International students must remain registered full time throughout the entire semester.

WHAT FULL-TIME ENROLLMENT MEANS FOR EACH LEVEL: Undergraduate — 12 credit hours (at least 9 residential) Graduate — 9 credit hours (at least 6 residential) Doctoral — 6 credit hours (at least 3 residential)

Please note that withdrawing from a course and receiving a Failure for Non-Attendance (FN) will impact international students' nonimmigrant student status if the withdrawal/ FN puts them below full-time enrollment.

Many international students have grown up in a different educational system, and it may take time for them to adjust to the U.S. system. If you see a student struggling, please refer them to the International Student Center (ISC). International students should not be referred to the Student Advocate Office for assistance.

International Students enrolled in an internship or practicum must receive Curricular Practical Training (CPT) authorization from the ISC.
