Happy July Members!

June member events focused on soaking up the sunshine at our first of two Boats & BBQ events at Vasona Boat House, playing Bocce in Saratoga, and working on our line dance footwork for a summer solstice social dance!

This summer we have plenty of classes to keep you moving and grooving! Our Water Workout classes are underway at the pool. Another opportunity to join popular ZUMBA Gold is open this summer on Wednesday evenings at 5:00PM (drop-ins for this class are only $5) and in August a Friday at 1:00PM class will start too! There will be no Yoga in July, but Angela will be back in August for Wednesday classes and a new trial offering of a FREE Seated Exercise for Ageless Training (SEAT) class from 8/4-8/22 on Mondays and Fridays at 1:00PM while WVC classes with Mary Ann are on summer break.

We have a local trip going to the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose and to San Pedro Market square for your choice of lunch on 7/18. We are using grant funding to help support this trip, so members can attend for only $30! There are also great opportunities to hear live music in Los Gatos so check out the community events on page 9.

Our main event in July is the Annual Senior Summer Picnic on 7/29! Did you know we have arranged a free shuttle to take you from Los Gatos to the Friendship Hall in Saratoga? RSVP for your bus seat; parking passes will be available in LG if needed. Our goal is to make this event as accessible as possible for members and the location this year will provide indoor/outdoor seating, better washroom access, and a dedicated parking lot for the event. Be sure to register for your $5 ticket and select your choice of hamburger, portobello mushroom or turkey burger from Los Gatos meats. This event includes live music by Cook’N Fenny too! We are incredibly grateful for sponsorship and support from local community groups: Vasona Creek Healthcare, Los Gatos Thrives Foundation, Hand N’ Hand Senior Placement, Renewal by Anderson & Heart and Mind Activity Center. See you there!
