with you this quarter. We are also incredibly proud to recognise a major milestone for our team, having been awarded the 2025 Sales Dealer of the Year. This achievement reflects the dedication, consistency, and customer-first mindset of our team, and we sincerely thank our guests for their continued trust and support. The last few years haven’t been without their challenges. A glute injury, facial surgery, recurring shoulder problems and a concussion saw Stephen play just 25 games in the past two seasons. “The frustration from last year has fuelled my off-season and preseason to change it up and do a few different things,” he says. “I’ve always worked hard but I’ve put more time and effort into looking after my body and mind. Overcoming injuries is one of the most difficult things mentally and physically. It was important to me to come back stronger, and I feel like I did that over the summer and I’m looking forward to the season.” Stephen has morale in spades and has never lost sight of the fact that he’s playing the game he once dreamed about as a kid, only now, it’s his profession and the stakes are a little higher than there were in the backyard. “The pressure, attention and expectations that come with the game are just part of it,” he says. “Things are obviously a lot easier when you’re winning but you’ve got to make your environment as fun and enjoyable as you can. A lot of my advice when I talk to younger players is to enjoy the good moments and when it comes to the bad times, take the lessons, move on, find balance and make sure you’re ready for the next challenge.”

Leadership isn’t new territory for Stephen, as former Captain, now Vice-captain, mentoring is as much a part of the role as connecting plays and winning stoppages. “We’ve got some exceptional young guys on the team who are eager to learn as well as older guys who are happy to pass that knowledge on, so it’s a good mix of youth and experience,” he says. “Guidance, words of wisdom and whatnot have

As a native of Perth, Stephen represented Western Australia in the 2026 AAMI AFL Origin match held on 14 February at Optus Stadium. “To play for Western Australia against Victoria was a massive thrill in my hometown,” he says. “It was an exciting week and now my focus is on the rest of the season with the Giants. Injuries can certainly put things into perspective, and it can be frustrating, especially when my team needs me to be out there and being in a position to contribute again is what’s important.” Now, Stephen is simply enjoying playing again and he’s not taking a single moment for granted. “Game days come with a sense of excitement and appreciation,” he says. “Whether the crowd is cheering or booing, when I walk out onto the field, I always take it in and find focus and balance.”

The Lexus LX Hybrid may have only landed in showrooms a few months ago, but it’s already turning heads and driving serious demand. And it’s no surprise; there’s more than one reason people are eager to get behind the wheel of Lexus’ flagship SUV. “For the discerning buyer who has the need or want for a luxury four-wheel drive, this is it,” says Lexus of Parramatta New Car Sales Consultant Ben Brannen. “It’s the king of Lexus four-wheel drives and it’s been massively popular.” More powerful and efficient, the Lexus LX Hybrid has a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6, plus a high output electric motor producing 305kW to 341kW paired with 10-speed automatic transmission. The third quarter of 2026 is shaping up to be a defining one for Lexus, with the brand set to launch two new battery-electric models poised to propel the industry forward and once again shift expectations. Leading the release is the updated All-Electric RZ alongside the All-New Lexus ES, arriving in May, signalling where electrified technology is headed. Set to arrive in local showrooms in July, the All-New ES will be available in two variants, battery-electric and hybrid-electric. et in the suburban shops in Canberra’s inner north, Pilot is a restaurant based around tasting menus that are
part fun, part nostalgia and entirely delicious. Laid-back, an intimate setting that accommodates 24 and service that treats you like an old friend, this dining experience has all the right ingredients.
The term ‘culinary delight’ might take new meaning here. Because Pilot restaurant, is anything but traditional or ordinary. It was at another nearby venue where Dash Rumble, Malcolm Hanslow and Ross Mcquinn met. The trio, having worked well with one another, went on to establish Pilot in September of 2018. “We believed we had something to add to the culture and dining scene of the city,” says Dash. “We wanted to take all the things we had learnt from our experience in Sydney and Canberra, both as diners and employees, and create a venue that we would want to visit, a true expression of us.” While Pilot might not boast a picturesque view or over-the-top décor, what it does have is youthful energy, a flair for individuality and a genuine appreciation for the finer things.

“We were very young when we first opened Pilot and that we did it ourselves has enabled us to create, learn, grow and evolve every day,” says Dash. “As a collective, we really like nice things, we’re happy to pay for quality and we can because we don’t have investors.” And while the venue is limited by space, it’s not limited by creative potential. “Pilot is a small space, so we have to think creatively with everything we do,” says Dash.

Guests have the option to order drinks À La Carte style or select from one of three pairings: an in-house non-alcoholic option, a homegrown alcoholic option or the best of both, a combination of the two. “The cocktail and non-alcoholic program is curated by Tom Opie, who uses his knowledge of fermentation to create drinks from native Australian ingredients, local produce and off cuts that would otherwise be considered waste,” says Dash. “We always try to push our guests into trying something they haven’t before.” It’s not a traditional style of dining but Pilot restaurant will step up the flavours, put a twist on dishes you thought you knew and challenge your palate. “The most important thing for us is that diners enjoy themselves,” says Dash. “Above all, we want everything we offer to be delicious and comfortable while pushing them ever so slightly out of their comfort zone.
