Crafted By Hand.

Lexington Glassworks, located in the heart of downtown Asheville, NC, was born out of the desire to create timeless and innovative hand-blown glass and custom lighting. Each piece is skillfully crafted using century old techniques and locally sourced material with the singular goal of creating top-notch work.

We Are Makers.

Driven by a mutual desire to do what we love and armed with a strong vision, we set out to open Lexington Glassworks. Like most great ideas, Lexington Glassworks began to take shape over beers with friends. Both looking for the next adventure and at the end of our inadvertently parallel road trips across America, we landed in Asheville. Trusting our gut and already enamored with the area from previous visits to the Penland School of Crafts we knew we wanted to be in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Together we worked to design, build and create a studio and gallery that would reflect our passion for glassblowing, vision for unique design, and desire to share all of this with you.

Proud to be a part of one of the Southeast’s most renowned arts destination, we are committed to and passionate about the continued cultivation of the glass community in Asheville. At Lexington Glassworks, we pride ourselves on our open door culture. By inviting you to view the glassblowing process from start to finish, we hope to grow an appreciation for and relationship with the artist making the glass and the pieces on display in the gallery. We invite you to watch the artists at work, as well as peruse the gallery for the perfect accent piece for your home, office or a unique gift for a special occasion.

DESIGN PROCESS Inspired by the interactions between space and object we believe that unique lighting and art are essential to the enhancement of place. Work with our team of artists and lighting consultants to bring your lighting vision to completion.

Our Process is Simple.

Schedule a One-on-One Consultation In this meeting, we’ll work together with you to assess your lighting needs, discuss priorities, and put together a game plan for your custom lighting project. We’ll give you a lot of ideas in this meeting, but we’ll also do a lot of listening. We’ll discuss the scope of your project in detail, as well as your budget and timeline to ensure upfront that those are realistically aligned with what you want to accomplish.

Design Development This is where we really dig into the details and start to make your project’s design concept a reality.

Establish Space Begin by sharing your vision for the space with our lighting consultants.

Help us find the right design for you, send us images or inspiration as well as dimensions and color preferences.

Choose Shape Let us walk you through our lighting shapes and sizes to find just the right fit for your space based on your project dimensions and pendant positioning.

Choose Style With our creative direction select the perfect LGW style that is tailored to your space.

Choose Color Select from an extensive color palette with your design concept in mind.

All pieces are made to order. Each item is individually crafted by hand; bubbles are an inherent part of hand-blown glass. Pieces may vary in size, shape, and color. Please allow up to 12-14 weeks for your order to be completed, this does not include shipping time. All sales are final. No refunds.
