About LexFUN

A Vibrant Community of Parents with Young Children

Lexington’s Five and Under Network (LexFUN!) is a diverse community of parents with preschool-aged children 5 years old and younger, serving Lexington and the surrounding area. Founded in 1942, LexFUN! is one of the largest volunteer-run parent organizations in Massachusetts, providing social, educational and community events and activities. It is a non-profit organization and a recognized member of the Massachusetts Parent Teachers Association. LexFUN! also maintains its own charitable endowment, the LexFUND!, supporting local families with emergency funds, granting preschool scholarships and funding other community initiatives.

100% volunteer-driven, everything offered is due to the incredible parents who dedicate their time and energy to our events, initiatives and programs. LexFUN! is incredibly grateful to our generous sponsors and community partners, who enable us to continue the long-running efforts of connecting families with young children, while building a foundation for parents in our community.

Mission: To enrich the lives of families with young children in and around Lexington and provide support for our members and the communities we serve.

Vision: To foster a community of parents with babies, toddlers and preschoolers, by hosting a wide range of family, social, child-focused and community events. To support parents by offering social connections, kindergarten programming to ease the transition, and providing information on everything from preschools to local happenings. And finally, to educate our youngest citizens about Lexington and provide opportunities for community participation.
