CSU to offer free xeriscape classes C
olorado Springs Utilities is committed to the intelligent use of water. It provides classes with experienced instructors to help residents make the best use of this precious resource. There is no charge for classes and reservations are not required, unless otherwise noted; however, seating is limited and first come, first served. All classes are held at Colorado Springs Utilities Conservation and Environmental Center, 2855 Mesa Road, home of CSU’s beautiful xeriscape
demonstration garden. For more information call 719-668-8232. Back in the day, the Colorado Springs & Interurban Railway was an elegant way to get to your destination, and the foundation’s president, Dave Lippincott, hopes that soon it will be again. The foundation is in negotiations with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway to purchase a narrow strip of land adjacent to Nevada Avenue where the railroad used to run.
