour because His care for His flock is perfect and unchanging. He knows each of His sheep personally, not merely as a crowd, but by name. He leads us through seasons of abundance and seasons of difficulty, always guiding us according to His wisdom and for our good. His rod and staff are not instruments of harshness, but of loving protection and faithful direction.
As believers, our security does not rest in our ability to hold onto Christ but in His commitment to hold onto us. The Shepherd who laid down His life for the sheep will never abandon them. He guards, sustains, and preserves His people until the day they stand safely in His presence.
This truth gives us confidence in every circumstance. We can follow Him with trust, knowing that the One who leads us is both sovereign and good.
PRAYER
Good Shepherd, thank you for calling us into Your flock and caring for us with perfect faithfulness. Help us to trust Your guidance, rest in Your protection, and follow wherever You lead. Keep our hearts close to You and remind us daily that our security rests in Your steadfast love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

"The Lord is my Shepherd" from Psalm 23 is probably one of the most well-known verses in Scripture. This verse is very reassuring. It paints a beautiful picture of God's shepherding heart. A shepherd guides, protects, comforts, and restores his sheep. This is exactly how God cares for His people.
He leads us beside still waters, restores our souls, and walks with us through the darkest valleys. Jesus reinforced this truth when He declared, "I am the good shepherd." in John 10:11. God has never intended for us to navigate life alone. He is actively involved in our lives and desires to guide us through every season. Our role is simply to follow where He leads He tells us that we will know His voice
The problem is that many people think they cannot hear God because they do not hear an audible voice. Yet God has given us His Holy Spirit to lead and direct us. He guides us through Scripture, by conviction, wisdom, and His presence within us.
The challenge is often not that God is silent, but that our lives are filled with distractions. Too many voices compete for our attention. The more time we spend in God's Word, the more familiar we become with His voice, His character, and His ways. The Shepherd wants to guide us; we simply need to listen. We simply need to spend time with Him.
When we trust His voice and follow His leading, we honour Him as our Shepherd and acknowledge that His way is better than our own.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, help me to discover who You are on the pages of Scripture. Teach me how to recognize Your character and truths, so I can follow You all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

There is a beautiful song by a christian worship band SEU Worship titled ‘Forgiving God’, inspired by the parable of the prodigal son in Luke.
These lyrics have been gripping hearts: "He's been sitting on the porch, awaiting your arrival. You never left His heart, He's always thinking of you. He'll come running out to meet you, and throw His arms around you. He's a forgiving God."What a beautiful picture of the Father's heart.
Sin has a way of creating distance between us and God, but His love never stops pursuing us, and His character never changes. The moment we turn back to Him, He forgives us completely. It is so beautiful that He doesn't simply wait for us to make our way home, He runs to meet us, arms wide open That's our Jesus
No matter what you've done or how far you've wandered, just come back home. Repent, and you will find forgiveness. He will wrap His arms around you, not because you've earned it, but because that's who He is, a forgiving God. Because of His forgiveness, because of the sacrifice of Jesus, we don't have to live under the weight of shame or guilt. We get to walk in true freedom. He's on the porch. He's watching. He's waiting. Come home.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, thank you for being a forgiving God. Thank you that even when sin creates distance between us, Your love never wavers, and You never stop watching the road for us. Teach us to stop hiding and to turn toward home. Fill us with the courage to repent, knowing that You are not waiting with folded arms, but running out to meet us Open our hearts to receive Your forgiveness fully and not just as a transaction, but as a restoration. THOUGHT
Forgiveness is one of the most difficult things God calls followers of Jesus to do. When we have been hurt, betrayed or treated unfairly. Holding on to offence can seem justified. Yet, scripture repeatedly points us back to a simple truth: We forgive because God first forgave us.
Every believer stands before God as a recipient of extraordinary grace Through Jesus Christ, God chose not to hold our sins against us. Instead, He offered mercy, restoration, and a new beginning. The debt we owed was far greater than any debt another person could owe us, yet God freely forgave us through the sacrifice of His Son.
This does not mean that forgiveness excuses wrongdoing or removes all consequences. Rather, forgiveness is a decision to release the desire for revenge and to entrust justice to God. It is choosing to extend the same grace that we ourselveshave received. It opens the door to restoration of relationships and frees us from the chains of resentment. Jonathan Lockwood Huie said: “Forgive others, not because they deserve forgiveness, but because you deserve peace.”
PRAYER
Almighty God and Heavenly Father, help us to overcome our self-righteousness and pride, and forgive the people who hurt us. Intervene on our behalf and restore those relationships. We thank you for Your mercy and grace in forgiving us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven. If you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.
THOUGHT
“Lord, what is my purpose? Why did you put me on this earth, and how do I step into the fullness of my design?” I used to think that my purpose in life was linked to my calling, and my calling connected to ‘my life plan’. To my surprise, when I stopped looking for this answer in the circumference of my mind, I found it… on page one… in this rather hefty book, famously known as the word of God.
Genesis (1:26) tells us of the “imago dei”, a foundational Christian concept that, in a very fancy Latin accent, affirms mankind’s value. It argues that we are ALL made in the image of God (man and woman) and as such we are ALL worthy of the respect and love such a representation demands. Now, such a theology states that it is not our appearance (flesh) that makes us special, but rather our purpose. We are the only beings in God’s creation who are given a job, that is to “reign”. Since the very beginning of time, God’s plan for us was to be representations of His authority and presence here on earth, as it is performed in heaven.
Sin corrupted our capacity to fulfil that purpose.
So, when Jesus tells us to forgive others, He invites us to be made whole. To share in His authority and calling by not only being complete image bearers of God, but also a holy priesthood, a people who operate through a divine authority. So, brother or sister in Christ, I commission you to remember that Christ forgave you when you were still a sinner. Honour your purpose; receive the Holy Spirit and forgive those who have sinned against you.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank you for the boundlessness of Your love and the gift of your word. Lord, we repent for the unforgiveness in our hearts. Please forgive our sins as we forgive those who have sinned against us. Holy Spirit, we receive Your presence and invite your rebuke. Please make us more like You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

ACTS 7:60 (NLT)
He fell to his knees, shouting, “Lord, don’t charge them with this sin!” And with that, he died.
THOUGHT
Forgiveness is often most difficult when we have been misunderstood, rejected, or deeply hurt by others. Stephen experienced this firsthand. As he faithfully proclaimed the truth of God, the crowd refused to listen. They became enraged, shouted over him, dragged him outside the city, and began to stone him. Yet before this happened, Stephen’s eyes were fixed on Jesus. He saw heaven opened and Christ standing at the right hand of God, reminding him that God’s presence was greater than the hatred surrounding him.
What is remarkable is not simply that Stephen endured suffering, but that he forgave those who were causing it. As stones were thrown at him, his final prayer echoed the heart of Jesus: “Lord, don’t charge them with this sin!” Stephen had every reason to respond with anger, bitterness, or a desire for revenge, yet he chose forgiveness. Forgiveness begins when we choose to focus on Christ more than the offence. It does not mean the hurt was acceptable or that the pain was insignificant. Rather, it means we trust God enough to release our right to hold onto bitterness. When our eyes remain fixed on Jesus, we remember that He sees our hurt, understands our pain, and is able to bring justice in His perfect way and timing.
Like Stephen, we will all encounter moments when people disappoint us, reject us, or treat us unfairly. In those moments, we must choose whether we will focus on the offence or on Christ. A heart fixed on Jesus is a heart that can forgive. When we forgive, we reflect the grace that God has so freely given to us.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, thank you for the forgiveness You have shown me. When I am hurt, rejected or misunderstood, help me to keep my eyes fixed on You. Guard my heart from bitterness and teach me to forgive as You have forgiven me Give me the strength to release every offense into Your hands and to trust You with justice. May my life reflect Your grace and mercy to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THOUGHT
Have you ever experienced the sensation that holding onto something frozen for a prolonged period of time can cause? Like when you take a whole bag of ice out of the freezer and no one can find the scissors to cut it open?
This sensation happens because your brain struggles to distinguish between extreme heat and extreme cold, translating the sudden temperature plunge into a sharp burning or stinging sensation. The blood vessels in your hands and fingers then constrict to conserve heat This severely reduces blood flow, which causes a sort of "pins and needles" feeling. Holding onto unforgiveness can sometimes feel like holding a bag of ice for too long. It can harm us spiritually and cause a lot of pain as it robs us of our peace and joy, and causes bitterness to overflow into our relationships.
God never intended for us to carry the "sting" of unforgiveness. When we forgive others, we are choosing to place the offence in God's hands. Forgiving does not mean that the offence goes away or that it never existed.
Instead, forgiving allows us to honour God by trusting Him with our hearts and lives and surrendering that "sting" to Him It allows us to walk in the freedom Jesus purchased for us when He paid the price so that we ourselves could be forgiven.
PRAYER
Dear God, thank you that, through You, we are forgiven. We acknowledge that it can sometimes be very difficult to forgive people that have wronged us, even though we know it is what You want from us Please help us to forgive others, just as You have forgiven us. In Jesus' name. Amen

For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things
THOUGHT
Too many times in life we try to try to fill our own cups and more often than not, it’s with the things of the world. “He satisfies the thirsty” provides and cares for those who are in need. Thirst was a common experience in the arid regions of the Middle East, so water was a precious resource. It still is as essential today as it was back then In John 4:14, Jesus speaks of giving “living water” that quenches spiritual thirst. God is a Father who meets both our physical and spiritual needs.
He also fills the hungry with good things. God providing for those who are hungry is found all throughout scripture. In Exodus 16 we see how God provided manna for the Israelites in the wilderness, a clear indication of His ability to meet physical needs. That phrase “good things” is quite a special one. It suggests that our generous God does not just sustain but can also provide with great abundance and quality. We see this in Matthew 14 where Jesus feeds the 5000.
Good things not only refers to physical needs but also to the spiritual nourishment that we find in having a relationship with God. He is able to fulfil deeper longings far beyond our mere physical hunger.
PRAYER
God, thank you that in you our thirst is satisfied. Thank you that you fill our lives and souls with good things. We trust and rely on You fully. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
THOUGHT
What an example the Word of God is. As I think of God as a Provider, I can see, right through scripture, how He displays His love and care for His people. He provided manna for the Israelites in the wilderness, He provided food for Elijah during a famine, and daily provision for countless believers throughout history.
God knows every need we have, whether it is physical, emotional, spiritual, or relational, and the big thing for me is that He takes care of His children. When we honour God as our provider, it means that we recognise that everything we have comes from Him. Our opportunities, resources, and our daily needs are all from Him.
When we realise that fact, our hearts should be filled with gratitude and we should have the confidence to know that God sees our needs and is working according to His perfect wisdom and timing. We need to realise, this does not mean that we will just receive everything we want, but it does mean that God faithfully provides what is best for us, and what we need to accomplish His purposes. As we trust Him, seek His kingdom first, and remain faithful, we learn to depend on Him rather than on our own understanding and strength.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, thank you for being my faithful provider. Every good gift I have comes from Your loving hand. Thank you for providing for my physical and emotional needs, and for sustaining me spiritually. Forgive me for the times that I have not trusted You, and help me to remember that You know my needs even before I speak them out, and You are faithful to Your promises. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THOUGHT
God is worthy of honour because He is our faithful Provider. Long before we recognise a need, our Heavenly Father already knows it and has made provision for it. His care for His children is woven throughout Scripture and revealed in countless ways.
When Abraham stood on Mount Moriah with no visible solution, God provided a ram at exactly the right moment. When the Israelites wandered in the wilderness, He supplied manna from heaven daily. Through David we are reminded, “I have never seen the righteous abandoned or their children begging for bread” (Psalm 37:25). Time and again, God proves Himself to be Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides
Yet God's provision extends beyond material needs. He provides strength when we are weary, wisdom when we are uncertain, peace when we are anxious, and grace when we feel insufficient. His resources are not limited by earthly circumstances because they flow from His infinite riches in glory through Christ Jesus. He knows what our needs are even before we think to ask.
Honouring God as our Provider means choosing trust over worry and gratitude over fear. It means believing that His timing is perfect, His promises are true, and His provision is always sufficient. Even when we cannot see how He will make a way, we can rest in the assurance that our Father is already at work. Today, let your heart be filled with confidence. The God who provided yesterday remains faithful today and will continue to provide tomorrow

THOUGHT
Growing up, I watched my parents do whatever it took to look after our family. This did not mean that there was always food on the table, because sometimes there wasn't. It did not mean that we always had a place of our own, we often had to move in with family members and rely on their generosity to give us a place to stay.
There were many seasons when my parents worked multiple jobs, gave up weekends, and made sacrifices that I didn't fully appreciate at the time. One thing I always knew for sure though, was that everything they did was motivated by love.
As I reflect on this now that I'm older and a parent myself, it reminds me of God's heart as our Provider. His greatest act of provision was not financial, physical, or material. Our greatest need was for our relationship with God to be restored, and He provided a Saviour. His provision in that moment was motivated by love deep, unimaginable love for His people, and a desire to be close to them again.
We all have temporary needs, and God can absolutely meet them according to His will. But God's sacrifice through Jesus provided for our greatest and eternal need. Every time I think about what Jesus did for me on the cross, I am overcome with gratitude and adoration. When we recognise the magnitude of God's love and provision, our only response can be to honour and worship Him.
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for seeing our greatest need and providing a Saviour Thank you for loving us so deeply that You made a way for us to be close to You again. Help us to live each day with hearts full of gratitude, never taking Your provision for granted. In Jesus' name, Amen

We often think of provision in terms of finances or resources While God certainly cares about those things, His provision reaches far beyond what we can see. Throughout Scripture, God consistently reveals Himself as a Provider who knows exactly what His people need and faithfully supplies it.There are moments in life when we can become focused on what we lack. We look at the challenge ahead, the responsibility before us, the uncertainty around us and wonder if we have enough.
Yet, God's faithfulness has never been dependent on our circumstances. He is able to provide strength when we feel weak, wisdom when we lack direction, peace when anxiety rises and grace for every season we face.
What makes God worthy of honour is not only simply that He provides, but that He provides out of His love and faithfulness He is not a distant God, He is a good Father who delights in caring for His children. Every provision, whether big or small, is a reminder of His constant care and love for us.
When we honour God as our Provider, we shift our focus from our limitations to His sufficiency. We stop living from a spirit of fear and begin living from a spirit of faith, knowing that God is faithful to sustain us in every season we’re in.

Father, thank you for being our Provider. Thank you for Your faithfulness and for meeting our needs according to Your wisdom and goodness. THOUGHT
What is the capacity of friends who humbly acknowledge their own limitations?
Miracles happen when we stop trying to be the healing and instead bring our request to the One who can bring healing. Mark 2 describes the relentless pursuit of friends who, quite literally, make room when it seems there is no way to get to the feet of Jesus. The house that Jesus was preaching from was so crowded with people that they couldn't get through the front door, so they climbed onto the roof of the house and lowered Him down. Jesus acknowledged their faith and healed their friend.
Is there someone in your life who is like this paralysed man? Crippled, hurt, unable or unwilling to come to the feet of Jesus? Bring them there. Be so persuaded by the healing ability and the faithfulness of God that you DO NOT GIVE UP praying or fasting for healing. You cannot heal them, but your intercession can get them an audience with the King of all things in heaven and on earth.
Have the audacity to hope and believe beyond the comprehensible, because I assure you, the Lord hears your prayers, and he will be true to His promises.

THOUGHT
We confess that true healing comes from the Lord alone. In a fallen world marked by sin, suffering, and brokenness, we often experience wounds that reach far beyond the physical.
Yet God, in His mercy, does not leave His people to bear these burdens alone. He draws near to the hurting and ministers to them according to His perfect wisdom and grace.
The healing Christ brings is deeper than temporary relief Through His life, death, and resurrection, He addresses our greatest need, reconciliation with God. While we may not always receive immediate healing from every earthly affliction, we can rest in the certainty that our Saviour is at work, conforming us to His image and sustaining us through every trial. His grace is sufficient, and His purposes are always good.
Jesus is worthy of all honour as the Great Physician of our souls. He heals the broken-hearted, renews the weary, and gives strength to those who trust in Him.
Even when healing feels delayed, we can be sure He is never absent or unconcerned. The Lord works through every circumstance to fulfil His sovereign purposes and draw His children nearer to Himself
This truth gives us hope. Our ultimate healing is secure in Christ, and one day He will make all things new.
PRAYER
Gracious Father, thank you for being the One who heals the brokenhearted and comforts the afflicted. Help us to trust Your wisdom when healing comes quickly and when it comes slowly. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation
THOUGHT
In order for animals such as crabs to grow, they need to go through a process called moulting. Moulting is a biological process where animals shed and replace their outer covering to make way for new growth or seasonal change. Many may say that this process is simple. However, researchers have said that the moulting process causes incredible discomfort, exhaustion and vulnerability for the animal.
This process also has different stages and the ‘hardening’ phase which is the time it takes for their new shell to fully harden can take days, sometimes months depending on the species. During this time, they are weak and have little muscle density. For us humans our healing process, just like animals can be uncomfortable, exhausting and often painful. In order for us to heal we need to remove some of the layers that are holding us back from growing to our full potential This can sometimes be hard since the growth process means discomfort, letting go and trusting God even when you do not know or do not like it. In order for us to harden our shells we need to run to the source of healing.
To not entertain and run to counterfeits but instead run to Jehovah-Rapha (‘the Lord who heals’). Just like the ‘hardening’ phase, healing may not happen in a day, month or even years. But when we consistently run to the ultimate healer not only does He comfort and feel the hurt that we are experiencing in the moment, He transforms our vulnerability and uses our tears for His glory. Although we may be weak, we are strong in the eyes of the Lord. This is because when we are able to strengthen our muscle density in faith and hope in Him.
Suffering is transformation ground, that is why we should give God honour, since He endured all of the suffering the world could offer by dying on the cross and rising again for us. He persevered through the pain so that we can have life to the full in and with Him.
PRAYER
Father God thank you for being the ultimate healer. I will trust You knowing that You have persevered through all the suffering this world has offered. I honour You, Father God for caring to sit and comfort me in my weakness and I will praise You and give You glory for every tear that I shed. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God is our Healer Throughout Scripture, we see God's desire to bring restoration to His people. He cares not only about our physical wellbeing but also about our spiritual health. We often pay close attention to our physical health. When something hurts, we seek treatment. When we want to become stronger, we improve our diet, exercise, and rest. Yet many of us neglect our spiritual health, even when it is the area that needs healing the most.
God desires wholeness for us. He wants to heal wounds caused by sin, disappointment, fear, and brokenness. Sometimes those wounds are obvious, while other times they are hidden deep within our hearts. I once heard it said, "A stronghold isn't a demon sitting on your shoulder; it's a lie living in your logic." Many of the struggles we face spiritually are rooted in false beliefs that have become established in our thinking. God brings healing through the renewing of our minds, through His Word, through the work of the Holy Spirit, and through wise counsel
Healing often requires humility, introspection, and accountability. It means allowing God to reveal blind spots and areas that need restoration. It requires vulnerability and honesty before God. So, begin the journey. Allow Him to heal, restore, and make you whole.
As you go through this process, you will experience His healing work in your life. As God heals and restores you, your testimony becomes a reflection of His goodness and brings honour to Him.

One of the beautiful things about God is that He is not only interested in saving us; He is also interested in healing us. Many people carry wounds that cannot be seen. Some come from disappointment, some from broken relationships, and others from difficult seasons that have left scars on the heart.
When we look at the life of Jesus, we see someone who consistently moved toward people who were hurting. He healed the sick, restored the broken and brought hope to those who felt forgotten. The heart of God has always been restoration
As followers of Jesus, we are called to carry that same heart into the lives of others. Bringing healing can take on many forms. It can look like praying for someone, listening, encouraging or simply being present. Small acts of kindness can become powerful reminders of God’s love.
When we allow God to heal our own hearts and use us to bring healing to others, we become reflections of His grace in a world that desperately needs it.

David wrote this Psalm, reflecting on his time as a shepherd. Caring for sheep came with great responsibility. At times, sheep would go astray and get lost in dangerous places. Being in these dangerous spaces left them vulnerable to predators. Yet a good shepherd, who would leave the ninety nine sheep to find the one that went astray, would carry a rod and staff
The staff would be used as a walking stick, yet the rod was used to fight off any potential threat or harm.
As David was a good shepherd who cared deeply for his sheep, our Lord cares deeply about us. We are His sheep, and Jesus is the Good Shepherd (John 10:11), who lays His life down for His sheep. He is the One who defends and protects His sheep.
Rest assured that your Lord is fighting your battles for you, because He is a Good Shepherd who cares and loves.

One day in early high school, a student was being physically bullied outside a classroom. In that moment, an older friend from TeenLife walked past, saw what was happening, and immediately stepped in to defend them. There was no hesitation, she simply acted.
To that student, it felt like the breath of the Holy Spirit over the situation. The act of courage and compassion made a lasting impact.
What stands out is this: she could have kept walking. But she didn't. She understood that being part of a community means taking responsibility for one another
As Christians, we can find great comfort in knowing that God is our Protector, our refuge and our shield. But we are also called, as the body of Christ, to reflect His heart by protecting others. When one part of the body is hurting or under attack, the rest responds.
Our focus verse, Proverbs:8, reminds us to "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves." And Galatians:2 tells us,"Carry each other's burdens." We are called to rescue, to help, and to protect.
Don't walk past. Be the person who steps in. Let's live it out.
PRAYER
Lord, thank you that You are our Protector and that we never face anything alone. Forgive us for the times we have walked past when we should have stopped. Open our eyes to see those around us who need defending, comforting, and standing up for Give us the courage to act not tomorrow, but today. May we be to someone else what You have always been to us. When a toddler wants something now and the only reply they get from mom or dad is ‘no, because I said so’ or when a toddler wants to touch a stove and mom or dad says ‘no, don’t touch it’, it can be difficult for the child to understand in the moment why mom or dad said ‘no’ or ‘because I said so’.
Sometimes they may nag their mom or dad saying that they are not being nice or they might even throw a tantrum because they aren’t getting what they want. This looks a lot like us as God’s children. We go through pains of many kinds or we don't get what we want and we question God, asking Him ‘why did I not get that job?’ ‘Why didn’t that relationship work out?’ or ‘why did I not get that house?’ But we often forget that God is our Father and Fathers protect their children. And like a child who wants to touch a stove and they are told ‘no’, they later on realise that it was only for their protection that if they touched the stove, they would experience more pain touching the stove than the pain of not getting what they wanted in the moment.
Often when we don't get the answers from God that we want, we tend to blame God. However, God's protection is often redirection. Every ‘no’ is a ‘yes’ somewhere else. That is why it is important that we put the armour of God on and hold onto the shield of faith. Because it is our obedience to God and our faith in Him which is the very thing that protects us from the enemies' schemes. Our obedience to God and allowing him to be in control even if we do not like it, is better than sacrificing the consequences of choosing our will over God’s will
PRAYER
Father God, I thank you that You are a Father who protects Your children. That You are a God who loves me enough to want the best for my life. I put on the amour of God and I hold the shield of faith as a declaration for my faith and obedience to You even if what You want is not what I like or even when what You want is not my will. I ask that Your will be done over my life. Have you ever been so afraid that you didn’t know what to do?
One evening, a person was dogsitting and house sitting alone. It was late at night when the dogs started barking hysterically inside the house. Fear immediately set in, and their mind began imagining the worst. They didn't know who to call or what to do At that time in their life, they were not walking closely with the Lord.
Yet in the middle of their fear, something incredible happened. A deep sense of peace came over them, and they suddenly felt safe. Nothing around them had changed, but the fear was gone. Looking back, they now know that peace came from God.
Proverbs 18:10 reminds us that the Lord is our strong fortress and safe place. Even in our most fearful moments, He is near. His protection, comfort and presence is available to us no matter what we may be facing. When fear comes knocking, will you trust the Lord to be your strong fortress and safe place?

Dear Lord, thank you for Your constant protection and for always being there with us. When fear comes, help us to remember that we can call on You at any time. Teach us to trust You and run to You first, knowing that You are our strong fortress and safe place. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

As a baby, Jesus already threatened the Roman Empire After Jesus was born, the entourage of wise scholars discovered that the king of the Jews was born and went on a journey to find Him in Bethlehem. They arrived in Bethlehem and asked Herod, "Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him."
Herod was disturbed by the reality of a newborn king who would threaten his position, and therefore resorted to killing all the baby boys aged 0-2. Before Herod could implement his plan, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph, the father of Jesus, telling him to flee to Egypt with Jesus and Mary.
The Father anticipated the danger beforehand and decided to send an angel to appeal to Joseph to flee to safety. The Father was interested in protecting Jesus, and He also desires to protect you
Sometimes the Lord's prompts may not make sense to us, yet when we obey, just like Joseph did, we later recognise that it was for our benefit and the protection of ourselves and loved.
PRAYER
Father, thank you for Your love and protection. Help me to be sensitive to your Holy Spirit and accept your protection, in Jesus' name, Amen.

THOUGHT
Do you desire to be blessed by God? If your answer to that question is yes, then your assignment is clear, work for peace.
I think that the word “work” is quite vital here, because it helps us understand that peace doesn’t come easily. It’s not going to be gifted to you on a silver platter, you have to work for it! It certainly does help that peacemaking comes with the reward of being blessed by God.
But what does peacemaking actually look like? Well firstly, shalom, the Hebrew word for peace signifies completeness, wholeness, and harmony with God, others and quite importantly, yourself. Peacemakers are those who actively seek to reconcile and restore relationships, it’s not simply the absence of conflict, it seeks to promote harmony and understanding.
What a blessing to be called children of God. This means we can have a close relationship with God. As believers, we demonstrate God’s character to those around us when we work for peace.
So ask yourself today: Who do I need to make peace with? And then go and work for it! Not thinking of the things that, that person has also done wrong, but rather focusing on whether or not you have fully owned and made up for the part you played in this situation
PRAYER
God we know that peacemaking is not easy, so we come before You today and we ask for strength, wisdom, love and hearts that are soft and willing to fight for peace. Help us to put our pride aside and to seek unity, not division. Thank you that in doing this, You bless us. We worship You today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When Jesus speaks about peacemakers, He is describing people who reflect the heart of God. Peace is not simply the absence of conflict, but peace in spite of conflict. Throughout scripture, we see God pursuing reconciliation by healing broken relationships and drawing people back to Him. In today's world, conflict often feels easier than peace. It's easy to hold onto offence, making assumptions or responding out of frustration. Peacemaking requires something different.
It requires humility, grace, patience, simply a willingness to put God's heart above our own preferences What makes God worthy of honour is that He is the ultimate Peacemaker.
He made a way for us to be reconciled to Him. We were separated by sin, yet God took the first step toward us. He didn't wait for us to fix ourselves, instead, He extended grace and made peace possible through Christ. As followers of Jesus, we are called to carry that same heart into our relationships.
Whether in our families, churches, workplaces and communities. We have opportunities every day to reflect God's peace. Choosing forgiveness over bitterness and understanding over judgment allows others to see the character of Christ through us. When we honour God as Peacemaker, we become people who bring hope and reconciliation wherever He places us, by living a life that reflects Him

Have you ever found yourself surrounded by noise and activity, longing for just a moment of quiet? Perhaps there was a conversation you couldn't avoid, a decision you needed to make, or a circumstance that felt beyond your control. Sometimes the noise is around you; sometimes it is within you. Worries, unanswered questions, and uncertainty can leave your heart feeling crowded and unsettled. Yet Jesus speaks of peace very differently. He describes it as a gift. Not something you have to earn, manufacture, or strive for, but something He freely gives
Before you can share peace with others, you must first receive it yourself. As Christ's peace settles your heart, it begins to shape your responses, your relationships, and the atmosphere you carry. The gift received becomes a gift shared.
Peace: a gift received, and a gift shared.
Jesus calls His followers to be peacemakers. That does not mean ignoring problems or avoiding difficult conversations. It means carrying His peace into situations that need His wisdom, grace, and presence. When His peace rules your heart, it can begin to flow through your life to those around you

THOUGHT
God is our Peacemaker. He brings calm amid chaos. Yet His peace is not something we stumble upon. We must come to Him and invite His presence into our situation.
In Judges 6, Gideon encountered God during a time of fear and uncertainty. After meeting with the Lord, Gideon built an altar and called it "The Lord is Peace." God's presence brought peace into a situation that seemed hopeless
Jesus echoed this promise when He told His disciples, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you." (John 14:27)
The peace that God gives is different from the peace the world offers. The world's peace depends on circumstances being favourable. Yet that peace often disappears as soon as circumstances change. God's peace remains even when circumstances are difficult.
Many times, we find ourselves surrounded by chaos. Sometimes it comes from situations beyond our control, and sometimes it is the result of our own choices. Yet regardless of the source, God invites us to bring our worries, fears, and uncertainties to Him.
His peace brings more than calm feelings; it brings wholeness. It reminds us that God is in control and that we can trust Him completely. When we invite God into our situations and choose to rest in Him rather than being ruled by fear and anxiety, we will discover a peace that goes beyond understanding.
Let us honour God by living lives that reflect His peace rather than the world's chaos. As we trust Him in every circumstance, we become a testimony to the peace that only He can give.

In a fast paced world where work, school, children, marriage and friends fight for our time, it can cause us to become exhausted and overwhelmed if we do not find time to rest.
The “Hustle” culture teaches us to glorify constant busyness and treat overworking as a badge of honour. The world says ‘have a good job’, ‘make good money’ or ‘be popular’, only then will you be at peace. However that is not what God says peace is.
After Jesus was resurrected from the dead, He tells His disciples that He will soon be leaving to sit at the right hand of the Father in heaven. Sso that His Father in heaven can send a helper, who is the Holy Spirit, to the earth who will teach and remind the disciples everything Jesus has said to them. Jesus knew His disciples would be in distress since the teacher they dropped everything to follow was leaving.
To put his disciples at ease, Jesus says to them that He will leave a peace with them that the world cannot give The Hebrew word for peace is ‘shalom’ which does not only mean a peace to be still but it is often used as a greeting and a blessing to say that nothing is missing and nothing is broken. It means prosperity, protection, harmony and wholeness all at once. We do not have to be afraid or let our hearts be troubled on this earth because even though Jesus had to leave the earth He left us with a peace that still allows us to experience His presence.
Where nothing is missing nor broken as if Jesus never left us or the Earth. This world can distort our image of what peace really is, that peace is found in busyness and being constantly on our feet, however the peace God is offering us is not of this world. This peace allows us to be prosperous, and experience full harmony and wholeness with Him.
PRAYER
Thank you Father that You have left us with Your Shalom peace. I pray that even in my busyness I will find rest in You, knowing that You are the Peacemaker of my life. Thank you Lord that You have left us with Your Holy Spirit where we can now live in full prosperity, harmony and wholeness in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THOUGHT
It is easy to think that influence belongs to people with titles, platforms or years of experience. Yet Paul reminds Timothy that being an example is not about age or position; it is about the way we live.
Every day people are watching how we respond to pressure, how we treat others and how we represent Jesus in ordinary moments. Often the greatest impact is not made through a microphone but through a consistent life that reflects the character of Christ.
Being an example does not mean being perfect. It means being intentional. It means choosing integrity when nobody is watching, showing kindness when it is difficult and remaining faithful even when it would be easier to compromise. Under the theme “Worthy of Honour,” we are reminded that a life that honours God becomes a life worth following. When we live as an example, we point people beyond ourselves and toward Jesus.

The other night, I was reading The Little Prince to my daughter. In the story, the fox says, "What is essential is invisible to the eye." She asked me what that meant so I started to explain that some of the most important things in life are not things we can see or touch. Things like love, kindness, faith, and respect are more valuable than material “things”.
Before I could finish my little life lesson, she interrupted me. "But Mommy, I can see love”, she said. I was intrigued, so I let her continue. She went on to explain that she can see things like love in the way her dad and I treat each other. She can see it in the way we treat her, and in the way we treat other people.
Her response surprised and delighted me. While things like love itself are invisible, the way we live reveals what is in our hearts. What we value becomes visible through our actions. People may not be able to see our faith, our love for God, or our relationship with Him, but they can see the fruit those things produce in our lives.
As followers of Jesus, we get to honour God with the example we set. People see the way we treat others… they can see our kindness, our patience, our respect, and our willingness to serve (or our lack thereof). When we live in a way that reflects God's character, we point people towards Him and bring honour to His name.
PRAYER
Lord, please help us to live a life that reflects Your heart. May our families, friends, and people around us see who You are through our words and our actions, and may the fruit of our lives bring honour to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I remember when my kids were small and they would be doing something wrong and I would tell them not to do a thing they would question and ask why and sometimes, if I was a bit irritated, I would just say “because I said so”. I am so grateful that we serve a God who doesn’t just say because I said, so but gave us the example of how to live through Jesus.
Jesus faced so many things that we go through and deal while He was here on earth, He showed us how to live, He showed love, humility, obedience, compassion and forgiveness in every part of His life. He cared for the poor, healed the sick, welcomed those who were rejected, and taught people to love God and one another. Even when He faced suffering and opposition, He responded with patience and grace.
This verse encourages us to follow His example Jesus demonstrated servant leadership when He washed His disciples’ feet and taught that true greatness comes through serving others. His life reminds us to trust God, put others before ourselves and remain faithful in difficult times. As we study Jesus’ words and actions, we learn how to live with integrity, kindness, and faith. Following His example helps us grow spiritually and become a positive influence on those around us.

THOUGHT
Whether we realise it or not, someone is always watching us. Our children, friends, co-workers, and fellow believers observe how we live, speak, respond to difficulties, and treat others. The question is not whether we are setting an example, but what kind of example we are sitting.
Paul boldly told the Corinthian believers, “Imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.” Noticed that Paul did not point people to himself as the final destination. He pointed them through his life to Jesus. His confidence came from the fact that he was intentionally following Christ.
This is the calling of every believer We are not called to be perfect, we are called to be faithful followers of Jesus. As we imitate Christ’s humility, love, obedience, forgiveness and servant-heartedness, our lives become signposts that direct others towards Him.
People are often more influenced by what they see then by what they hear. A life shaped by Christ gives credibility to our words. When others see patience in our trials, kindness in our relationships, integrity in our work, and faith in our struggles, they catch a glimpse of Jesus through us.
A goal is not to gain followers for ourselves but to help others become followers of Christ. Every day presents opportunities to model what it looks like to walk with Him.
And so the question we should ask ourselves is, “If someone followed my example, would it lead them closer to Jesus?”

THOUGHT
God's jealousy is not like human jealousy. It flows from His deep love for us and His desire for a close relationship with His children. It is possible for us to become lukewarm in our faith and stop actively pursuing God.
Instead of filling our lives with godliness, we may turn to entertainment, television, achievements or other distractions, hoping they will bring lasting happiness. Yet when these things take God's place, they often leave us feeling empty, anxious and discouraged.
The good news is that when we repent and put God back at the centre of our lives, we can experience His peace, joy and comfort. God is a jealous God because He loves us deeply and desires our wholehearted devotion. He knows that nothing else can truly satisfy our souls.
When we put God first, our lives become an example that points others toward Him. The way we prioritise God, pursue Him and trust Him can show the people around us what it looks like to live in relationship with Him Our lives should reflect the God we follow and encourage others to draw closer to Him.
When we place Him first, we discover the peace, purpose and abundant life He created us to enjoy each day. And as we live that out, we become an example to those around us - not because we are perfect, but because our lives point people towards a God who is worthy of our wholehearted devotion.

THOUGHT
Patience is often misunderstood as doing nothing while we wait for something better. But Joseph’s life shows us that biblical patience is active faithfulness in an undesired place
After being betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, and later falsely accused, Joseph found himself in prison, far from the dream God had given him. Yet Scripture repeatedly reminds us that the Lord was with Joseph. That presence did not immediately change his circumstances, but it transformed how Joseph responded within them. Joseph did not allow his waiting season to become a season of stagnation. Even in prison, he served faithfully. He interpreted dreams, carried responsibility, and remained diligent where he was placed. His posture teaches us that delay is not denial, and obscurity is not absence of purpose. God was actively shaping Joseph in hidden places, preparing him for leadership through service, not shortcuts.
When we embrace patience, we resist the temptation to abandon faithfulness just because outcomes are delayed. We keep serving, keep trusting, and keep showing up with integrity, even when life feels unfair or unfinished. Joseph’s story reminds us that what looks like a pause is often preparation. The patience, faithfulness, and dependence on God that Joseph developed in prison eventually positioned him for the palace. In a single moment, God elevated him from prisoner to ruler, using every difficult season to prepare him for the responsibility ahead. Sometimes, the very place you want to escape is the place God is developing what you will need for your promise. The fruit of patience may not always come quickly, but in God’s timing it produces blessings, growth, and opportunities beyond what we can imagine.
True patience is not passive waiting, it is faithful stewardship of the present moment while trusting God with the future.
PRAYER
Lord God, teach me to be patient in seasons where I do not understand what You are doing. Help me not to waste my waiting, but to remain faithful, diligent, and obedient even when my circumstances feel delayed or difficult. Strengthen my heart so I do not grow weary or bitter in hidden places. Let me serve well wherever You place me, trusting that You are still with me and still working in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God is worthy of honour because He is patient. In a world that demands instant results and quick responses, our Heavenly Father demonstrates a patience that is beyond human understanding. He is not quick to anger, nor does He treat us as our sins deserve. Instead, He extends mercy, giving us time to turn back to Him and walk in His ways.
Psalm 86:15 reminds us that God is "a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness " Throughout Scripture, we see His patient heart on display. He patiently pursued Israel despite their repeated rebellion. He restored Peter after his denial. He welcomed the prodigal son with open arms. God's patience is not weakness; it is the powerful expression of His love, grace, and desire for repentance and restoration.
As God's children, we are called to reflect His character. Patience is evidence of spiritual maturity and a fruit of the Spirit at work within us. It is shown when we choose understanding over frustration, grace over judgement, and forgiveness over offence. Patience allows us to bear with one another, to encourage growth in others, and to maintain unity in our relationships.
Today, honour God by embracing His patience toward you and extending that same patience to others. Let your life reflect the character of a Father who is compassionate, gracious, and abounding in steadfast love.

Many people are waiting on something It may be healing, a breakthrough, a new opportunity, restoration, or even the person they will one day marry. The waiting is rarely easy, especially after many prayers and seasons of trusting God.
But 2 Peter 3:9 reframes everything. What looks like silence is not neglect. What feels like delay is not denial. God is not slow. He is intentional. His timing is never a mistake. Sometimes what feels like a delay is actually His mercy and perfect wisdom at work.
God's promises are fulfilled in His timing, not ours. He sees what we cannot, and He is always working behind the scenes for our good.
Waiting is never wasted God is shaping hearts, building faith, and preparing people in ways that could not happen any other way. Whatever someone may be waiting for today, they can take heart: hold on, stay faithful, and keep trusting. What God has set out for you will not pass you by, if you remain in His will. His plans will unfold at the right time.

A church leader must be a man whose life is above reproach. He must be faithful to his wife. He must exercise self-control, live wisely, and have a good reputation He must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must be able to teach. He must not be a heavy drinker or be violent. He must be gentle, not quarrelsome, and not love money.

The apostle Paul writes to Timothy, who is leading at church in Ephesus, offering guidance on the essential qualities of church leaders.
He highlights that one vital trade for leader is being ‘gentle’. However, this Greek term has multiple meanings, including gentleness, moderation, or patience.
Paul stresses the importance of need avoiding drunkenness and violence, instead embodying gentleness, moderation, and patience. Such patience enables believers to wisely manage their responsibilities, develop character, and become more Christlike.
Let us pray that the Lord grants us the ability to exercise patient with him, others, and ourselves.

Slow down. Walk slower. Observe how everything in nature takes time to unfold Who taught us that we should rush through everything?
Perhaps our convenient world has made us impatient. We no longer wait weeks to hear from friends through handwritten letters. We send a WhatsApp message and grow irritated when it isn't answered immediately. We no longer stand in long queues for simple administration; everything sits at our fingertips. We don't dream of decades of faithful work; we dream of overnight success. We are agitated in traffic, impatient in grocery store lines, and uncomfortable with silence. We have become accustomed to convenience and, in the process, have forgotten how to wait. To what end is this rush? Nature seems to know something we have forgotten. Trees are never hurried into maturity. Seasons do not apologise for taking their time. Rivers carve canyons over centuries. Seeds disappear beneath the soil long before they become visible to anyone
Everything that possesses depth unfolds slowly. Perhaps we were never meant to be different. The Holy Spirit gently reminds us that God desires our presence, not merely our productivity. He invites us to linger with Him, to be still, long enough to hear His voice, and to discover that transformation is rarely rushed.
Jesus Himself continually invited His disciples away from the noise. "Then Jesus said, 'Let's go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.' He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn't even have time to eat." (Mark 6:31, NLT) May this invitation dwell richly within us. May we become people who are unafraid to slow down.
May we spend extra time in God's Word. May we hear Him more deeply. May we become still enough to know Him. The slow work God is doing within us is not a sign that He has forgotten us. It is often evidence that He is forming something with eternal weight. Everything worthwhile takes time to unfold. "Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there someday." - A. A. Milne
