Making Friends

When I see kids I do not know, I can try to be their friend.

I walk up to them but I am sure to leave enough space between us.

I might be nervous and that is okay. I will take a deep breath.

I tell them my name, and ask them what theirs is.

After they tell me I will ask them a question about themselves.

I could ask them what their favorite toy is or what they like to play.

I will listen to their answer, and respond.

Maybe I will ask them to play a game with me.

I will try to find something that we both like to do.

I will give them space while we play together.

I made a friend!!
