The embrace of hills running from Bibbona to Castagneto Carducci shields the vineyards and olive groves from north-easterly winds. In summer, this corridor is refreshed by sea breezes.
Sunlight luminosity reflects off the sea, illuminating the hills. The dense, untouched forests constitute an extraordinary natural lung and are recognised as Sites of Community Interest (SCI) under the European Natura 2000 directive. The Mediterranean scrub typical of these areas enhances the aromatic breadth of the grapes. This microclimate makes Tenuta San Guido unique.
