Remembering June Greer

IN GRATITUDE FOR 34 YEARS OF SERVICE TO URSULINE.

On March 7, 2024, the Ursuline community lost June Greer, a beloved coach, teacher and friend.

Born in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, June was a beacon of dedication, love, and excellence throughout her life. Dedicating 34 remarkable years to teaching and coaching at Ursuline Academy, she touched the lives of countless young women, empowering them to reach their fullest potential. Her passion for sports, especially volleyball, was unmatched, leaving a legacy of strength, teamwork, and perseverance.

Beloved wife to Greg M. Greer, devoted mother to Dane M. Greer, and a dear member of a loving family, June’s spirit of joy, competitive nature, and deep faith have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her contributions to our community, love for golf, unwavering support for her family and faith in the face of adversity are inspirations to us all.

June is now at peace, leaving us with memories that will forever inspire and comfort us. Please join us as we bid farewell to a truly remarkable soul whose light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched.

Playing volleyball for Coach for four years at Ursuline are some of my best memories of high school. She was an inspiration and one I could turn to for advice. I am thankful to have had her as a coach and teacher.

In remembrance of June’s spirited battle and her compassionate heart, Ursuline Academy was honored to announce that June’s legacy will live on through the establishment of the June Greer Endowed Scholarship.

This generous gift, made in memory of June by the Greer Family, will be used to benefit future students at Ursuline Academy, and began benefiting students in the 2024-2025 school year.
