Alton Brown Live: Last Bite, the famed foodist reflects on his decades in food media, presents several of his favorite culinary mega-hacks, sings some of his funny food songs, and in general offers a culinary variety show the likes of which human eyes have never seen.
BIOGRAPHY ABOUT
Alton Brown was directing TV commercials when he got the crazy idea to go to culinary school and reinvent the cooking show. The result was Good Eats, an irreverent, scienceforward program that kept Brown gainfully employed for over twenty years. Along the way he also hosted iconic programs like Iron Chef America, Food Network Star, and Cutthroat Kitchen. Brown’s live culinary variety shows have toured to sold-out crowds across the country since 2013, and his tenth book, a collection of essays and ruminations, Food for Thought, will be published by Gallery Books in February of 2025. Among his various mantle candy are a pair of James Beard awards and a Peabody. He lives in Atlanta with his wife, the designer Elizabeth Ingram and a pair of nefarious canines.

Talon Room opened as “Talon Room by ChefauChef” February 7th, 2016. The idea behind the business was to offer an event venue ran by catering expert Aaron Young and protégé Matthew Rogge. In its first year, under direction of Matthew Rogge, the venue began to make it’s debut to multiple wedding ceremonies, receptions and other special events for companies, non-profits and families. April 1st, 2017 the business was passed along to Matthew Rogge and Nicole Rogge, at the time engaged to be married March of 2018. The first year as new business owners was exciting and finding the rhythm of the wedding and event industry proved a steep learning curve.
Moving into 2018, Matthew and Nicole were wed and began to explore expansion of the business to provide further services to the Lincoln community. August of 2018, Talon Room Suite 100 was born as well as catering services both for on-site and off-site events. As the business grew, the Talon Room brand began to make its way through the community. In 2019 we partnered with The Bistro by Nic Webster and Rutabagas by Sarah Brown to offer a pop-up restaurant style of service. As the light began to shine on further opportunities and use of Suite 100, a world-wide pandemic struck and presented new challenges for everyone.
June of 2020, Copper Kettle Mule Bar and Eatery and Talon Room partnered to offer a bar/restaurant and weddings/events under the same roof in down-town Lincoln. Operating together to grow in the hospitality industry, Matthew and Nicole Rogge partnered with Adam and Mackenzi Dodworth strive to provide Lincoln with the best wedding and event venue, catering service, and craft cocktail bar and restaurant.
Current Talon Room Services:
All-Inclusive Weddings, Corporate Events, Non-Profit Events and Off-Site Catering Services
