Welcome to the TCS Lidingöloppet Week – an event by and for all of us who think on our feet!

TCS Lidingöloppet is proud to welcome you to this year’s running party - an event made possible by and for all of us who think on our feet. For many months, TCS Lidingöloppet’s board, race officials and volunteers have quickly and flexibly adapted the event to current public health restrictions to ensure everyone’s safety. We now have great confidence that you as a participant will be quick on your feet during this year’s big running party!

W

e hope, for example, that all participants will make sure to take a few steps sideways to ensure a safe distance to other participants - both before, during and after the races. This year, TCS Lidingöloppet has, in accordance with the current restrictions, spread out the race events over an entire week and has drastically limited the number of participants. In this way, there will be significantly fewer people on the trails at the same time and also fewer people who travel, pick up their number bibs and reach the finish line simultaneously. Our wish is now that you as a participant help in this effort by keeping a distance to other runners and volunteer workers.

Please also make sure to keep moving after you reach the finish line. We know the mix of fatigue and euphoria that comes in finish area, but we hope that all participant this year can save their celebrations and discussions until the dinner parties at home. For preventive purposes, we have removed for example showers, changing rooms and large restaurant tents from Grönsta Gärde and we thus hope that you want to enjoy your performance outside the competition area when you have crossed the finish line.

Finally, we hope that all support teams will this year show their leg strength by cheering along the course. Due to the current restrictions, TCS Lidingöloppet will not be able to accept spectators in the start- and finish areas this year during the first weekend (2426.9). As a friend or relative, you are instead advised to walk out in nature where we do not risk congestion.

This year’s medal

This year’s medal motive: ”Swallow” (around 1950), detail from Carl Milles’ ”Fountain of Faith” The motive on this year’s TCS Lidingöloppet medal is Carl Milles’ statue ”Swallow” (around 1950) – a small bird intended for Milles’ monumental sculpture group ”Fountain of Faith” (1939-52), which, with its 38 human statues, plus animals and plants, is located at Falls Church outside of Washington D.C. The plaque next to the sculpture group reads ”The Fountain of Faith makes us see that we do not walk alone, that we’ll have a part in the bigger scheme of things”. TCS Lidingöloppet celebrates this message after a long period of social isolation: We do not walk alone – we are running together!

TCS Lidingöruset and TCS Lidingörullet 24 September BEFORE THE RACE START CERTIFICATE

The Start Certificates are sent out by e-mail to the contact person who has made the registration. If you have made a group registration for several participants, you will receive all start certificates by e-mail.

NUMBER BIBS

All number bibs for TCS Lidingöruset and TCS Lidingörullet are pre-printed and collected at Grönsta, on the righthand side of Grönstavägen when you arrive at Grönsta Gärde. Please have your start certificate ready.

For group registrations, the number bibs are sorted by group. A person collects all the number bibs for the group at the same time.

The number bib should be worn on the chest.

The number bib tent at Grönsta is open from 09:00 on Friday the 24 of September. Please leave plenty of time to pick up your number bib.

DURING THE RACE WARM UP

Friskis & Svettis Lidingö leads the warm-up for both races. The warm-up starts 15 minutes before each start.

COURSE

TCS Lidingöruset’s course lengths are 1.7K and 4K. The start- and finish areas are located at Grönsta Gärde on the right side of the field. The courses are well marked with signs and tapes. The surface is grass and trail. Officials are on site. TCS Lidingörullet also has a start and finish at Grönsta Gärde and has a new course. The start takes place on Grönstavägen in the direction of Lidingövallen. The surface is asphalt and trail. The course remains 2 km and is well marked with tapes and race officials.

ASSISTANCE ALONG THE TRAIL

If the participant requires assistance or if a relative goes along the route, it is of course ok.

TIMING CHIP

The timing chip is attached to the back side of the number bib. Don’t remove it. Your time starts when the starting gun for your class goes off and ends after you pass the finish line.

START & FINISH

Start and Finish takes place at Grönsta Gärde for both TCS Lidingöruset and TCS Lidingörullet.

CLOTHING/BAGGAGE

We unfortunately do not offer any guarded place to leave clothes or bags for this race.

AFTER THE RACE MEDAL AND DIPLOMA

All participants receive a bronze medal at the finish.

Diplomas are sent afterwards to everyone who has completed the race.

REFRESHMENTS

After the finish, participants receive water, lemonade and fruit.

PRIZES

The top three participants in each race will be awarded with prizes at Grönsta Gärde after the finish. Due to the pandemic, we have chosen not to have a scene this year, as we want to avoid large crowds.

TCS Lidingöfemman 24 September BEFORE THE RACE START CERTIFICATE & NUMBER BIB

All enrolled participants will receive their Start Certificate only by email. The Start Certificate contains the participant’s personal QR code. To collect your number bib, bring your personal QR code to the Number Bib Distribution. At the time of delivery, you will scan your personal QR code and your number bib will be printed. You can also find your QR code on My Pages.

The Number Bib Distribution is located at Lidingövallen.

Opening hours in The Number Distribution: Thursday the 23 of September at 18:00-21:00 and Friday 24/9 from 9.00.

DURING THE RACE WARM UP

Friskis & Svettis Lidingö is in charge of the warm-up. The warm-up starts 15 minutes before each start.

COURSE AND PACE

The course is 5 km and is well marked with signs and tapes. The surface is grass and trails. Officials are on site.

To find the right path, the track is well marked and there are officials that show you the right course. It is possible to both run and walk. Walking poles are allowed for those who wish.

AFTER THE RACE

The number bib should be worn on the chest during the competition.

TIMING CHIP

The timing chip is attached to the back side of the number bib. Don’t untie it. Your time starts when the starting gun for your class goes off and ends after you pass through the finish.

START & FINISH LOCATION

The start and finish are located at Grönsta Gärde. The start is at 16:00. Your starting group and start time are on the number bib. The start will take place in groups of 250 people so congestion is avoided. Two groups will be in the starting area at the same time: the one standing at the start line, and the one waiting to walk up to the starting line. In order to avoid crowds, please arrive to the starting area 20 minutes before your start! You are also requested to please leave the finish area as soon as you have received your medal and refreshments.

CLOTHING/BAGS

A hand-in for bags and clothing items for this race can be found at Grönsta Gärde. Only TCS Lidingöloppet’s clothing bags may be used, which can be found at the number bib handout. By warm-up clothing we mean a thinner training jacket, sweater, and pants. Close the bag and put on your label. The items are picked up in the same place after the finish on presentation of your number bib. It is not allowed to leave valuables in the clothing bag.

MEDALS

TCS Lidingöloppet’s bronze medal is awarded to all participants who completes the race.

REFRESHMENTS

A fluid station is available after finishing at Grönsta. It serves water and sports drinks.

PRIZES

The top three runners are recognized and receive the medals immediately after the race at Grönsta Gärde.

Due to the pandemic, we have chosen not to have a scene this year, as we want to avoid large crowds.

TCS Lidingö Knattelopp 24 September BEFORE THE RACE START CERTIFICATE & NUMBER BIB

All registered participants will now receive their Starting Certificate only by email. The Start Certificate contains the participant’s personal start number.

You can get your number bib in one of the following ways: a) print it at home through your start certificate, b) get the number bib at the Number Bib Distribution on Thursday 23.9 18:00-21:00 c) get the number bib at the start area on Grönsta Gärde on Friday 24.9 before start.

We recommend all participants to carry the number bib visibly on the chest during the race.

TIMING CHIP

TCS Lidingö Knattelopp does not have timing and therefore no chip.

START AND FINISH LOCATION

All classes in TCS Lidingö Knattelopp have start and finish at Grönsta Gärde. Due to the current public health restrictions, only one parent or supporter is allowed to accompany the participant along the course, with the exception of the first wave start where the participants run by themselves. If more people wish to show support, we recommend these individuals to stand along the course but not be in the start- and finish areas on 24.9.

DURING THE RACE COURSE

The course length during TCS Lidingö Knattelopp is 1.7 km. The course is well marked with signs and tape. Officials are on site.

AFTER THE RACE ENERGY STATION

After the finish line, all participants will be given lemonade and a banana. Diplomas in TCS Lidingö Knattelopp can be printed from www.tcslidingoloppet.se. The runners will be requested to please leave the finish area as soon as you have received your medal and refreshments.

TCS Lidingöloppet 30K 1 (2) 25 September BEFORE THE RACE START CERTIFICATE & NUMBER BIB

The Number Bib Distribution takes place at Lidingövallen.

The Number Bib Distribution’s opening hours: Thursday 18:00-21:00, Friday 09:00-21:00 and Saturday 07:0015:00. We recommend that you collect your number bib no later than 90 minutes before your start. Keep in mind that many people will pick up their number bib at the same time and that we want to avoid congestion. If you have the opportunity, we recommend you to pick up your number bib the day before your race.

START

The start is from Koltorp. Your starting group and start time can be seen on the number bib. A timing chip is located on the back of the number bib. The start will take place in groups of 250 people in order to avoid congestion. Two groups will be in the starting area at the same time: the one standing at the start line and the one waiting to walk up to the starting line. Please note that no participants will be allowed to enter the staring area until 20 minutes before start, as we wish to avoid crowds.

The start groups 1A, 1B and 1C are excepted from this rule as they start together, but with space between the groups. At the time of their start, no other runners will be in the start area.

The admission to the start area opens 20 minutes before your start and closes 10 minutes before. Information signs indicate when entry can take place. Starting in an earlier start group leads to automatic disqualification. Starting in a later group will automatically cause time extensions that cannot be corrected. PLEASE NOTE that it is about 1.8 km from Lidingövallen to the start area at Koltorp.

BAGGAGE HAND-IN

You can hand in your bag at Lidingövallen. It can be transported to the finish area for 40 SEK. The bag can also remain at the drop-off point free of charge. Follow the instructions. For valuables, see ”Good to know” hereinafter in this magazine.

If you want a bag or clothing submission label, print this in the Number Bib Distribution after you receive your number bib.

Clothing bags can be left free of charge at the start. You will find the clothing drop to the right of the start gate before entering. Only TCS Lidingöloppet’s clothing bags can be used which you get at the number bib handout.

By warm-up clothing we mean a thinner training jacket, sweater and pants. Close the bag and turn on the label.

Only clothing bags, not baggage, may be placed in the trolley. Clothing delivery takes place after the finish at Grönsta gärde on presentation of your number bib. It is not allowed to leave valuables in the clothing bag. .

DURING THE RACE COURSE MARKINGS

To find your way on the course, follow the tapes and signs that show that you are on the right trail. There are also kilometer- markings which tell you how far you have left to the finish. Large red flags refer to 30 km.

ROAD CROSSINGS

There are ‘sluices’ for runners at some road crossings to allow traffic to pass. Follow the officials’ instructions!

REFRESHMENT POINTS Along the course, drinks and energy are served in various forms, e.g. sports drink from Enervit: - at start, Koltorp: sports drink and water - 24.5 km from the finish, Ekholmsnäs: sports drink and water - 20.5 km from the finish, Hustegaholm: sports drink and water - 15 km from the finish, Fågelöudde: sports drink, water, buns, banana and pickles - 9.9 km from the finish, Grönsta: sports drink, water, buns, banana and pickles - 6.3 km from the finish, Uddvägen: sports drink, water, coffee, banana, buns, cola and pickles - 3.0 km from the finish, Tyktorp: sports drink and water - at the finish, Grönsta Gärde: sports drink, water, buns, banana and cola.

TCS Lidingöloppet 30K 2(2) 25 September CUT-OFF TIMES

Along the 30 km course there are a number of checks that you must pass before these times (km indicated from the finish): 15.5 km (Fågelöudde) at 17.15 20 km (Grönsta) at 18.00 25 km (Uddvägen) at 18.40 The last start group starts at 15.10

AFTER THE RACE MEDALS

TCS Lidingöloppet’s bronze medal is awarded to everyone who completes the race. If you think you’ve run in silver medal time and start in starting group 2 or higher, go to the results tent after the finish. Here, your exact race time is checked and you can replace the bronze medal with a silver medal if you have run fast enough.

For participants in the first wave start, the silver medals will be distributed in the finish area. The medal times can be found at www.tcslidingoloppet.se.

PRIZES

The award ceremony for the top six in the M30 class and the K30 respectively takes place at the podium directly adjacent to the finish tent. Since we do not want to gather people due to the pandemic, we have chosen not to have a stage. The other prize winners will receive their prizes in the award tent adjacent to the finish tent. Prizes are awarded for classes M30/K30 with placements 7-15.

Please note that prizes must be collected on site, they will not be sent out afterwards.

TEAM COMPETITION: The 30K race has five-person teams. The winning team wins the team prize Carl Milles’ statuette ”Hand of God”. The winning team is the club with the best time for its top five runners.

The start is from Grönsta. Your starting group and start time are on the number bib. A timing chip is located on the back of the number bib. The start will take place in groups with a maximum of 250 people in each group so congestion is avoided. Please note that no participants will be allowed to enter the staring area until 20 minutes before start, as we wish to avoid crowds.

AFTER THE RACE PRIZES

Award ceremony for the top three in M70 and K70, prizes for places 4-6 are collected in the award tent. Award ceremony for M80 and K80 for the top three. In the other classes there is an award ceremony for the top three and places 4-10 are picked up in the award tent.

Lidingö MTB 30K 1 (2) 2 October BEFORE THE RACE START CERTIFICATE AND NUMBER BIBS

Registered participants receive their Start Certificate via email. The Start Certificate contains the participant’s personal QR code. To collect your number bibs and chip: bring your personal QR code to the Number Bib Distribution. At the time of delivery, you will scan your personal QR code and your number bib will be printed. You can also find your QR code on My Pages.

BACK NUMBER BIB

Fill in the information requested on the back of the number bib and carefully read the instructions for attaching your chip to your helmet. Then attach the number bib visibly to your back. On the lower part of the number bib there are two smaller perforated parts with your starting number. You can tear these off to use at the free bag or valuables drop-off.

During Lidingöloppet MTB, MIOO’s mechanics will be available at Lidingövallen, ready to help you solve any issues before start. There will also be mechanics around the course, equipped with backpacks, first aid kits, and tools if any problems would occur with your equipment during the race.

NUMBER BIB

Attach the other bib to the front of the bike handlebars.

CHIP

Attach as instructed to a clean, dry helmet. The chip is a disposable chip and does not need to be returned. Number bibs must not be removed from the bike/back during the race. Any old chip must be removed before new chip is put on.

The number bib distribution takes place at Lidingövallen.

Opening hours in The Number Distribution: Thursday 23.9 18:00-21:00, Friday 24.9 09:00-21:00, Saturday 25.9 07:00-15:00, and Sunday 26.9 07:00-14:00. Saturday 2/10 07:00-15:00. Keep in mind that it is a couple of kilometers to cycle up to the start at Koltorps Gärde. If you have the opportunity, we recommend that you pick up your number bib the day before your race.

START

The start is at Koltorp. Your starting group and start time are on the number bib.

The start will take place in groups of 50 people at 5-minute intervals to avoid congestion. Start group 1 will be carried out with Mass-start. Two groups will be in the starting area at the same time: the one standing at the start line, and the one waiting to walk up to the starting line. Please note that no participants will be allowed to enter the staring area until 20 minutes before start, as we wish to avoid crowds.

Exceptions to this apply to starting groups 1A, 1B and 1C that start at the same time, but at intervals between the groups. Then no other cyclists are in the starting area.

Admission to the start area takes place 20 minutes before your start and closes 10 minutes before. Information signs clearly indicate when entry can take place. Starting in an earlier start group leads to automatic disqualification. Starting in a later group automatically causes time extensions that cannot be corrected. PLEASE NOTE that it is about 1.8 km from Lidingövallen to the start of Koltorp.

Lidingö MTB 30K 2(2) 2 October DURING THE RACE COURSE MARKING

To find your way on the course, there are tapes and signs that show that you are on the right trail. In essence, the track follows TCS Lidingöloppet’s blue/white/blue 30K signs. However, the course differs from these on a number of occasions. This is well marked. There are also km markings that tell you how far you have to go to the finish. Large red flags refer to 30K.

REFRESHMENTS

Lilla Lidingörace MTB 3 and 6 K 2 October BEFORE THE RACE START CERTIFICATE, NUMBER BIBS

Registered participants receive their Start Certificate via email. The Start Certificate contains the participant’s personal QR code. To collect your number bibs and chip: bring your personal QR code to the Number Bib Distribution. At the time of delivery, you will scan your personal QR code and your number bib will be printed. You can also find your QR code on My Pages.

BACK NUMBER BIB

Fill in the information requested on the back of the number bib and carefully read the instructions for attaching your chip to your helmet. Then attach the number bib visibly to your back. On the lower part of the number bib there are two smaller perforated parts with your starting number. You can tear these off to use at the free bag or valuables drop-off and at the free bike parking.

NUMBER BIB

Attach the other bib to the front of the bike handlebars.

CHIP

Attach as instructed to a clean, dry helmet. The chip is a disposable chip and does not need to be returned. Number bibs must not be removed from the bike/back during the race. Any old chip must be removed before new chip is put on.

If you want a baggage or clothing submission label, print this in the Number Bib Distribution after you receive your number bib. You can hand in your baggage at Lidingövallen. The bag is collected in the same place after the race and storage is free of charge. Follow instructions.

Clothing bags can be handed in free of charge at the start. You will find them to the right of the start gate before you enter. Only TCS Lidingöloppet’s clothing bags may be used, given to you at the number bib handout.

By ‘clothing’ we mean thinner training jackets, sweaters and trousers. Close the bag and apply the label. Only clothing bags, and no other baggage, may be placed in the trolley at the start. Clothing delivery takes place after the finish at Grönsta Gärde on presentation of a number bib. It is not allowed to leave valuables in the clothing bag.

DURING THE RACE COURSE MARKING

To find your way on the course, there are tapes and signs that show that you are on the right trail. Lilla Lidingöloppet MTB follows TCS Lilla Lidingöloppet’s 3,000 m track (one or two laps) with red/white/red signs (3000 m track) with the text Lilla Lidingöloppet.

DURING THE RACE THE COURSE

The course lengths at TCS Lilla Lidingöloppet are 1,7, 3 and 6K. The 6K race event consists of two loops on the 3K course. The trails are well marked with signs and tape.

AFTER THE RACE REFRESHMENTS

After the finish there is a liquid station with energy replenishment (lemonade and bananas) for all who fought so well.

MEDAL AND DIPLOMA

The bronze medal is awarded to all participants at the finish line. The winner in each race is given a gold medal and the runner-up is given a silver medal. Diplomas are sent out automatically through e-mail to all participants who cross the finish line in TCS Lilla Lidingöloppet.

PRIZES

The top 30 in each class in TCS Lilla Lidingöloppet receive prizes. The first six receive the prizes at the podium award ceremony directly adjacent to the finish tent. Since we do not want to unnecessarily gather too many people due to the pandemic, this year we have chosen to not have a stage. The other winners receive their prize in the award tent adjacent to the finish tent. The winners of F15 and P15 receive the Assar Blomquist scholarship.

THE START

The start is located at Grönsta Gärde. Your starting group and start time are on the number bib. Timing chip is located on the back of the number bib. See more about the timing under A-Z. Admission opens 20 minutes before your start and closes 10 minutes before. The start will take place in groups with a maximum of 250 people in each group to avoid congestion.

Information signs clearly tell you when the entry is. Starting in an early start group means automatic disqualification. Starting in a later group automatically causes time extensions. Neither will be corrected afterwards.

BAGGAGE AND CLOTHING

Clothing and baggage for this race can be found at Grönsta Gärde. Only TCS Lidingöloppet’s clothing bags may be used, given to you at the number bib handout.

By clothing we mean training jacket, sweater and trousers. Close the bag and turn on the label. The items are picked up in the same place after the finish on presentation of the number bib. It is not allowed to leave valuables in the clothing bag. For valuables management, see ”Good to Know” later in this startup magazine.

PINK T- SHIRT

Anyone who has ordered a pink t-shirt in connection with their race registration will have it sent to the specified postal address in mid-September. If you have made your registration after the mailing out of t-shirts, you should pick it up at race office when you collect your number bib. If you have not had time to buy a t-shirt, you can do so on site at Grönsta Gärde on the race day, Sunday 3/10. The T-shirt costs 229 SEK and is available in sizes S-XL. 50 SEK goes to the Cancer Foundation in full.

DURING THE RACE COURSE

The 10 km course runs in the same track as TCS Lidingöloppet 30 km last 10km, in hilly terrain. The course is marked with blue/white signs, flags and red-and-white etc. The km markings show how far it is to the finish.

The 4 km course runs in hilly terrain and is the same trail as the first 2 km of the course. The course is marked with flags and tape, etc.

REFRESHMENTS

- 6.3 km from the finish, Uddvägen: sports drink, water, buns and bananas (10 km race) - 3 km from the finish, Tyktorp: sports drink, water, bananas (10 km race) - at the finish: sports drink, water, buns, bananas (4 km and 10 km races).

AFTER THE RACE MEDALS

If you run under 50 minutes, you get a silver medal. Go to the results tent after the finish to check your race time and exchange the bronze medal for silver medal. Others who complete the race will receive a bronze medal at the finish.

PRIZES

The top 15 get a prize. The top six receive prizes at the podium directly adjacent to the finish tent. Since we do not want to unnecessarily gather too many people due to the pandemic, this year we have chosen not to have a stage. The other placings 7-15 will receive their prize in the prize-tent adjacent to the finish tent.

HONOR OF HONORS

Best Swedish female runner receives Enhörna IF’s AstraDiana scholarship. Team competition: Winning teams receive Carl Mille’s statuette The Hand of God, which was established in 2004. The winning team is the team with the best time for its top three runners. Please note that prizes are collected on site, they are not sent home.

Rosa Bandet-loppet – togetherness in a small or large scale!

In a crowd of hundreds of pink t-shirts, music and confetti, Rosa Bandet-loppet (the Pink Ribbon-race) is a party in favour of the fight against cancer. But the togetherness does not disappear just because the race is located at home through the digital race RosaBandetloppet@Hemma. On the contrary - Kajsa Wåhlin’s digital race in 2020 showed that the party can even be strengthened when the race is carried out in a smaller scale.

Rosa Bandet-loppet welcomes all participants to this year’s event – in a large or small scale, on Lidingö or digitally!

Kajsa Wåhlin began her journey towards RosaBandetloppet@Hemma after she had just been diagnosed with breast cancer in the autumn of 2020. After her doctor had informed her that exercise counteracts many of the cancer treatment’s side effects, she got the idea to arrange her own Rosabandetloppet@Hemma in a small scale. The support from family, friends and acquaintances was not long in coming - many wanted to show their support during the event:

pink-ribbon event. Throughout the day, pink ice cream was served and all participants were offered pink champagne after the finish line, where SEK 100 per bottle was donated in support of the Swedish Cancer Society (Cancerfonden).

- The event attracted neighbors, parent class representatives, friends of friends and even my own mother.

I found a nice course along Edsviken for the event - up to Ulriksdals Slott and back - which was exactly a 10K long.

The result was an event in line with the Swedish Cancer Society’s slogan “Together Against Cancer”. Although Kajsa did not run in a crowd of hundreds of pink runners and confetti, her own, local Rosa Bandet-loppet with 17 participants created a “together” which is at least as meaningful – the one between relatives, friends and acquaintances who want to show their love and care.

How to increase the festive mood in Lidingöloppet@Hemma!

Just like last year, TCS Lidingöloppet 2021 offers the opportunity to run the race from home through Lidingöloppet@Hemma!

One of last year’s participants in the virtual race was Tommy Karlsson, who through his running club HEJAHEJA Cheering Community (@hejaheja.cc) is an expert at promoting the joy of running. Here he shares his best advice on how to increase the energy in the digital race:

 Find the motivation in yourself

For me, TCS Lidingöloppet race is very much about joy!

Regardless of the weather and other external factors on the race day, this joy is an energy boost that I can live on for a long time. The energy during TCS Lidingöloppet comes from fellow competitors and from the fantastic audience, but also from myself.

 Recreate iconic places along the course

The energy increases during the race when you pass the many iconic places along the course. Since almost no spectators and other participants are present during Lidingöloppet@Hemma, you can thus recreate some of the special places that characterize the traditional racecourse on Lidingö.



Create a finish line with water and an energy station Build a finish line and celebrate your efforts after the race with water, energy drinks and treats (before Lidingöloppet@Hemma, Tommy had set up a garland as a finish line and prepared water bottles with inspiring messages).



ABANDONED R ACE If you need to discontinue the race, please report this to an official at the nearest water stop or in the information tent. You are not allowed to cross the finish line if you have abandoned the race. Pickup transportation of runners will be organized during all major races from the closest water/ energy station.

The bibs are printed on site in the bib distribution at Lidingövallen via Print on Demand. We do this as a sustainability measure as we thus do not need to throw away a large number of bibs.

To collect your bib, please bring your personal QR code to the bib distribution. At the distribution, scan your personal QR code. Your number tag will then be printed, processed and distributed to you.

All caravan parking areas will be administered during the TCS Lidingöloppet Week. Portable toilet facilities will be available on all caravan parking areas.

APP The new TCS Lidingöloppets app gives full control of everything that happens during the TCS Lidingöloppets week and is available for download. The app allows you to, free of charge, follow participants in real time and has valuable information on for example how to travel to Lidingö, the start times, maps, as the option to buy pictures of all participants.

The officials in the number tag distribution will work behind plexiglass or will be equipped with visors, face masks and gloves.

Please do not bring more than one person to places where there is a risk of congestion, for example the Bib Distribution and the Race Office.

BIB DISTRIBUTION For TCS Lidingörullet and TCS Lidingöruset on Friday the 24th of September, the bib distribution will take place close to the start at Grönsta gärde

Please arrive in good time to the bib distribution!

BICYCLE SERVICE TCS Lidingöloppet’s partner MIOO will, on the 25th of September between 09:00 and 17:00 and on the 26th of September between 09:00 and 15:00, offer guarded bicycle storage parking for free for all who arrive to Grönsta on a bicycle. MIOO also offers bicycle service and small bike repairs at Grönsta.

During Lidingöloppet MTB on the 2nd of October, MIOO’s bike mechanics will be available at Lidingövallen, ready to assist you with your bike before start. There will also be mechanics on bicycles along the course, equipped with backpacks, first aid kits and tools if any problem would occur for you as a cyclist.

If your child is registered for TCS Lidingö Knatteloppet on 24.9 you can choose one of the following options to obtain the bib: a) print the bib at home using your start certificate authorization; b) get the bib at Lidingövallen on Thursday 23.9 between 18:00 and 21:00 6 and 9pm, or c) get the bib in the start area at Grönsta Gärde on Friday before start.

For all other races, the bib distribution is located at Lidingövallen.

GOOD TO KNOW FROM A–Z COVID -19 We have done everything we can to make participants feel safe when participating in the TCS Lidingöloppet Week 2021.

By spreading our race events over a longer period and by creating wave starts with a limited number of participants, we have minimized the risk of crowding, both during start and finish, in the number bib distribution and during the traveling to and from the arenas.

Please do not bring more than one person to facilities where there is a risk of crowds, for example the number bib distribution and the race office.

CASH-FREE EVENT We are a completely cash-free event. We prefer payment via Swish. Credit card payment will be possible at the Race Office.

COMPETITION RULES The Swedish Athletics Association’s competition rules apply to all participants.

Due to the pandemic, we have decided not to build spectator stands this year. Since we still must limit the number of participants in the start- and finish areas, we will not allow spectators in the start- and finish areas on Koltorp and Grönsta during the 24th and the 26th of September. All spectators are advised to stand along the racecourse. Read more about this in the sections for each race.

This means, among other things, that you must stay at home if you have the slightest of symptoms such as cough, cold, sore throat or fever. The same goes for family members and friends who plan to participate and cheer for you. Keep a distances of 1,5 meters to all participants before, during and after the race.

THE SWEDISH CL ASSIC CIRCUIT To be allowed to include the TCS Lidingöloppet 30 in the Swedish Classic Circuit Diploma, both men and women must complete the 30 km course. For the Women / Short Classic Circuit, Rosa Bandet-loppet (the Pink Ribbon race) should be included, and for the Half Classic, the TCS Lidingöloppet 15 should be included.

The virtual races TCS Lidingöloppet@Hemma and the RosaBandetloppet@Hemma are also all part of The Swedish Classic Circuit. We care about your health and wish to give you the ability to choose whether you want to run on site or at home as long as the pandemic lasts. If you order to obtain a Swedish Classic Circuit diploma, your virtual result will be marked with an asterisk.

Are you not able to participate this year? Move your race to 2022 - the race still counts in your Swedish Classic Circuit.

CHANGE OF CL ASS/R ACE AND/OR TR ANSFER OF TICKET It is possible to transfer races and pay the price difference if the race you are transferring to is more expensive. If you are changing from a race on site to a virtual race, the transfer is free of charge. If you transfer to a shorter distance, the administration fee is SEK 100.

It is possible to change your race or wave start in the race up until 2 hours before start.

It is not allowed to participate in the race in another person’s name. Transfers of entries are possible on My Pages up until the day before the race for a fee of SEK 200.

DIPLOM A You can order a diploma (paper format) when registering for the race, to a cost of SEK 50 incl. shipping. All participants receive a digital diploma (PDF format) in the results email, which can also be downloaded for free via the results page after the race.

Dressing rooms and showers Due to the pandemic, we do not offer changing or shower services. Please therefore arrive to the event dressed for the race, and bring a dry shirt to change to after the event.

EMPT Y YOUR CAR YOURSELF We have received the following recommendations from the Police: - Do not leave any valuables in the car.

- Even an empty bag increases the risk of burglary.

- An open glove compartment can show the thief that there is nothing to steal.

Do you wish to report a crime? Call 114 14. For ongoing crimes, call 112.

EXPO Due to the pandemic, we do not arrange a normal expo this year. Instead, there is a bib distribution and a Stadium sports shop at Lidingövallen. Separate entrances and exits will be available for the bib distribution and the sports shop.

A few other partners will be represented in smaller tents outdoors at Lidingövallen.

EXHIBITORS Due to Covid 19, we have this year decided not to organize a customary expo at Lidingövallen. Instead, there will be a few shops and tents on Lidingövallen.

Between the 23rd and the 26th of September, there is a Stadiums Sports store available next to the bib distribution at Lidingövallen with its own entrance and exit.

THE 55K-R ACE (LIDINGÖFEMTIOFEMM AN) Since we this year will spread the race events over two weekends, we will not offer the 55k-medal (30+15+10K) this year. If you wish to challenge yourself, you are of course welcome to make your own 55K race. Take photos and tag us when you have finished your 55K race and we will share your experience in our channels. The hashtag for the 55Krace (Lidingöfemtiofemman) is #tcslidingöloppet55an.

Grönsta: Doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, Red Cross, defibrillators, ambulance, 4-wheelers for ambulances Track: Red Cross and transport service for cancelled cyclists.

FILM AND PHOTO TCS Lidingöloppet has race photographers who covers all the races during the week. Every evening after the race, we will also post clips on our Facebook and Instagram channels which summarize the day. The photo service Taggad. se takes photos of participants on the final stretch of the race and along the course. You have agreed to this in the registration. You will be able to find photos of your race in the TCS Lidingölopps Lidingöloppet app.

FOOD SERVICE Due to the pandemic, we decided at an early planning stage that we did not wish to gather our participants and visitors in large restaurant tents like previous years. We have instead chosen to offer a combined solution of kiosks/food stall grills with a focus on Swedish food. HAND WASH AND HAND SANITIZER There are opportunities to clean your hands in a variety of places around the course. There is cleaning foam in the toilets and there will be hand sanitizer or soap and water in all of TCS Lidingöloppet’s arenas (Lidingövallen, Grönsta and Koltorp). Hand sanitizer is also available at the liquid stations along the track.

INSUR ANCE If you have purchased an Exercise Race Insurance from Folksam and are not able to start, please contact Folksam directly.

KID’S ZONE In 2021, we have chosen not to organize Kids Zone, as it is difficult to plan for an activity as restrictions on Covid -19 have changed on several occasions during the planning period. Physical activities for kids are still very important for us and we contribute to this by arranging races for both boys, children and teenagers. In addition, our owner clubs run an extensive children’s and youth program.

LOST AND FOUND During each competition day, lost items are collected and can be picked up in the Information Tent at Grönsta Gärde.

After the race, everything that has been found will be stored. If you are missing something, please send an email to info@lidingoloppet.se no later than one week after the race.

M ASSAGE Due to the pandemic, we do not offer massage treatment for a fee this year. However, our chiropractors will, as usual, be available along the last 10 km of the course during the TCS Lidingöloppet 30K race. Additionally, there will be chiropractors in the healthcare tent at the start of the TCS Lidingöloppet 30K and the TCS Lidingöloppet 15K at Koltorp.

SPEC TATOR SE ATS: Due to the pandemic, we have chosen not to build spectator stands this year, and will not allow spectators in the startor finish areas at Koltorp and Grönsta. Instead, feel free to follow the races from the trails and/or through social media.

Exceptions from this rule apply to TCS Lidingö Knatteloppet and TCS Lilla Lidingöloppet.

MEDAL Everyone who completes their race will receive a bronze medal with a motif by Carl Milles. This year’s motif is named ”Swallow” and is from around 1950.

In some races, you are awarded with a silver medal if you run under a “silver medal time”. If you think you have run under the silver medal time, please go to the prize tent after the finish. Your exact finish time will then be checked and, if successful, you can exchange your bronze medal for a silver medal. You can find the medal times at www.tcslidingoloppet.se and in the Start Info which is sent out to you prior to the race.

Kyrkviken/Lidingövallen: The runners in the 30K-event pass this spot after about 8K while the 15K race participants pass by this area after 3K.

OPENING CEREMONY For the first time ever, the opening ceremony of TCS Lidingöloppet will be broadcasted live this year. It will take place on Friday the 24th of September at 7:30 PM in Lidingö Church and you can follow it via TCS Lidingöloppet’s Facebook channel.

Elfvik: The meadows around Elfvik on the North-Western part of Lidingö are scenic and offer plenty of room to cheer for runners without the risk of congestion.

SPEED Keep to the right if you are walking or taking it easy on the trails. Show respect for other participants on during the event. If you listen to music, it is required that you have the volume at such a level that you can hear passing runners and instructions from race officials.

QR CODE You will need your QR code to retrieve your bib. Your QR code can be found in your start authorization, which you receive via e-mail and which you can find on My Pages. can also be found in your start authorization certificate.

SPORTS DRINKS Enervit Isotonic Drink is served during most of the events during the TCS Lidingöloppet Week. This sports drink includes a mix of carbohydrates which is easy on your stomach. It also includes the minerals you the body needs on longer distances. The flavours are lemon and orange.

REGISTR ATION You can register all the way to the race, and even on the race day itself. We however recommend that you register via the web and no later than 60 minutes before the start.

You can also register at our Race Office at Lidingövallen.

The price is more favorable if you register well in advance.

RESULTS All competition results can be found on www.lidingoloppet.se and in the TCS Lidingöloppet app. We do not offer a result tent at Grönsta Gärde this year, as we wish to avoid large gatherings in indoor facilities.

SHOE RULES TCS Lidingöloppet has been exempted from the World Athletics’ cross country regulations regarding shoe sole thickness. The thickness of the sole is measured, including orthotics, under the central part of the heel. The shoe can be used if the sole thickness does not exceed 40 mm and if it is listed on the World Athletics’ ”Shoe Compliance List”.

Långängen: about 1 km walk from the start. From this point you can see the runners pass after about 3 km.

The Aborrbacken hill: With about 5 km left to go, the legendary hill is a great challenge for the runners.

Abborrparken: just after Abborrbacken you can follow the runners as they pass over a meadow.

Karins Backe: 2K from the finish on the 30K-course is the challenging hill Karins Backe, where the participants need extra support!

START AUTHORIZ ATION CERTIFICATE Your Start Authorization Certificate will be sent via e-mail. In this e-mail, you will also find your personal QR code, which you can also find on My Pages. To collect your bib, you must bring your QR code to the bib distribution.

START TIMES You can find your start time in your Start Authorization or Certificate at www.lidingoloppet.se SUSTAINABILIT Y Lidingöloppet strives to be a forerunner in the work towards a sustainable development. This includes continuous improvements in the areas of environment, social issues and economy, in close partnership with our interest groups. As a participant in this year’s race events, you will be offered insight and inspiration on sustainable Swedish food though our channels, where our partners will share their expertise.

Our aim is that as much as possible of the food served during the TCS Lidingöloppet Week should be Swedish.

Personnel from LRF will be available at Lidingö during the TCS Lidingöloppet Week to answer questions about sustainability.

GOOD TO KNOW FROM A–Z We ask you to take care of our nature. Our trail extends through forests and fields and sometimes through nature reserves. Remember to keep the competition area and tracks clean of debris. As it is forbidden to throw rubbish in nature, we recommend that you throw and sort rubbish in designated places. Bring the rubbish to the nearest water station if you have your own drink and snack with you.

TIMING The chip is located on the back of the bib. Do not remove it! The chip records your split times every five kilometers in the 10, 15, and 30K races as well as your finish time. The competition time begins after the start. No chips are used in TCS Lidingö Knattelopp.

VOLUNTEERS During a normal year, more than 2,500 volunteers help us arrange our events. Our volunteers come from non-profit sport associations, and by participating in the TCS Lidingöloppet races, you support their activities at Lidingö and in Stockholm. Many volunteers choose to double their efforts so that we can spread our races over a longer period of time and create security for our participants. All our main volunteers have been trained in how to maintain the security and well-being of our participants in order to ensure a safe race.

TOILETS Toilets are available at Lidingövallen, at the start at Koltorp, at the start/finish at Grönsta Gärde and along the course.

Toilets for disabled are available at Lidingövallen and at Grönsta Gärde.

TR ANSPORTS Both for practical reasons and with our environment in mind, we encourage you who can to take your bike to TCS Lidingöloppet. Together with our partner MIOO, we will have a guarded bicycle parking at Lidingövallen, and there will also be a bicycle parking at Grönsta.

Both for practical reasons and out of care for the environment, we advise you to take the bike to TCS Lidingöloppet if possible. Our partner MIOO will, between the 25th and 26th of September, offer all cyclists who arrive at Grönsta free and guarded bicycle storage. Read more under ”Bicycle service”. Using the bike benefits your health and contributes to less CO2 emissions. Thank you for biking!

For you who plan to use public transportation, take the metro red line to Ropsten. WARM-UP Joint warm-ups are performed on site before each start and are led by our partner Ving in most race events.

W WAVE START QUALIFICATION You can qualify for the wave starts until a week before the competitions at a cost of SEK 300. It can also be done online and be subject to availability.

You can also park at one of Stockholm’s entrance car parks and from there take the metro to Ropsten (Ropsten has a limited number of parking spaces) and then the free shuttle buses to Lidingövallen.

TCS LIDINGÖLOPPET PRESENTS OUR HEROES:

the Veterans!

TCS Lidingöloppet proudly presents our most loyal friends and our foremost ambassadors: The Lidingöloppet Veterans! All Veterans have finished at least 30 Lidingölopp – and some far more than that!

Some prominent names in this category are Roger Antonsson, Sune Eriksson and Lars Nordin, who will this year run TCS Lidingöloppet 30K for the 57th time.

This means that they have participated in all races since the start in 1965! Also the runners Jan-Olof Dackebro, Christer Grunder, and Ingemar Hellström have run all years since the start on different distances!

These runners are the front figures for TCS Lidingöloppet’s 30-klubb (the 30 Club) - a group of dedicated runners and happy public health promoters who have completed the TCS Lidingö-

loppet race events over either 30, 15, 10 or 4K (for M/K 90) at least 30 times. We are so proud of their efforts, and we extend a warm welcome back to this year’s event!

Nutritional preparations

Swedish produce – great in the long run!

Many know that Swedish produce promote sustainable farming practices. What is not as well acknowledged is that Swedish food is a great energy source before physical challenges. TCS Lidingöloppet therefore recommends Swedish food in the preparations for this year’s races. The following are a few of the many advantages of loading with Swedish produce before TCS Lidingöloppet: Low levels of plant protection products The Swedish climate, with its cold winters, reduces the amounts of pests, and thus reduces the need for plant protection products. Together with Sweden’s strict cultivation rules, this means that the Swedish-grown fruits and vegetables that you eat before TCS Lidingöloppet do not contain any or very low levels of residual substances of plant protection products.

Safe and secure foods before race day Since Swedish food production has zero tolerance for for example salmonella and has the lowest use of antibiotics in animal husbandry in the EU, you can without worry prepare for TCS Lidingöloppet with Swedish meat, chicken, or a raw egg yolk on the frying pan.

Charge for the race with Swedish ingredients Locally grown food from Sweden has a shorter distance between cultivation and consumption compared with produce which has been transported from other parts of the world. It reduces waste and reduces the burden on the climate. So fill up with good energy and enjoy Swedish ingredients as you prepare for this year’s race!
