ore than 30 seniors sent packing from Emerald Towers Apartments now have new homes thanks to private donations totaling more than $38,000. Colorado Springs City Council President Richard Skorman announced that the fundraising goal had been reached at a press conference on Dec. 20 in the City Hall lobby. “We did a great thing as a community,” he said. chance encounter some years ago at festival in California, where John Skrivan befriended some Indigenous Australians, permanently changed his life. Skrivan, who said he’s always had an interest in indigenous cultures, was
