A Letter from the President

Ms. Peggy Slater

It’s been six months since I joined Ursuline Academy as president. I struggle to fi nd words that express my gratitude for the tremendously warm welcome that I have received and the endless support of Ursuline parents, students, alumnae, faculty, and staff . It’s a unique opportunity to witness all that goes into creating the Ursuline experience for our students and then to see these young women grab the opportunities before them with enthusiasm, joy, and genuine care for others.

My attention is focused on three priorities: 1) to assure that current students leave Ursuline well prepared academically and well centered personally and spiritually, 2) to increase the number of young women served by the Ursuline mission, and 3) to generate the funding needed for long term sustainability.

I see exciting changes throughout the building: facility enhancements, technology-based learning, a more user-friendly freshman application process, and so much more. We are continuing to streamline communications and working to articulate our needs for the future.
