A LETTER FROM THE

President

Ms. Peggy Slater

Our theme for this year, “Together in Heart,” was meant as a reminder and rallying call as the pandemic wore on and we worked to ensure that Ursuline Academy would continue to be the place where young women “discover the power within,” and that we could and would do it together, as a community. The following pages reflect the nonstop efforts of our students, co-workers, families, and donors to ensure that Ursuline Academy continues to achieve its mission fully in the spirit of St. Angela. We can all be proud of the Bears’ many successes on the field and courts, in the classroom, on the stage, and in the agencies where Serviam was in action.

As we reflect on the year, two special occasions merit mention. Ursuline Academy made history when alumna Theresa Kaiser ’07 led the soccer Bears to a State Championship! The team showed persistence, strength, and sportsmanship and our community showed up to support them all along the way. This victory, along with advances made by several of our teams, puts Ursuline on the map in a new and exciting way.

And our sadness at the passing of Mrs. Thelma Hartnett is exceeded only by gratitude for the tremendous good fortune of having had her among us as teacher, co-worker, cheerleader, role model, and inspiration. She left each of us with warm and humorous memories while also leaving us with her high expectations that each of us support Ursuline Academy in both words and actions.

Personally, she left me with a road map for becoming the 100-year-old woman I hope to be.

St. Angela teaches us that “the more united you are, the more Jesus Christ will be in your midst.” Her words became real this year as the Ursuline Academy community responded to challenges big and small, sometimes from a distance, but always together at heart.

1) Welcome Home! Though the year started off different than most, the Viaggio Leaders worked hard to keep the same spirit typically held on Community day. They organized a special welcome for each class back on their first day, and made sure each girl started the year with a smile.

2) Bella Ott ’23 was featured on City Corner, a current events program that airs on STL TV and interviewed by Sarah Thompson about her service work sewing masks. From the start of the pandemic into the summer, Bella was able to sew 65+ masks earning her nearly 45 hours of service.

3) Academic Excellence. In the fall, via a

live-streamed ceremony, 37 students were inducted into the Ursuline chapter of the National Honors Society.

4) This year’s fall production, “Patchwork,”

crafted a performance that ticked all the boxes and was able to be shown and enjoyed by a limited audience. The lineup of scenes in many ways told a tale of nostalgia. It showcased memorable pieces from some previous Ursuline productions, as well as snippets of scenes from other works sparking laughter, tears, and tenderness.

Each scene featured a single student or a pair so that they could be socially distanced, and included monologues and musical numbers. While it was perhaps not the show envisioned in the spring, it was a performance for the time, created from love.

5) Mr. Mark Bratkowski’s junior English classes had the opportunity to have a virtual discussion with junior classes at Brescia House in Bryanston (Johannesburg suburb), South Africa. Students participated in a nearly hour-long conversation and compared their everyday experiences, government structures, and how their countries were handling the pandemic. By being able to share in a dialog students were able to not only talk about their own worldview but also ask questions of each other to gain new perspectives.

This year Emily Dacus ’22, Josie Broun ’22, Kit Michalski ’22, Ella Meier ’22 and Spring Zhou ’22 participated in Youth Leadership St. Louis. The purpose of YLSL is to develop leadership skills, promote teamwork among diverse groups and provide a deeper understanding of the St. Louis region.

6) Leading by Attitude and Action. This

year we introduced our House System and officially welcomed our students and staff to build community spirit, promote unity, and create new traditions. The house captains have named the houses after our Ursuline values: Servizio, Cortesia, Lealtà, Coraggio. Eight seniors were appointed as House Captains, and then led the school throughout the year in spirit and community.

7) Changing with the Times. Ursuline faculty and staff worked hard to adapt a number of Ursuline traditions into a COVID world.

A number of masses, events - including Freshman Induction- took place outside to safely be celebrated.

8) The Masked Singer Assembly. As a part of Giving Tuesday, Project U.S.S. the Ursuline Student Scholarship committee, collectively raised nearly $2,000 for their fellow students.

9) Double the Fun. Our House Captains

created an adapted Spirit week in the fall for the hybrid schedule, complete with themes and class colors. Then in the spring, as guidelines lightened, senior leadership celebrated their spirit with the whole school community.

10) Christmas Cheer. This year students

and staff at UA filled 500 Christmas Bags for Metrovision Ministries! These Christmas Bags were distributed to those experiencing poverty in St. Louis City/County, and Jefferson County.

close out the school year, our freshmen and sophomore classes were surprised with a special day. They started the day by reflecting on the past school year and setting some goals for themselves for next year. Then they headed off to the City Museum for a day of play!

This year, we were thrilled to award Ava Elking ’23 (right), who was nominated by her little, Kaili Hebrank ’24 (left), with the Big Sister Mentor Award.

13) Shelby Mead ’21 was selected for the 2021 Missouri Scholars 100, a statewide program that honors 100 of Missouri’s top academic students in the graduating class of 2021.

Maggie Naeger ’21, was Ursuline Academy’s recipient of the “Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Model of Justice Award.”

Emma Weston ’21 was recognized as Ursuline Academy’s recipient of the 2021 Archbishop May Service Award!

14) Global Citizenship. This summer Ursuline welcomed 60+ 7th and 8th grade students to explore different cultures with UA students and staff at our first ever Global Explorers Camp. Campers played ice breakers, discussed what it means to have global awareness, took a Samba dance lesson, made brigadeiros (a traditional Brazilian dessert) had the opportunity to participate in a virtual culture exchange with our sister school in South Africa, and more!

18) Every Lit Bit Counts. In our first year partnering with the Little Bit Foundation, students collected 3,500+ hygiene items over SPLASH week. These items were organized and turned into hygiene kits and donated.

19) Dancing through Life. We were so grateful to be able to host our Spring Dance Recital and showcase the 16 performances from our dance classes and clubs.

Service Throughout the Pandemic. With a re-design of the Junior Service project, an accommodation of required service hours, and connection to new agencies which offered virtual options, for the 2020-2021 school year the student body completed a total of 21,384 hours of community service.

MAKING URSULINE

History

For the first time in the history of Ursuline Academy St. Louis, the Varsity Soccer team earned the title of State Champions!

On Saturday, June 5th, the team made school history, with a 2-0 victory against St. Charles for the Class 2 Championship. Both goals were made by #25 Meghan Belrose in the 36th and 79th minutes. The team came out strong, controlling play throughout much of their time in the final four. Like a welloiled machine, the Bears were strong and intentional in defense, but were especially so in their offense. The Bears, having had a season of (13-6-1) claimed the state title in the school’s third trip to the final four, previously playing in 2004 and 2011.

In addition to the high praise and media, there were also several members of the team who were announced to the MWAA All Conference Team.

In addition to an incredible soccer season, the Ursuline Athletic program saw an overall historic season with a number of impressive accolades. Our Athletic Director of 25+ years, Mrs. Jen Brooks was awarded the Athletic Director of the Year in Missouri by the Missouri Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. Jen is the second woman to win this recognition in the awards 47 years (top left). Kiera Dunne ’21 was selected as the State of Missouri’s Class 2 Soccer Player of the Year (top middle) and Head Coach Theresa Kaiser ’07 was named the State Coach of the Year (top right)! Joe Gleich and Joan Wuschke Gleich ’68 Supporting the Bearbotics Team

Joe Gleich and Joan Wuschke Gleich share a passion for educating young women. A graduate from the class of 1968, Joan attended Ursuline following the same educational path as her two older sisters.

“Ursuline always said our education would prepare us for college and so it did!” Joan went on to graduate from Washington University St. Louis and earned a masters from the University of Illinois.

Joan believes that a strong education opens the right doors and that’s where the real work starts. She should know, as a CPA in Missouri and Illinois, Joan worked in Public Accounting for the early part of her career, then managed a large law firm for 30 years including serving as COO. Joe served as an educator and administrator at St. Louis Priory for decades. There he saw first hand the strong impact that programs like robotics can have on young minds.

The Bearbotics, Ursuline’s Robotics team, offers a wonderful intersection of educating young women and developing programs in the area of sciences and technology. The Gleichs continue to support the robotics program through their philanthropy. “Science and technology skills are essential and we like to see the students succeed in these areas.” Through donations from the Gleichs and other donors, the robotics team is able to travel to competitions, invest in high end equipment and use specialized computer programming software. The Gleichs have been able to visit a few robotics practices to see their philanthropy in action and meet the students who have benefited from their generosity. Ursuline Academy and our students are continually grateful for the Gleich’s investment in the minds of young women.

Now in retirement, Joe and Joan are the “parents” of a totally adorable Labrador Retriever.

When it came to planning and partaking in an Auction fundraiser to benefit our Ursuline students, we did just that. The 2021 Ursuline Gala of Games took place virtually, celebrating our mission and stories of the power of student scholarships.

On March 6, 2021, our Ursuline community came out and showed their support in numerous and generous ways. Parents, alumnae, and friends tuned in to our Virtual Gala from all across the United States to play games, bid on auction items, and celebrate Ursuline. Through these examples of generous support, many of our families can continue to experience all the benefits of being a part of our Ursuline community. Currently, 38% of students receive some form of tuition assistance. Your support of the Academy is indicative of what it truly means to live out Serviam.

It was only a short while ago...

In the 2020-2021 School year, the Admissions process looked quite different. Unable to host traditional in-person experiences the Admissions Team and co-workers worked together on a number of alternative virtual experiences that showcased the Ursuline spirit in a new way.

It was so important to still celebrate and truly welcome the Class of 2025, who had limited opportunities to experience the UA community, so UA brought the celebration to them. The “Celebration Day” tradition was converted to a “Welcome to UA” parade!

Each girl was welcomed via a personal spirit team and a goodie bag delivery to her home.

The fun and celebrations didn’t stop there. On their placement testing day, Ursuline held a light brunch with Bear Den shopping and photo ops with Ursa to share in the growing anticipation. The Bear Moms sponsored another fun morning in April for our new Bears to meet, socialize, learn more about the transition to high school, and even get early practice of the school song.

In the summer months, as more outdoor activities were able to take place, the Class of 2025 enjoyed a sisterhood excursion. They spent the morning running all over Forest Park competing in a scavenger hunt taking them from the Art Museum to the Zoo and everywhere in between! The spirit felt by these young ladies is a testament to the Ursuline sisterhood, and we are excited for all the ways they will continue to grow in it throughout the 2021-2022 school year.

Through this past year, I have seen how well we are able to adapt and make the most of any situation. Covid really threw us for a loop, and we persevered together because we had to. We didn’t have a choice, we only had one chance to make the most of our senior year, and we did. Despite the losses we faced, we made it through the challenges together.

We depended on each other and supported each other. I could not be more proud to be a part of the class of 2021.

VALUABLE A Freshman to Watch from the Class of 2006: Bridget Walsh Moore ’06, who currently is serving as representative for St. Louis County (District 93) in the Missouri House of Representatives was named a Freshman to Watch by The Missouri Times. She was elected to her first two-year term in November 2020. In her feature, Bridget said she is most passionate about giving a voice to the overlooked.

Nearing the end of her first year served, she sponsored a number of bills aimed at improving the employment experience for persons with disabilities.

Connections

In Gratitude for our Catholic Educators As part of Catholic Schools Week, Ursuline made some surprise stops at local Catholic grade schools to gift Ursuline alumnae who are working in education with some UA swag. Mugs just perfect for some hot chocolate aimed to warm the hearts of our alumnae educators, especially after working through the COVID-19 pandemic. Catholic Schools Week has traditionally been held during the last week in January. In total, Ursuline delivered 60+ mugs to alumnae in the St. Louis area.

Alive Through the Sound of Music.

As part of the memorial service for Mr. Neal Frederiksen, a number of alumnae spanning many Ursuline choral performances gathered together to rehearse and sing the musical parts of Mr. Fred’s service, conducted by Mr. Jay Harkey and Mrs. Margaret Mager - a past UA parent who accompanied Mr. Fred during concerts for about 10 years in the 2000s. It was truly a special moment to witness them coming together and blending so beautifully in song. The alumnae choir was made up of: Katie McCoy Boyer ’10, Ashley Krone ’09, Kristen Halm ’00, Danielle Wohlstadter ’15, Kathleen McGovern Govero ’01, Amanda Winslow ’05, Anna Agniel Bushlack ’99, Courtney Lydic ’01, Brittany Moleski ’14, Jennifer Fessler McClure ’99, Anne Marie Kramer Flanagan ’01, Kelly Paige ’09 and Nadia Kulisek ’13.

Wine and Cheers! In early January, the Alumnae Association held a wine virtual wine tasting night in lieu of what were previously in-person wine nights. Christy Rayfield '97 moderated a conversation with Jill Russell of Cambria Estate Winery about being a female winemaker, working with a female-run company, sustainable winemaking, California’s Central Coast and so much more! It was a great night!

Sinclair School of Nursing Update Colleen McGovern Allen ’12 shared an update that she recently earned the Charles and Josie Smith Sinclair Perpetual Fund scholarship for the Sinclair School of Nursing (at Mizzou) to continue her education for her Doctoral degree in nursing. She’s excited to receive this scholarship and be able to continue her work in her nursing career. Colleen currently works in an ICU in the Kansas City, MO area. Ursuline instilled a love of life-long learning and Serviam - and to be able to combine the two to make a fulfilling career is just icing on top of the cake for her! Colleen previously attended the University of Missouri and earned her BS in Nursing and her BS in Human Development and Family Sciences. She is on track to graduate with her Doctoral of Nursing Practice in Adult Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist in 2024.

Creative Connections. Emmy Geraghty ’09 (right) has been living and working in the video industry in New York for eight years.

Back in February, she started her own video production company called “Geraghty Creative.” She connected with Casey Doherty ’16 (left) via our UA Valuable connections Facebook group, they got to know each other better, and now Casey works as Emmy’s assistant editor/production assistant! Since launching they’ve worked on a number of projects, including working with other UA alumnae in both NYC and in St. Louis. Celebrating our 2020 Alumnae “Together in Spirit” Days!

From Doha, Qatar to Denver, Colorado - from Alaska to Aberdeen Heights Senior Living, Ursuline alumnae locally and globally were able to celebrate Ursuline school spirit as St. Angela invites us to “Remain in harmony, united together, all of one heart and one will,” despite COVID-19 keeping them apart.

Our Alumnae Spirit celebrations kicked off on rainy Saturday, October 3. Despite the dreary weather, it was a lovely day for a car parade composed of over 100 cars. The parade began with the Class of 1970, followed by an estimated 250-300 people either walking or riding along; the parade included a classic red car, a Trolley with all the bells and whistles, and Corvette with the class of 1977’s Penny Queen inside! All of which to celebrate our own Thelma Hartnett’s 100th Birthday. UA alums and students from 1949 - 2024, represented Kirkwood to Texas. Alumnae-owned businesses set the stage: Weinhardt Party Rentals provided the Birthday Queen’s throne and Party Pop Balloons created a beautiful balloon arch backdrop on the front steps. Campus looked festive with 100 birthday candles in the front lawn, SUVs decked out with Teddy Bears and signs - and lots of cards with gifts for scholarships included - per Mrs. Hartnett’s request.

Thelma also received an official congratulations from the Mayor of Kirkwood and Representative Deb Lavender presented Thelma with a personalized birthday proclamation as well as a Kirkwood police escort.

Though spread out, many alumnae and friends found ways to celebrate each other and Ursuline all in one. Participants in Thelma’s birthday parade used the outdoor gathering as a way to be together and make the most of celebrating their reunions. The first annual Cake Walk/Bear Walk was a success with walkers participating around the country and the globe. For those who were unable to join in the festivities, but still local to the St. Louis area, the Alumnae Association and volunteers made special deliveries of pumpkins and treats to celebrate the season and to spark conversations of connection and memories.

Between registrations, gifts, special deliveries, a virtual Memorial Mass, Women in Serviam Awardees, social media sharing, and even UA plaid face masks we were so glad that so many were able to celebrate Ursuline’s Together In Spirit Days together!

In 2020, due to the pandemic, Ursuline Academy Alumnae Association chose to give a special award to take the place of the annual Distinguished Alumna Award and Young Alumna Serviam Award. We have been flooded by the countless acts of Serviam, big and small, and we believe all should be recognized for the service and love that has been shown to communities, near and far.

The Women in Serviam Pandemic 2020 Award was given to alumnae who have served in various ways through the pandemic (healthcare workers, teachers, essential workers, etc). They were nominated by their classmates, friends, and family, for their dedication and work for others during uncertain times.

Alumnae stories of class connections and community admist the COVID-19 pandemic

, Julie Stein 83

In July 2020, Julie Stein ’83, let her Ursuline sisters know that her brain cancer had returned and they loyally responded. Throughout her illness, the class organized a special Hat Party, visits, meals, cards, calls, posters, and most importantly, prayerful support. While some members of the class were able to arrange their last visit just six days before she went to heaven, the class hosted an Ursuline love-filled parade and prayer vigil, while others joined in the Divine Mercy Chaplet from their homes all over the country. Through their class Facebook page, Eileen Mullally Sansoucie was able to gather Julie’s family and the Class of 1983 at Ursuline for a memorial prayer service on April 25, 2021. Staring memories, prayers and song, their tribute culminated with the dedication of a new Magnolia tree on Ursuline’s front campus in Julie’s memory.

“Here we are 40+ years since we all started together at Ursuline. Back then I never imagined then that the “girls” I’m going to spend the next four years with are going to become such an important part of my future.

Some of us may never even have had a conversation in those four years, or even made any effort to get to know each other. In these past few years since LOL (Ladies of Leisure gatherings) and Facebook, we have made such a connection with each other that is amazing! The bonds we have created and the support that we have given each other can only be credited to us being kind, generous, empowered, beautiful, spiritual, humble, and so strong women! Julie may not realize this, but I think she does. She brought us all back together and brought out our talents, gifts, spirit, and strength in support of each other. 83 Strong!”

, Annie Curran 95 Annie Curran, UA 1995, was in a serious car accident the summer after graduation. The accident left her totally dependent on her parents for care and mentally stuck in her teenage years. Annie’s father is deceased and her mother is in her 80’s now and on a fixed income. Money for Annie’s care is tight.

Maureen McCaffery Montgomery (also UA 95) has been friends with Annie since their days at UA. She visits Annie every other week. She started a fundraiser in her class Facebook page. Collectively, the class of 1995 raised over $1500 in under 24 hours!! The comments on sisterhood, UA all the way, Serviam and Never Say Goodbye have brought tears to her eyes and joy to her heart.

In a time when we are facing economic uncertainty and people have their own families and bills, this group came together to honor a classmate whom most have not seen in 25 years. Clearly, she made an impact on our lives and the spirit of Serviam is alive in the class of 1995.

Remembering Neal Frederiksen 1948-2021 Written by: Leah Renaud Folk ’11

Mr. Neal Frederiksen, though himself a man of many words, is a man whom I find difficult to summarize in so few. Though I have now returned to Ursuline as a co-worker, prior to that I was a student of Mr. Fred for four years in choir. Though I didn’t have the opportunity to work with Mr. Fred as a coworker, over these past several months, a number of those who had have shared stories and memories of working with him, and those stories and memories have brought me comfort hearing that the Mr. Fred we knew as students echoed the co-worker experience as well. Of Neal, it was shared that, “he gave of his time and talent with endless energy and grace. He always strived for excellence...in himself and in his students. He was a man who lived by his principles, and he whole-heartedly embraced the Ursuline motto of Serviam.”

Looking back on my time in Mr. Fred’s classroom, he was everything great about an outstanding educator and then some. He was personable and persistent, having high expectations of his students. However, he also knew how to really work with us to pull our best out of us, with overexaggerated facial expressions and corny acting and all.

Mr. Fred’s classroom was a special place for a number of us because you knew where you stood with him. It was a time and place to let go of some of the stresses of high school, and replace it with the many ways of how to stress the letter “T” or “S” while singing. It was really just a special place to be as a student. He managed to balance being both funny and serious, and though his jokes and stories may have been reused over and over again on each class, he was able to create a truly memorable and lasting impact on each of his students, and on Ursuline Academy as a whole over his many years here.

St. Angela, the foundress of the Company of St. Ursula, invited people to “build community wherever they were.”

It was known for Mr. Fred to sit in a room and start playing piano, and pretty soon that community would gather around him. He was a natural at making people feel welcomed, encouraged, and empowered. Likewise, he will always be at the center of some of my favorite Ursuline memories and takeaways, and I know I am not alone in that sentiment. So as we share memories and stories that back in the classroom may have had us all endearingly rolling our eyes, I hope that we may all find comfort and peace, and a reminder of how his life, his presence, and his music have shaped us all.

A LEGACY OF

Serviam Remembering Thelma Hartnett 1920-2021 Written by: Katie Balek Kempf ’01

After 56 years at Ursuline Academy, first as a teacher and then through the Alumnae Office, Mrs. Thelma Hartnett went home to the Lord on June 8, 2021 surrounded by her family. We are so thankful for the many alumnae and coworkers who looked after Thelma through her final months.

She knew how truly blessed her life had been and was grateful to be God’s humble servant. Her family and friends remembered her in a memorial service in July at her church.

“From her family in Arkansas, in her marriage to Godfrey, in her membership in Emmanuel, and in her community at Ursuline, somehow Thelma learned to be grateful for what she had, and not focus on what she lacked. And her ability to be grateful empowered her to be positive, brave and generous. She received blessings, and knew that the best thing to do with them was to share them with others. And we who saw that example, and received those gifts, might best remember and honor her by recognizing, because of all

that Thelma offered, how lucky and blessed we have been as well.”

Mrs. Hartnett’s legacy lives on through every stroke of the keyboard thousands of alumnae press everyday, their eyes always on the copy. Through short-hand grocery lists, checkbook balancing and wise investing. Through the laughter and reminiscing of high school memories. Reaching into the future, through her inspiring love for Ursuline students of today and tomorrow, through the scholarship dollars she raised and through the new building to which she lent her name in 2017, Hartnett Hall.

The family of Mrs. Hartnett began the Thelma Hartnett Scholarship Fund in honor of her 100th birthday in 2020 and its first recipients will be awarded next school year.

Thelma said years ago of endowing a scholarship, “I’d always dreamed of doing something like this, but I never really expected it to happen. Education is so important.

Learning enriches people’s lives and gives them the confidence to accomplish their goals; it’s something that can never be taken away.”

We joined together on Oct. 2 during Alumnae Spirit Days on campus to bless and dedicate a Catalpa tree near Hartnett Hall along Monroe Avenue in her memory. The Catalpa tree’s heartshaped leaves were said to be a symbol of Thelma’s love for Ursuline.

During the blessing, a hummingbird swooped down from Hartnett Hall to visit the ceremony and awed those in attendance.

I’ll never forget her coming to every theater production, front and center with a big smile on her face. She hugged me every time she saw me and we always talked about our love for Mamma Mia. She lived a beautiful life.

Maria Alonso-Cummins ’77 She has written on the tapestry of who I am today. I am grateful for her faith-filled service in educating teenage girls and great example to all of those she has touched.

May her eternal light shine through us all.

Shaun Karleskint ’81 What a wonderful, aspiring women. Her dedication to Ursuline was amazing, the definition of Serviam. She was my typing teacher at UA. I remember telling her, I don’t think I will ever use this class after school, I am going to be a nurse.....she just said” You never know” She was right. I am working today and typing my notes to the doctors.

She was so kind to me when father passed away. May she rest with her good friend Marie Sherman.

Jayne Wilhelm ’75 She was an inspiration to so many of us. I will never forget my days in her classroom.

What an amazing woman; what an amazing example; what an amazing life. Rest In Peace with your beloved husband. You will be missed.

Natalie Wehking ’80 I think the most rewarding thing for me was to give back to Thelma, at the age of 100. I gave her a real haircut and her first manicure/pedicure. She was like a little kid and she called her kids to tell them, and told everyone who came over for the next month. Thank you, Thelma, for letting me bring you that joy!

The schools, on average, see just 10% of their alumnae contribute financially in any given year.

Each school has a common goal to increase their percentage of alumnae support.

“Bragging rights are up for grabs, but we are ultimately inviting our collective alumnae to join us in choosing unity over competition for this challenge,” said Katie Balek Kempf ’01, Alumnae Relations Coordinator at Ursuline.

“We are rooted in different charisms, but we remain overwhelmingly more united than we are different in our work, to provide life-changing educational experiences for the young women we serve.”

Katie worked to organize the challenge with representatives from eight schools in St. Louis, after hearing of the united alumnae efforts from other Ursuline schools in Louisville and Cincinnati.

In it’s first year, the results of this annual giving campaign were outstanding! It was a major success due to the incredible support shown by our alumnae. We had great results that will greatly benefit our UA Bears!

In four days, 470 Ursuline alumnae raised $32,268 for student scholarships-the second highest amount raised by any of the participating schools! We saw participation from both long and first-time supporters, showcasing a legacy of Ursuline spirit.

We are so grateful to everyone who gave, shared, texted a friend, and rallied behind the campaign. We’re looking forward to the future of GSU, and the future good to come from it!

You can give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to Ursuline Academy without having to pay income taxes.

Your gift will be put to use today, allowing you to see its impact on today’s students. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions. If you have not yet taken the required minimum distribution for the year, your IRA charitable rollover gift can satisfy all or part of that requirement.

A Gift of Stocks Gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds, or other securities will generate a tax deduction based on the value of the security on the date of the gift. This event is hosted by the Ursuline Academy Alumnae Association.

March 5, 2022 --- Ursuline Soirée The annual auction is Ursuline’s most important fundraising event of the school year. All proceeds benefit the Ursuline Fund, directly impacting the greatest needs of our Ursuline students. As we are inspired by St. Angela and her devotion to the education of young women for Christian living and leadership, we look at this time as our opportunity to support her legacy.
