under a third GCSE results at Rishworth were with best possible grades from 9 – 7 (A* – A)
E attainments in Mathematics, English and Science e all above the national achievement rate with maths % higher, English 33% higher and science 26% higher
For the fifth consecutive year over 90% of grades were awarded at A* - C
Over a quarter of all A-Level results at Rishworth Sixth Form were with the best possible grades from A* - A In BTEC and vocational qualifications, a 100% pass rate with all grades being within the higher grading boundaries of Distinction* to Merit

LOCATION & TRANSPORT
LOCATION: Rishworth School is situated in the idyllic Yorkshire countryside town of Halifax, nestled away in the beautiful Ryburn Valley which offers beautiful views, scenic walks and quiet roads. Close by is the local village of Ripponden, comprised of coffee shops, grocery shops, barbers, medical services and much more
TRANSPORT: The closest motorway to Rishworth is the M62 which is around a 5 minutes’ drive from the school grounds This motorway connects us directly to the cities of Manchester and Leeds (both of which have international airports) with great motorway links to London and the rest of the country. The closest train station is Sowerby Bridge, which is located approximately 10 minutes by car. The local bus service has stops within a short walk to the school which will connect you to the local area Rishworth School has a recommended taxi service for our boarding students, which also offers airport transfers.
