Everyone from the Carnegies to the Eatons has sought the seclusion of “the Muskokas”, bringing with them the opulence and style of the ages. Extended families spent the summers at grand resorts on rocky hilltops and created mansions of bark-stripped timbers and granite. The simple, relaxing culture of enjoying family and nature has continued to this day.

The Westview is a humble ode to the great estates of yesteryear. The post-and-beam cottage stands guard over a lakefront lawn; stone paths guide visitors through the woods; and the boathouse provides access to the water. Across generations, meticulous attention has been devoted to outfitting the accommodations, ensuring that every room exudes the timeless allure of Muskoka style. Guests can relish the enduring appeal of the cottage’s classic Muskoka charm, seamlessly complemented with modern amenities such as high-speed fibre internet.

TheWestview faces due west on a placid bay that provides a perfect balance between a broad sunset view and the notorious west winds. Dock with ease, bake in the windless sun, and enjoy the brilliant sunsets over the water.

THE COTTAGE

The charming five-bedroom cottage is the property’s main living space. It features a wraparound deck with a barbeque, outdoor dining, and a hot tub. Inside, there’s an open kitchen, spacious great room, full bathroom, and two bedrooms on the main floor.

The walkout bottom level includes a cozy living room, two more bedrooms, a convenient laundry room, and another full bathroom.

For added luxury, the loft area serves as a mini-master bedroom with a queen-size bed and private ensuite bathroom. The cottage offers various activities, from dining on the deck to fireside games and cozy movie nights, ensuring an unforgettable stay.

The upper level features a private one-bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor bar, sun deck, and covered living room. Down by the lake, you’ll find two boat slips and a covered dock with cushioned seating.

Leave your car keys behind and opt for a boat ride to reach the grocery store, LCBO, shopping destinations, or dine at local restaurants. The Water’s Edge, The Rosseau, Crossroads, Windermere Pub, and other establishments promise enjoyable and delectable nautical adventures.
