Tabletop strategy and roleplaying games, suitable for beginners and experienced players alike. Members can use the time to build and paint their miniatures, play Warhammer against friends (for which you may need your own models), or create a character and join in one of the D&D campaigns (for which you only need your imagination!).

Lego Club

Do you have some clothes or other material goods at home that need fixing? Do you have some pieces of material that could be used to make something new? Come along to Make Do and Mend and let's use our sewing skills to see what we can fix or create!

Are you inspired to become the next Lego Master or do you just want to have fun being creative with Lego bricks? This club is for you! Open to students from Year 3-6, no-one is too old to have fun with Lego.

MONDAY Duke of Edinburgh - Bronze Y9 - 13

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a nationally accredited, highly recognised accolade. Students will participate in expedition training during this EE time, they will also need to complete 3-6 months volunteering, a skill and a physical challenge of their choice.

Driving Theory Y11 - 13 An opportunity to study for, and practise the multiple choice and hazard perception elements of the UK Driving Theory Test. Each of the 13 sessions will focus on a range of questions and answers from the official test.

Completing the theory test is compulsory prior to applying to take the practical driving test.

The official test is not completed as part of this enrichment activity.

Students will be informed of how to and when to book and pay for their test through their local test centre.

Rock Climbing NICAS Award Y7 - 13

Students will be taken to Summit-Up in Oldham each week to complete the rock-climbing NICAS Level 1 beginner or Level 2 intermediate awards.

Students will be instructed for an hour each week on how to climb safely using ropes. All students will receive a NICAS log book.

Higher Project Qualification Y10 - 11

The Higher Project Qualification (HPQ) is a standalone qualification, equivalent to half a GCSE, and can be taken by students in addition to their GCSE qualifications. The HPQ provides an exciting opportunity for students to develop and extend their understanding in an area of personal interest or to conduct research into subjects which may not be available as part of their other formal studies and as a stepping stone to the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). This term Y10 students will be continuing with their research into their projects. Y11 students will be completing their written reports and planning out their presentations.

Latin study for beginners and those with some prior experience. We follow the Cambridge Latin Course, which introduces the language through stories set in Pompeii.
