To give vulnerable, poverty-stricken, oppressed and socially excluded children the opportunity to grow up in a safe and caring environment, were they are nurtured, educated, encouraged, respected and loved.
VISIONMISSION
To improve the livelihood and wellbeing of Nepali children who are at risk of trafficking, abuse and neglect. This is done by providing holistic care, i.e. accommodation, education, nutrition, healthcare, and a supportive and secure environment for emotional development.
Message from LHFN'S President
Light House Foundation Nepal's 15-years road has been difficult, with hundreds of ups and downs, but the job completion has amazed myself and everyone around me. This year, we were able to present and publish the Annual Report in a more orderly manner.
Light House Foundation Nepal has been able to provide 682 children in need with essential basic needs such as education, health, and nutrition. And I hope that this group will continue to assist more worthy youngsters. All vulnerable children from various sections of Nepal, particularly the Chepang and Badi communities, were rescued and given Holistic care to help them become responsible citizens.
When I look back at these years of journey of unfolding work, I am very proud of and amazed by the support of our Government, compassionate staffs, all the International donors and supporters, beloved children and parents who invested and took their place at the center of this journey. Despite the challenges and difficulties that each of us faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are now standing still and working together to be a change in society, reaching out to communities and then the country.
Thank you everyone for the generosity, love, care and support.
Dinesh Kumar Sigdel
