Happy Spring 55 Plus Members,

February was fun-filled and fitness-focused! It is fantastic to see our fitness classes Stay Fit, Balance Awareness, ZUMBA Toning, ZUMBA Gold, and Yoga full of participants! We are grateful for our wonderful instructors who make these classes engaging. For those of you looking for another fitness class, the summer Water Workout class is now open for registration. February guest speaker Sally Duplantier gave us useful insights into getting a good night’s sleep. Dance instructor Lesley taught us to waltz. Our Great Getaway trip enjoyed hiking the coast in the sunshine and getting to see elephant seals up close during mating season. A second trip spent the day in Salinas to celebrate Steinbeck’s birthday. Hands on Art Participants created handmade pressed flower candles. Let’s keep the fun flowing into March.

This March, kick off the month and kick up your heels Line Dancing during our 55 Plus Social Dance. Join us for a just-for-fun social and slice on 3.14 to celebrate “pi”e day. Prize BINGO is back on the 22nd. A new session of Zumba and Yoga classes starts the week of the 26th. We are excited to announce an American Mah Jongg Tournament on the last Wednesday of the month. There is a $5 entrance fee, players will enjoy friendly competition over three rounds of three games to determine our winners. End the month making a spring wreath at Hands on Art. We are looking at revamping our Tech with Teens Programs – let the 55 Plus office know what tech topics you want to learn more about. Happy birthday to all our members born in March!

Sincerely,

P.S. Aurora loved meeting and visiting with so many of you, thank you for giving her a warm welcome!
