ABOUT THE LIVING CENTRE
Established in 1983, The Living Centre (TLC) has evolved into an eco-spiritual sanctuary, cultivating profound connections with nature and offering transformative programs rooted in environmental stewardship, human well-being, and the legacy for future generations.
Four decades ago, the landscape that holds The Living Centre was mostly barren, devoid of native grasses and trees. Under the careful stewardship of Lorenna and Shantree, TLC has emerged as a living testament to nature’s resilience and artistry, now proudly boasting the region’s highest recorded biodiversity.
TLC has evolved into a diverse ecological classroom, offering a range of in-person and online workshops, events, as well as certification and diploma courses. These educational opportunities allow students to immerse themselves in a living example of nature’s resilience and artistry, gaining valuable insights and skills for sustainable living and careers.
The foundation of TLC’s educational approach is holistic, blending insights from in-depth studies of nature, contemporary science, ancient traditions, and a profound inquiry into life’s mysteries. TLC remains committed to its mission of deepening connections with nature and is now broadening its scope to collaborate with external partners and event organizers.

The 50-acre poperty, located in the heart of the Carolinian bioregion, stands as a testament to the region’s remarkable biodiversity, surpassing that of any other Canadian bioregion.
The milder climate, extended summers, and reduced snowfall have provided an ideal environment for The Living Centre to cultivate a variety of landscapes.
These include expansive wild meadows, serene ponds, flourishing organic fruit orchards, vibrant gardens, and a captivating native plant medicine trail that guides you through the enchanting Carolinian forest.

EVENT AREAS THE LODGE
The Lodge is a beautiful indoor venue with a capacity for hosting events of up to 60 people. It is versatile and well-suited for various activities such as yoga sessions, lectures, meditations, movement classes, and more.
Comprising two distinct indoor areas separated by doors, The Lodge also features the greenhouse space that envelops the East and South sides of the building, adding an extra touch of beauty and functionality to the venue.

ACCOMMODATIONS THE CABINS
The property features 3 cabins: the Strawbale Cabin and the two Forest Cabins.
Each quaint and cozy cabin features a bunk bed and storage options. The bottom bunk is a double mattress, accommodating one or two people, while the top bunk is a single.
Each cabin is off-grid, so guests have access to the fully equipped outdoor kitchen, outdoor cedar shower, a washing area, and 4 outhouses on the property,.

THE FARMHOUSE
The farmhouse features 3 bedrooms with queen beds and two bathrooms. Farmhouse guests can use the farmhouse kitchen and living spaces.
