PRE-ARRIVAL CHECKLIST Make sure you have completed these before classes start. COMPLETE FINANCIAL CHECK-IN (FCI) • Log into ASIST at Liberty.edu/ASIST.
• Select “Student.” • Select “Financial Check-In.” A step-by-step guide is available at Liberty.edu/StudentAccounts.
SUBMIT FINAL TRANSCRIPTS • Turn in all final transcripts from previous schools (high school, community college, or 4-year institution). • Missing final transcripts will prevent registration. • Some transcripts can be sent to AdmissionsDocs@liberty.edu, but others must be mailed to the Admissions Office. REQUEST YOUR FLAMES PASS ID CARD Visit Liberty.edu/CampusServices to upload a photo for your Flames Pass. You can pick up your Flames Pass at ID & Campus Services in the Montview Student Union, Room 1720, or have it mailed to you before you arrive. Don’t forget to bring a government-issued photo ID when you pick up your Flames Pass.

FINAL STEPS RESIDENCE HALL CHECK-IN
ENROLLMENT ASSISTANCE
New students who have completed FCI and know their room assignment may check into their residence hall after noon on Aug. 22 and any time on Aug. 23. They will receive their room key from the resident assistant (RA). Representatives from Residence Life will be available. Students can verify their housing assignment through ASIST under “Housing.” PLEASE NOTE: No early arrivals are allowed except for specific, pre-approved groups. If you have questions, contact the Office of Residence Life at (434) 592-4139 or ResidenceLife@liberty.edu.
Enrollment Assistance provides help with enrollment requirements, including financial aid, Financial CheckIn, housing, and more. Please refer to your event schedule for Enrollment Assistance locations and times.
MEAL SCHEDULE The Food Court at Reber-Thomas will open at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 22, for new and transfer students. On Friday, Aug. 24, all dining options will open for returning students, and the dining halls will resume normal hours, which can be found at LibertyDining.com.

COURSE PL ACEMENT AND ASSESSMENTS COMPUTER ASSESSMENT Test your competency by taking the computer assessment. You will be notified when the assessment becomes available in Blackboard and may opt to take it at that time. If you don’t pass or don’t take the test during the time allotted, you’ll need to complete Information Technology (INFT) coursework. Passing the computer assessment, INFT 110/111, or a combination of the computer assessment and a 1-credit INFT course will satisfy the Technology Competency requirement as listed on your Degree Completion Plan. COLLEGE LEVEL EX AMINATION PROGR AM (CLEP) and the Institutional Challenge Examination (ICE) CLEP and ICE tests offer unique opportunities to gain college credit for knowledge already acquired. DEGREE PL ANNING AND COURSE SEQUENCING Schedule your courses according to the requirements for your intended major or interest area. DEGREE COMPLETION PLANS Visit Liberty.edu/DCPS to find Degree Completion Plans (which include suggested course sequences) for residential programs. You may also view your DCP audit electronically in ASIST. A full-time schedule is 12–18 credit hours. If you are undecided about your major, you should take general education and core competency courses.

Below are the steps to register for classes. View a detailed tutorial at LibertyU.com/Attend. Remember, class registration cannot begin until you have completed Financial Check-In as well as applicable Math and English Assessments.
Visit Liberty.edu and select “myLU” at the top of the page.
Enter your username and password to sign in. (If you do not have an account, you will be prompted to create one.)
Select “ASIST,” “Student,” and “Registration.”
Choose “Fall 2018” as the registration term and click “Look Up Courses.”
Choose “Fall 2018” and click “Submit.”
Once you have chosen
your desired subject, select “Course Search.”
Various classes will appear in the list. Choose the class you wish to enroll in by selecting “View Sections.”
Choose a class section and check the CRN box. Select “Register” at the bottom of the page. A “C” next to the CRN represents a closed class. You may still opt in to join a wait list.
Repeat steps to add additional classes until your schedule* is complete. * 1 2 credit hours indicates full-time status.
Be sure to choose classes with a building and room number listed in the “Location” column. Online classes, which are not open to residential students during their first semester at Liberty, have “DLP OFF” listed as the location.

Class Registration Instructions
FAMILY EDUCATIONAL RIGHTS AND PRIVACY ACT (FERPA) It is the policy of Liberty University, in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), to withhold personally identifiable information contained in our students’ educational records unless the student has consented to disclosure through Liberty’s FERPA Personal Identification Number (PIN) system. Directory information, which is not generally considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed, may be disclosed to the public. However, private information, such as grades, class schedules, the student’s account, and financial aid awards, may not be released without express consent from the student. Using Liberty’s FERPA PIN system, the student may grant permission to release some or all private information to persons whom he or she designates. For more information, visit Liberty.edu/FERPA.
To create a FERPA PIN: 1. Log into ASIST. 2. Select “General Information.” 3. Select “FERPA Personal Identification Number.” 4. Create a PIN.
TRANSFER STUDENTS Transfer students are advised to attend the Transfer Student Mixer on Monday, Aug. 27, from 7–9 p.m. If you have questions about transferring to Liberty, please visit Liberty.edu/Transfer. All students must take Christian Life & Thought classes as part of their education at Liberty. If you are transferring in more than 12 credits, please email your personal academic advisor regarding your schedule for the fall semester. Liberty offers three meal plans for students: Freedom Dining, Freedom Dining PLUS+, and 14 swipes per week (second semester juniors & seniors only). Both Freedom Dining plans offer unlimited access to Liberty’s main dining hall, The Food Court at Reber-Thomas. With either plan, you will also receive $200 per semester ($120 Dining Dollars and $80 Flames Cash). Both plans give you 10 swipes per week! The Freedom Dining plan’s swipes can be used at select locations on campus, while the Freedom Dining PLUS+ plan allows swipes at any location for select menu items. For students with food allergies, the Food Court also features the award-winning Simple Servings, which offers meals prepared without gluten or seven of the most common food allergens. Students who pay the health fee will receive quality medical services, health promotion, and preventative care through the Liberty University Student Health Center (LUSHC). Residential students have access to many services without incurring additional costs. MEDICAL CLINIC SERVICE OFFERINGS INCLUDE: • Physician, nurse practitioner, and physician's assistant office visits • In-office lab tests and diagnostics (including blood draws, EKGs, and basic X-rays)
• Annual physical checkups • Chronic disease management for asthma, diabetes, auto-immune disorders, and other long-term conditions
