Celebrating A New School Year in Panther Nation Panther Nation, Wow! What a great ride we had last year.

Being a state semi-finalist in our first year competing in 5A was no easy task, especially in a pandemic year. The support from the community was amazing as you helped lift this team and community past the loss of legendary Coach Jeff Walker.

His spirit of toughness will live on through the leadership of our new head coach, Kent Walker, the players and coaching staff, and of course, you, the fans.

I am very excited about the new school year in Liberty Hill ISD and the privilege I have to lead and serve the students, staff, and community of Liberty Hill as your superintendent. The teachers and staff of Liberty Hill are deeply committed to providing your children with the very best education possible. We look forward to having all students back in school. Your child matters to us!

our goals. I want Liberty Hill to build students who are at the top academically, who exhibit strong leadership and character, and who have a heart for service. It is critical to every student’s success that they become connected, have positive role models, and graduate from high school with the mindset and skills necessary to be successful in the uncertain, but promising future that awaits them. This starts in kindergarten and builds in each grade.

I believe that public schools make a huge difference in the lives of our children and that the experiences they have to lead and be connected are just as important as the academic piece. I want Liberty Hill to be known not only for its academic excellence and extracurricular programs, but also for the positive and healthy educational environment of our classrooms and hallways, and the positive, character-building relationships between staff and students. I take very seriously the responsibility we have as educators to make a difference and I want all staff to be committed to give their very best day

in and day out.

Over the last two years, Liberty Hill ISD has engaged in the process to bring together the rich history and traditions of the past and continue to keep the small town feel and culture that make Liberty Hill ISD great.

BROTHERHOOD! A message from Kent Walker, LHISD Athletic Director

The Liberty Hill Athletic Department is excited to welcome everyone to the 2021-2022 school year. Last year was an extremely difficult year. The loss of our athletic director and head football coach at the end of November was absolutely heartbreaking for “ALL OF US.” It’s an honor for me to serve in the role as Athletic Director. Liberty Hill High School has had a rich tradition of both academic and athletic excellence. I am excited to be a part of this wonderful school district and community.

The Liberty Hill Athletic Department understands that athletics teaches young men and women valuable lessons and instills lifelong traits helping them to

realize their goals and prepare them for their future. Our coaches take a lot of pride in building lifelong champions.

Liberty Hill is a special place thanks to all of you. The support from our school board, superintendent, faculty, administrators, parents, and community members make our success at Liberty Hill possible. On behalf of the entire athletic program, we want to thank the parents for giving us the opportunity to be a part of their athletes’ lives.

I would like to thank everyone for your continued support of Liberty Hill Athletics and our student athletes. I believe in the value of high school sports and I will do my best to continue fostering a safe environment of hard work and success in our athletic program.

The school year of 2021-2022 is upon us and I am excited for the start of a great year. I am honored to work with the students, staff and community of Liberty Hill ISD to make this our most successful year yet. Hard work and determination are just a couple of the core values that Liberty Hill ISD implements every day and will push us to be the best.

As we move forward this year, our goal is to keep everyone safe and at the same time create memorable experiences that will last a lifetime for all students. A culture of excellence for all stakeholders will continue to also be our focus that will shape and mold what Liberty Hill High School stands for.

It is my sincere desire to provide the leadership that will facilitate a clear vision, as well as supporting students, faculty and the Liberty Hill community.

I commend all of our coaches, sponsors, student-athletes and performers for their daily efforts to compete at their highest level possible. We have set high goals for our students, both in the classroom and in the competition arena, with the knowledge that these daily challenges serve very favorably in the overall development of our capable

students and leaders of tomorrow.

Grady’s first year of organized football was in the 2nd grade. On the first day of practice, the head coach brought all the boys together and asked them what position did they want to play. All of the kids had very similar answers, Quarterback, Running Back or Wide Receiver. When he asked Grady what position he wanted to play, Grady said “TACKLER”. I knew right then that I was blessed with a football player!

His football journey has been nothing short of wonderful! Grady has had the opportunity to play with some fine young men and to be coached by some great leaders who share his passion for the sport.

Grady’s senior season is upon us. We couldn’t be prouder of Grady! Though, over the years, Grady evolved into a Running Back…he will always be my “TACKLER”. I was blessed with a football player!
